Chapter 627: Chapter 416 Unexpected Clue_2

But no matter how much they struggled, they were unable to touch or rid themselves of the shackles bound to their bodies, as if they were directly connected to their souls.

“What in the world is this thing?”

A vampire cursed out loud, begrudgingly parrying Angela’s attacks in frustration.

On the other side, Lis watched Angela, who had everything under control and was completely suppressing the three Gold-level vampires; victory was only a matter of ti.

Indeed, a Divine Son of Cain, she absolutely dominated these vampires.

Moreover, the blood scythe Angela wielded send shivers down Lis’s spine.

Could it be the power of the god, Cain himself?

Lis shook his head, dismissing the idea of prying into a deity’s domain.

He wasn’t ready to die that way, and besides, it made little difference whether the power was in Angela’s hands or his own.

Glancing over at the two remaining Gold-level vampires standing not far off, Lis was curious and asked with a smile:

“Aren’t you going to take action?”

“Or have you already resigned yourselves to fate?”

“Of course not.”

Palr, who had the appearance of a little boy, said in a deep voice:

“I don’t know who you are, nor do I want to know why you have set this trap for us.”

“We don’t wish to fight; just open the magic array and let us leave. That’s all.”

“You can na whatever conditions you want!”

Palr and Antoine had drawn closer together just now, conveniently not separated by Angela, and now both faced Lis together.

“Why do you think I would let you leave?”

Lis asked with so patience, not really caring.

If it were any other vampires, he would have attacked without a word.

However, there was sothing odd about the aura of the two vampires before him, which made Lis wary.

Especially the Gold-level vampire with the appearance of an old man—he actually made Lis feel a hint of threat.

This vampire must be the strongest present here today.

“We serve under the Prince’s crown.”

Palr watched Lis cautiously and spoke softly:

“You should know what that signifies, right?”

“Under the Prince’s crown?”

Lis was genuinely surprised. He had not expected to hear such a revelation at this juncture, and his brow furrowed slightly.

“If it were a Legendary Crown, then of course there would be no problem in letting you go.”

“But how can I be sure that you aren’t deceiving ?”

Lis certainly did not intend to actually let the two vampires go, but sothing subconsciously felt off to him.

Could it be true, as this vampire claid, and that strange sensation was in fact the influence of a Legendary Vampire?

But that couldn’t be, if what they said was true, what would a Legendary Vampire be doing near the Bolin Kingdom?

There was no such intelligence in his mories from his past life, especially since he knew that the Blood Clan’s Legendary Prince Burns was in the Bolin Kingdom. Would he be unconcerned about another Legendary Vampire’s presence?

Then again, given the Blood Clan’s lazy nature, it was quite possible they were sleeping through it and failed to notice.

Or maybe they had recently arrived in the Bolin Kingdom?

Sohow, Lis felt that this Legendary Vampire might be related to the Elf Forest.

It couldn’t all just be a coincidence.

With that thought, Lis’s spirit lifted.

He hadn’t expected such a gain!

Lis focused his attention on the two in front of him, ready to continue trying to extract more information.

“…”

Palr didn’t know how to respond to Lis for a mont. How could they prove the existence of a Legendary Crown behind them?

The reason for their presence in the Bolin Kingdom was an assignnt from Prince Flano, carrying out his orders in secret.

Because this task was extrely confidential, they had been prohibited from even ntioning the Prince’s na, and aside from the treasure given to them by the Prince himself, they had no other items related to the Prince.

This was to conceal the Prince’s existence by all ans possible, even in the event of their death.

Although now, the task given to them by His Highness had been completed, the prohibition within their souls had not been lifted.

“Just a whiff of His Highness’s presence on an item will do, let have a look,” said Lis with a smile, enthusiastically offering the two vampires suggestions.

“If all else fails, telling the respected na of that Highness will work too,” he said.

Palr remained silent, simply shaking his head.

He wished to speak but couldn’t.

Seeing this, Lis’s expression beca sowhat conflicted, as if weighing whether it was worth the risk of offending a Legendary Crown.

But he had already made an estimate in his heart; it seed there truly was such a Legendary Vampire in existence.

After all, if the other party were lying, they could easily make up a false na, and yet this Vampire appeared quite hesitant.

This was the effect of a prohibition; they could not speak any related information, not even fabricate it.

Lis felt that he had caught a big fish and was just about to probe further when he heard the elder say:

“Alright, no need to say more.”

“The other side has no intention of letting us go; speaking more is futile.”

Palr glanced at Antoine with so reluctance but had to swallow the words he wanted to say.

“How do you know it won’t work if you don’t try?”

Lis turned his gaze toward Antoine and shook his head as he spoke.

Without further words, Antoine erupted with a surge of crimson Strength, which spread towards Lis like thick, flowing blood plasma.

Compared to Angela, Antoine’s power was even more chaotic and evil, exemplifying endless greed and filth.

“An Extraordinary Domain?”

Lis’s brows lifted; indeed, this Vampire was the strongest, possessing an Extraordinary Domain.

However, this was not much of an issue for Lis. Blue Wind Blades, mixed with silvery-white Thunder, cleared away the blood plasma in an instant, leaving only an unpleasant sll lingering in the air.

After thwarting Antoine’s attack, Lis slightly sidestepped to see Palr’s claws, wrapped in bloody power, silently swiping by.

“Oh? Are you an assassin?”

Lis said with a smile, looking at the sowhat surprised Palr, as a Shield appeared in his hand and smashed the other into the ground.

Just as Lis was about to do the sa and control him with a special prohibition, Antoine’s Magic Attack had already struck from behind.

Lis could only dodge to temporarily avoid the attack of the filthy, blood-colored magic sphere.

He could feel it contained the deeply corrupt power of the other’s Extraordinary Domain; even he didn’t want to co into direct contact with it.

Palr, who had just caught his breath, retreated to Antoine’s side and said with lingering fear: “What kind of freak is this guy; isn’t he a Mage?”

Lis’s reaction just now, his speed, and Strength, were not sothing a Mage should possess, but he had previously controlled such a huge Magic Array, so he couldn’t possibly be of another Profession.

“You should have realized it when he killed Malfoy,” Antoine remarked in a low voice, without taking his eyes off Lis.

Seeing this, Lis no longer delayed.

With a wave of his hand, a multitude of azure teor Fire Rain fell from the sky, rcilessly crashing down on all the Vampires on the battlefield.

Fueled by Lis’s abundant Magic Power, each Fire teor was the size of a human head, their intense azure flas causing the Vampires to shrink back in fear, unable to resist head-on.

Under Lis’s control, all the Fire teors avoided his teammates, to avoid affecting them as much as possible.

Lis had many other arcane spells that were area-of-effect, which were difficult to control at this ti, and could cause irreparable destruction to Kate City, so he refrained from using them.

Watching Antoine and Palr dodging in the distance, Lis drew a Longsword from his storage ring and charged towards the two Vampires.

Even while fending off the Fire teors, the two noticed Lis’s movents.

“Let’s go for it!”

Palr, anxious, was clearly aware of the power disparity between himself and Lis; staying any longer was pointless.

Antoine, with a grim face, didn’t hesitate, gripping his Magic Wand in his right hand and a pristine Tusk that hung before his chest in his left.
