Su Bai and his companion arrived at the wooden wall under the protection of Totem Warriors, where Warriors continued their patrol along the periter at all tis.

Each Warrior carried not only a spear but also held a recurve bow, with a Crocodile Blade hanging from their waist. These three weapons served as comprehensive preparation for any battle, with the 24-hour patrol rotation maintaining constant vigilance from dawn to dusk.

"Shaman!" The patrolling Warriors imdiately stood at attention upon seeing the Shaman, halting their steps and maintaining rigid posture with evident respect.

"Well done. You may have extra at for your evening al." Su Bai acknowledged with a satisfied nod.

He observed that all personnel demonstrated complete dedication, maintaining proper bearing whether walking or performing other duties, never displaying any negligence in their responsibilities.

"Shaman, this is our duty," the Warriors responded in unison, clearly pleased to receive personal recognition from the Shaman.

"En." Su Bai replied, raising his gaze to examine the wooden wall’s upper section. The original wall consisted of rely rows of upright logs.

However, current preparations for the eternal night required reinforcent of this wooden wall. Where previously individual logs had been arranged in sequence, additional large logs now provided rear support for the wall’s structure.

These supporting logs ford triangular braces against the primary wall, designed to enhance its structural integrity. Furthermore, since sentry posts were to be constructed atop this wall, additional reinforcent was essential.

"Shaman, all sentry posts above have been completed." Yu Ying reported after surveying the surrounding area.

She had frequently visited this location to monitor both the sentry post construction progress and project tilines.

"The number of them exceeds my initial expectations." Su Bai observed, looking upward.

The sentry posts were positioned at close intervals, with connecting passages linking each structure. This ant all sentry posts ford an integrated network, allowing direct access between each post.

These modifications had not been part of his original instructions to them. This indicated this was their independent initiative in implenting these improvents, which pleased him greatly.

"En, this differs sowhat from your design, but I believe the result is better…" Yu Ying responded quickly, concerned that the Shaman might disapprove.

"This is great. Since the sentry posts are interconnected, others can provide mutual support and assistance when needed." Su Bai said.

These were his heartfelt words. His initial focus was centred on using sentry posts to repel Ferocious Beast when they attacked. He had not thought of connecting each post.

Given that these sentry posts would be dismantled after the eternal night to make way for the construction of a cent wall, he had not devoted extensive ti and consideration to such details.

His priority had gone towards the rapid building of sentry posts within a short tifra. They had not only achieved this objective but had also incorporated nurous enhancents to his own design.

"Shaman, I wonder how Ah’Hua and the others are doing?" Yu Ying suddenly said.

Yu Ying remained concerned about Yan Hua’s safety, particularly given the current hazardous conditions in the snowy and icy environnt.

"Don’t worry too much. Co with to inspect the green house." Su Bai said, taking Yu Ying’s hand as they departed.

He preferred not to dwell on such concerns at present, choosing instead to maintain complete confidence in their capabilities.

"Yes," Yu Ying nodded, her face imdiately flushing red. This was the second ti he held her hand today.

When they had departed from the Yong’an Building earlier and he had taken her hand, her face had also reddened, accompanied by a racing heart.

"Are you sick? Your hand feels quite warm…" Su Bai paused and turned back, placing his hand against her forehead.

"No, I am just very happy…" Yu Ying replied shyly, lowering her head imdiately, her entire body warming due to embarrassnt.

This represented a characteristic unique to Yu Ying. While others typically experienced facial flushing and warming when embarrassed, her entire body would heat up.

"I thought you might have co down with a fever. But why are you suddenly so happy?" Su Bai’s thick black eyebrows rose slightly.

This marked his first notice of Yu Ying’s body warming up when happy. He had not previously noticed this had happened. She would just blush in the past.

Yu Ying remained silent, continuing to look downward while her pink eyes focused on their joined hands.

Su Bai followed her gaze, observing their clasped hands and noting Yu Ying’s happy, blushing expression. He imdiately understood.

Suppressing his laughter, he said, "Ah! So that’s why. This is normal, no?"

To him, holding hands was nothing worth ntioning. In fact, he hopes she would get used to it.

"Yes, this is very normal." Yu Ying quickly agreed with a nod, though still not daring to raise her head.

Su Bai said no further, continuing to hold her hand as they walked, both maintaining an atmosphere of mutual understanding that silence was better for the both of them.

*Step step step…*

After thirty minutes, they reached the inside of the greenhouse. Upon opening the door, overwhelming heat imdiately enveloped them.

Such temperatures would prove unbearable during sumr, yet in the current snow season, the warmth felt exceptionally comfortable.

"The plants are thriving." Su Bai observed after surveying the surroundings, noting that the crops all exceeded his expectations in terms of size.

"The greenhouse is really amazing after all. We have never eaten any vegetables during the snow season…" Yu Ying could not help but say in marvel.

Though she had witnessed how remarkable the greenhouse was, ti and ti again, each viewing continued to inspire wonder. The environnt felt magical, resembling a garden isolated from the world.

"The other greenhouses are doing as well as this?" Su Bai asked, crouching to examine a cabbage.

"En. The crops in every greenhouse are flourishing." Yu Ying imdiately said.

Her morning schedule remained quite demanding, involving inspection of each greenhouse and arranging personnel for maintenance, weeding, and crop harvesting.

"Let us gather so tomatoes. We can prepare sothing different later." Su Bai suddenly had an inspiration.

Silavin: Honestly, wasted chapter. What’s the point of coming to the greenhouse again when everything was already said in the last chapter?
