Chapter 793: Chapter 494 [Heart of Life]_2

Sinderson always intrigued , clearly a priest, yet so curious about warrior skills.

Lis didn’t find it strange, and even ntioned that it’s common among priests in the Human Kingdom.

I’m not sure if what Lis said is true, but Daphne really couldn’t imagine herself wielding a hamr in battle.

Sigh~

Daphne tilted her head, thinking about it made her feel troubled.

When will I be able to formally change my profession, and practice like everyone else in the village?

Adela always says there’s no rush, but she won’t tell what exactly we’re waiting for.

I didn’t care much when I was in the Elf Land before, but after that trip outside, Daphne started getting antsy.

Especially when Lis forcibly sparred with her, always pinning her to the ground and roughing her up.

Once I officially change my profession, I’ll be even better than Lis!

Just as she psyched herself up, Daphne quickly beca dejected again.

Lis is so incredible, it feels like she could never catch up…

Aaaah~

So annoying!

Daphne vented in her mind, not knowing why, although she used to not care about these things, sothing felt odd ever since she returned to Elf Land.

Especially when those in the village teased her, it always felt like they were hiding sothing from her.

“Daphne, you’re here!”

“I’ve missed you so much!”

A crisp voice echoed from inside the room, interrupting Daphne’s thoughts.

Looking up, Daphne saw a white little shadow bursting from the windowsill straight into the basket she was holding in her hand.

“Oh, Angela, don’t rush!”

Daphne, no longer dwelling on her thoughts, quickly placed the basket on the table and lifted out a little bat nibbling on a fresh apple.

During Lis’s days in Elf Land, Daphne was in charge of his daily als.

However, since Lis discovered the library in the village, he dove right in, and I don’t know how he manages those complex magic books.

Often, Lis stayed in the Magic Workshop, imrsed in research, eating haphazardly, and at tis, resolving his hunger with dry rations stored in his storage ring.

For a Professional of Lis’s strength, not eating for long periods was not an issue.

Although feeling hungry, the magic power inside him was enough to sustain him.

Thus, many tis, the food prepared by Daphne ended up being devoured by Angela, the glutton.

Though Daphne’s cooking wasn’t as good as Lis’s, the fruits and vegetables from Elf Land were far superior to those from outside.

So, Angela enjoyed it endlessly.

After placing the food in front of Angela, Daphne walked towards the basent down the spiral stairs.

It had been several days since she had seen Lis, which felt much longer than usual.

Daphne thought she should check on him, hoping Lis hadn’t passed out from his magic research.

As Daphne stood in front of the Magic Workshop’s iron door, cautiously preparing to push it open, the door suddenly pulled open, revealing Lis’s tired figure in front of Daphne.

Lis’s black robe, usually glossy and neat, was now marred with blotchy stains and inexplicable marks. Notably, those stains were mixed with fine tal powder, irregularly scattering across the lapels, cuffs, and hem, twinkling with a dismal, cold light, as if hinting at the content of Lis’s recent magic research.

Lis stood there looking exhausted, his face slightly pale, fatigue written all over, his eyes red but as bright as the stars in the night sky, even carrying a hint of joy.

“Lis, are you alright?”

Daphne cautiously asked, looking at Lis.

Lis’s current state made her feel as though she might collapse at any mont.

Lis rubbed her temples to relieve the fatigue, and only then did she notice the stains on her clothes.

She casually used the Cleaning Skill to remove the stains from her clothes and said with a smile,

“It’s okay, I’m just a little tired.”

Although her body was very fatigued, Lis was still sowhat excited.

The experint had gone more smoothly than she had imagined, thanks largely to the precious magic books from the Library in the Elf Land.

It was no surprise that Elf Land, the Holy Land of the Elf Kingdom, housed almost all the extraordinary knowledge accumulated since the founding of the Elf Kingdom, and the number of magic books there was even comparable to that of the Dream Library in the Azela Floating City.

The most invaluable to Lis were the heritage of the ancient Magic Empire that the Elf Kingdom had acquired and the unique magic skills and arts developed by the elves over countless years.

Because the elves naturally have an affinity with nature and life-related domains, their magic research also leans toward these areas.

Whether it was those unique elf magics or aspects such as the Elf Enchantnt Technique, they all opened up new domains for Lis.

Recently, Lis had been researching a technique in elf magic that involves channeling life energy through special elf magic runes.

This was also a type of special enchantnt thod, nad “Life Enchantnt!”

Through this technique, the elves could better guide and control life energy, whether it was the life energy possessed by living beings or contained within special magic items.

This thod was much more ticulous than any Lis had mastered before, greatly avoiding the loss of life energy during the guiding process.

You see, life energy, unlike magic power, was also a type of extraordinary power but had always been difficult for others to control.

With this technique, elves could even channel life energy from their surroundings during battles to assist their fighting and restore their own condition.

However, mastering this technique was quite difficult; it required not only a high magic talent and strength but also a keen perception of life energy.

It was very difficult even for a Golden Mage to master this technique, and it generally belonged to the domain of Legendary Mages.

Therefore, Lis had never seen any elves use it in the previous battles.

Upon discovering this knowledge in the Library, Lis imdiately realized its significance to her.

Not to ntion, being a World Tree Favored, Lis, who had the Martial Monk basic profession’s specialty “Proof of Nature,” had already maximized her perception of life energy.

Having the talent “All-Purpose,” and mastering the Extraordinary Domains “Nature” and “Life,” Lis was in no way lacking in strength or talent.

Thus, Lis quickly mastered the “Life Enchantnt” technique and did not encounter much difficulty.

“Life Enchantnt” typically involved operations on weapons and armor to be used in battle.

It could even apply through Body Enchantnt techniques, directly on the body.

However, Body Enchantnt was generally more commonly used by warriors, because its downside is that it requires a high physical strength and might disrupt the flow of magic power in the body.

Although Lis’s physical strength far exceeded the requirents, she did not intend to subject her own body to it.

She had a better purpose.

That was the Legendary material she had just acquired, the “Legendary Life Ancient Tree Tree Heart”!

She could completely use the “Life Enchantnt” technique to turn this tree heart into Extraordinary Equipnt, fully unleashing and enhancing the life power contained within the “Legendary Life Ancient Tree Tree Heart.”

This was what she had been studying lately, and it was much more efficient than her gradual absorption.

Although she hadn’t continued researching Extraordinary Equipnt production capabilities since arriving at the Elf Forest,
