Luo Xudong and Beisitian ca over and saw Tian Qiu taking out two tickets. Beisitian spoke first, "We are here to visit the old military commander."
Tian Qiu’s hand holding the tickets froze in midair, her face showing a brief mont of bewildernt before she chuckled and teased, "You really have a way with words!"
If she had said sothing else, Tian Qiu would have surely sent them back, but since they said they were here to see the old military commander, what else could Tian Qiu say?
Tian Lei looked at Beisitian with newfound admiration. Besides his big brother, this was the first ti he saw soone able to make Tian Qiu speechless. His little sister was truly remarkable!
"Xiao Wu, this isn’t sothing you should be involved in. You’d better not ddle," Tian Qiu said earnestly.
"I just want to see what kind of illness it is, to gain so knowledge," Beisitian said with a smile.
Tian Qiu couldn’t agree. There were plenty of opportunities to learn, but this ti wasn’t one of them.
"Cousin, just let take a look," Beisitian, with her bright eyes and white teeth, called out to Tian Qiu. Tian Qiu felt overwheld, glanced at Luo Xudong, and saw that he was smiling at Beisitian, full of affection in his eyes.
Tian Lei added, "Beibei, this matter is not simple. If they could let you see, they would have done so long ago."
Beisitian saw how stubborn the two were, neither willing to give in, so she could only sigh helplessly, deciding to leave for now.
"Let’s leave here for now," Luo Xudong suggested.
At this mont, Tian Qiu felt a bit embarrassed because she was solely focused on sending Beisitian back and hadn’t even thought about arranging a place for her to stay. Going to the Tian Family was definitely not an option, they would realize it right away. Going to the Weng Family?
She felt out of place at the Weng Family herself and didn’t want to take Beisitian back to receive cold stares.
Luo Xudong saw what they were thinking and said, "We can stay at the guesthouse."
Tian Qiu had never felt so embarrassed. Beisitian had co to the Capital City to find them, yet they had to stay in a guesthouse. But at this mont, there was no better solution, so she could only sigh.
Tian Qiu drove them to the guesthouse and only left after ensuring they were settled and getting the front desk’s phone number.
After the two left, Luo Xudong said to Beisitian, "Let’s manage here for tonight. By tomorrow, we’ll have a place to stay."
Beisitian looked at him, sowhat puzzled.
Luo Xudong rarely saw her with such a confused look; he gently caressed her delicate face and said, "You have so much business on this side, so I bought a courtyard. However, we can’t move in until tomorrow."
Beisitian was pleasantly surprised when she heard this, "So, we have our own house in the Capital City?"
"Yes, it’s in your na," Luo Xudong said as he affectionately ruffled her hair.
Beisitian raised her eyebrows with a smile, "So, have you been keeping a stash of money?"
Luo Xudong’s stipend would all be handed to her, and he didn’t have much left on hand since he didn’t need it in the military.
Luo Xudong chuckled, understanding she was joking, but he still explained, "It’s from that ti, so of the money could not be explained or revealed, so it wasn’t handed in."
Beisitian of course knew what "that ti" was, suddenly realizing, "So it’s not a small stash... it’s a big stash!"
Buying a house in the Capital City was nothing short of a big stash!
Luo Xudong laughed, biting that mischievous little mouth, kissing her deeply. Beisitian, who had not expected his sudden attack, blushed profusely.
"Hiding a big stash of money requires punishnt..." Beisitian could barely speak.
"How about this as payback?" Luo Xudong’s deep and husky voice sounded in Beisitian’s ear as he effortlessly pressed her down.
Early the next morning, Luo Xudong and Beisitian woke up and checked out. They packed their things, called a cab, and headed to the newly purchased courtyard.
The small courtyard was within the under-construction Third Ring, a small quadrangle. The area wasn’t too small, yet not too big either. The surrounding houses had three rooms each, about ten square ters each. More than enough for the two of them, even if more people ca to stay.
There was a Chinese toon tree in the courtyard, growing very well. They say it produced a lot of Chinese toon every year, perfect for making Chinese toon fish stew.
"It’s so spacious! It’s a pity we’re in Anding City, otherwise, we could bring mom and others to live here," Beisitian said with a smile as she looked at the large courtyard.
Luo Xudong was quite moved by the idea; being transferred here seed like a great idea. Moreover, the military district courtyard was right next door, populated with military families, making it quite convenient.
However, transfers between military units, especially to the Capital, weren’t an easy thing.
The place seed just recently tidied up, and probably cleaned overnight, as so areas on the ground were still untidy. The essentials, like beds and cabinets, were there in the rooms. However, there were no chairs or tables.
Even though they were going to stay here for a few days, they didn’t have ti to buy furniture, which Beisitian found rather unfortunate.
anwhile, Tian Qiu arrived at the guesthouse in the morning only to hear from the front desk that they had already checked out. She felt like she had been struck by lightning. They left, but where to?
They shouldn’t be familiar with the Capital City, how could they roam around?
The Capital is so vast that Tian Qiu had no idea where to find them, feeling very frustrated. Her big brother’s phone rang; it was Tian Lei, who said he found the two and gave her the address.
Tian Qiu imdiately drove over. Upon arriving at the courtyard, she was amazed. Once inside, seeing it was empty inside, she truly believed this house had just been purchased.
Actually, after the last ti Luo Xudong treated Wu Yuekai, he began reconnecting with so old acquaintances here. This courtyard was also helped out by them, through legitimate channels, making it safe to reside.
Beisitian also planned to take this opportunity to invest in so shares while in the Capital City, contemplating whether to invest thirty thousand or forty thousand.
This was sothing Luo Xudong didn’t plan on ddling with. He believed Beisitian knew what she was doing and could make her own decisions. Whatever made her happy was fine, and even if she did lose, he would still be there for her. Hence, he was completely laid-back with Beisitian regarding this.
When Tian Qiu arrived, the two were sitting at the plum stone table in the courtyard chatting. She imdiately said, with a hint of exasperation, "Oh, you two, left without a word, making co up empty-handed over there."
"Cousin, with a new ho, we’re unable to host you," Beisitian said with a smile.
Seeing Beisitian treating her so politely, Tian Qiu said no more. She looked around and noticed the house was terribly empty, then remarked, "It’s so empty, not even a blanket to cover at night. Are you planning to warm each other up?"
Luo Xudong’s throat bobbed twice, his eyes deepening; his favorite part of the night was holding her soft body while sleeping.
Beisitian blushed furiously. This cousin of hers, she really dared to say anything!
