I’m jealous because I love you, what about you? Nathan, do you really love ?!"
The servant heard the commotion upstairs and hurried up, rushing into the Study Room.
"Sir, Miss, what’s going on?!"
Sally Dalton took a deep breath, turned around, and dashed towards the door.
"Miss!"
The servant quickly followed, and by this ti, Nathan Leafcastle also ca to his senses, striding over the shattered pieces on the ground and rushing to the staircase entrance.
At this mont, Sally Dalton had already reached the foyer.
Watching her silhouette, Nathan Leafcastle was burning with anxiety.
On the right side of his foot, a shard of a cup had pierced through his slipper, cutting into the side of his foot, causing blood to spill out. Stepping on the wooden floor left a curved trace of blood, which he hadn’t noticed at all.
Rushing down, Nathan Leafcastle darted over and grabbed Sally Dalton, who was about to pull open the door.
"Sally, I’m sorry... please listen to my explanation."
"Let go!"
Sally Dalton struggled forcefully.
At that mont, the servant cried out in alarm.
"Sir, your foot... it’s bleeding!"
Upon hearing this, Sally Dalton imdiately stopped struggling and looked at Nathan Leafcastle’s foot. Indeed, his right foot was covered in blood, flowing down with his slipper.
She was startled, hastily supporting his arm.
"Quick... sit on the sofa!"
The servant also hurried over, supporting Nathan Leafcastle’s other arm and helping him to sit on the sofa.
Sally Dalton lifted his right foot, seeing a shard of wine glass embedded under the slipper, she carefully removed his slipper.
The shard had pierced through the slipper and cut the side of his foot, fortunately, it was on the side, only a cut.
No longer caring about being angry, she quickly grabbed a tissue to press against his wound, instructing the servant to help apply pressure, then hurriedly stood up.
"I’ll go get the car, we’ll go to the hospital imdiately!"
Nathan Leafcastle grabbed her arm, and Sally Dalton, unprepared, fell directly onto the sofa.
Holding her arms, he furrowed his brows, "Sally, I’m sorry, just now I..."
"Don’t speak, let’s get to the hospital first." she urged.
"Can you forgive ?"
"You’re still bleeding!"
"Please forgive , okay? I promise, it won’t happen again, I beg you."
His deep eyes locked on hers, full of earnestness.
Her heart raced with anxiety, and she nodded imdiately.
"Okay, I forgive you, let’s hurry to the hosp..."
Before she could finish, she was pulled into his embrace.
"Thank you, Sally, don’t leave , I’ve already lost my mother, I can’t lose you too."
"Nathan!" Sally Dalton’s voice choked up, "Do you really love ?"
"I don’t know, all I know is, I don’t want to lose you. Don’t leave , okay? Promise you won’t leave!"
Her face pressed against his shoulder, Sally Dalton nodded tearfully.
"Okay!"
Hearing her agreent, the heavy weight lifted from Nathan Leafcastle’s heart, imdiately clutching the girl in his arms tightly. Feeling his movent, Sally Dalton patted his back with her palm.
"Then shall we go to the hospital now, to treat the wound?"
"It’s just a minor injury, it’s okay."
"Then let bandage it for you!"
Sally Dalton gently withdrew from his embrace and imdiately stood up, by this ti, the servant had already fetched the first-aid kit, and she was busy kneeling on the ground, placing Nathan Leafcastle’s injured foot on her lap, carefully cleaning, disinfecting, and bandaging it.
The girl’s actions were careful and gentle, each ti Nathan Leafcastle winced in pain and retracted his leg, she would frown as well, showing a look of distress.
