Now reading: Chapter 1650 - 909: Vivian’s Confession (Part 2) from I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means, a Action novel by Dangerous Tower Listening to Rain.

Facing Vivian, who appeared pitiful and brazenly displayed her devilish curves in front of him, Lis remained unmoved and continued:

"Your way of doing things is quite different from other demons."

This was also Lis’s impression.

In his view, Vivian resembled those Order Camp rchants, striving to achieve their goals through various ans.

That is to say, unlike the frenzied Abyss Demons, the impression Vivian Tavern gave Lis was as if it maintained the requisite wisdom.

This was quite rare in the Endless Abyss.

Of course, such Abyss Demons were not nonexistent.

Demogorgon was such a representative.

Therefore, Lis remained cautious about this.

"Of course, that’s why we need more friends."

Vivian nodded slightly and said:

"Just like when I first t Sir Edward, I understood that you were soone like us."

"We are of the sa kind!"

"So, providing you with so information is also our sincerity."

"If I were to die in those ruins, that sincerity wouldn’t bode well."

Lis said calmly.

"Of course, we don’t wish for such a thing to happen either."

"But in the end, such a thing didn’t happen, did it?"

"eting you again assures you’ve gained considerable benefits, which is the best result!"

"If that’s the case, then that’s the best."

Lis gave Vivian a deep look and then said:

"In that case, does the previous commission still stand?"

Upon hearing this, Vivian paused for a mont and then said with a smile:

"Of course it does. I wonder what you discovered in Timothy’s ruins?"

Lis then recounted his experiences in Timothy’s ruins.

Most of it described his ti before entering the Sea of Blood.

As for his gain, Lis rely claid to have found part of Timothy’s Power of Blood, which he used to enhance his strength.

As he described, Lis’s mind raced.

If what Vivian said was true, then who exactly was the entity behind the so-called Vivian Tavern?

Lis harbored considerable doubt about this.

Though Vivian’s reasons seed reasonable, achieving such a reasonable result in the Endless Abyss was unusual.

However, from Vivian’s account, Lis could understand that the forces behind Vivian might involve many powerful entities.

This wasn’t sothing just any ordinary Abyss Lord could achieve.

Lis had rely scratched the surface.

He needed to be more cautious.

It was best not to return to Timothy’s ruins until he had reached Legend status.

Lis was at the threshold of breaking through to Legend, and he wasn’t in a hurry; rather, he prepared to solidify his foundation, eliminate any hidden dangers, and then attempt a breakthrough.

At that point, the manipulatable Space available to Lis would be much larger.

Moreover, upon reaching Legend, Timothy’s Knowledge legacy would fully open to Lis.

It surely involved many Hidden Secrets about the Endless Abyss and its Evil Gods.

Though many years had passed and the Endless Abyss had certainly changed, the shifts at the level of Evil Gods should not be significant.

Additionally, the force behind Vivian Tavern surely wasn’t a recent ergence.

So to speak, Timothy’s Knowledge legacy should contain more information about Vivian Tavern.

At that ti, it could offer much more assistance to Lis.

Therefore, Lis wasn’t in a rush to resolve the current matters.

After a while, Vivian handed the promised soul coins to Lis.

Upon accepting the soul coins, Lis nodded slightly and left directly.

Watching Lis leave, Vivian, who had been focused on recording, casually packed away the scroll filled with information about Timothy’s ruins.

She looked toward the path Lis took, her expression unchanged, though her eyes held a hint of doubt.

...

In Tobias’s Small World,

Escape and Encirclent

The sky seed shrouded by a massive, ink-laden curtain, presenting a gloomy dark gray hue that threatened to engulf the entire world.

The Sun had long since set, leaving no trace, only the raging wind howling wildly between heaven and earth.

The wind swept up the fallen leaves, carrying the strands of cold from autumn and rcilessly drilling into every crevice, causing an involuntary shiver.

On the road to Rekton City, a carriage was hurriedly racing along the path.

The driver looked anxious, tightly gripping the reins, constantly wielding the whip to urge the horses to speed up.

The horses too seed to sense the approaching danger, galloping with all their might, stirring up clouds of Dust.

However, it seed soone didn’t intend to let them go so easily.

In the distance behind the carriage, several black figures could be seen, sprinting ghost-like in pursuit.

Their agility and speed surpassed that of the galloping carriage, quickly closing in from the rear.

They were clad in black robes with black face coverings, leaving only pairs of eyes that glimred with a fierce glow, as if they were ssengers from Hell, bringing with them an endless intent to kill.

One among them had a flash of ruthlessness in his eyes, a sinister Arrow with an evil aura flashed in his hand and shot towards the carriage like a teor.

The arrow traced a strange arc in the air with a sharp whistling sound, heading straight for the carriage.

At the mont the arrow hit the carriage, a loud explosion was heard as the arrow burst apart, sending the carriage shaking violently under the powerful impact.

The horse let out a mournful neigh, raising its front hooves high before crashing heavily to the ground.

The carriage shattered under the attack, wooden fragnts flying everywhere.

At this critical mont, a figure shot out from the carriage like lightning.

It was an agile man, tightly holding two children in his arms.

He exerted all his strength, sorsaulting in the air to escape the attack’s range, landing ahead.

Yet, the pursuers at the back gave them little breathing room.

The black figures accelerated, surging like a tide, imdiately surrounding the trio who had exited the carriage.

They held various weapons, tightly surrounding the man and the two children.

They ford an impenetrable encirclent, leaving no opportunity for escape.

The man kept the two children behind him, his eyes scanning the enemies around, his body crouching slightly, ready for battle.

This man wore simple leather armor, the original brown color marred by countless battles, bearing battle scars all over.

His hair was sowhat unkempt, as if whipped by fierce winds, and appeared as if it hadn’t been maintained for a long ti.

Strands of hair clung ssily to his face, obscuring parts of his determined profile.

In his arms, the two children, a boy and a girl, appeared to be around ten years old.

Originally in relatively fine clothing, their garnts were soft and smooth, subtly gleaming under the faint light.

Black thread embroidered a nacing fla on the clothes, as if it would leap from the fabric at any mont, imparting a Mysterious and majestic feel.

Yet at the mont, both children were dirty all over.

The boy’s face was covered in Dust, streaks of gri resembling small bugs crawling on his cheeks, whitening his originally fair skin.

His hair was disheveled, resembling a bird’s nest, stubbornly clinging to several grass flecks.

The girl’s situation was no better, her skirt sared with mud, dirt patches making her previously beautiful dress look pitiful.

Her hands clung tightly to the man’s clothing, her eyes filled with Fear and unease, her small body trembling slightly in the man’s embrace.
