Zhou Biwu definitely knows information about that person. Beisitian really wants to have a private conversation with him, but after the banquet, Zhou Biwu left without staying.

Beisitian thought it over and felt that Zhou Biwu couldn’t possibly not be curious about soone who looks so similar. But why did he leave so abruptly?

She suddenly rembered the gift Zhou Biwu gave her and recalled that he said she would definitely be interested in it. Perhaps it has sothing to do with this matter.

People were leaving one after another. Wu Yuekai and Tao Hailin stayed until the end. Wei Yuanqing also wanted to stay, but because of so family issues, he had to rush back ho.

Tao Hailin and his senior disciple Li Zhengjun sat there, pondering how to form an alliance with Beisitian to maintain more of their autonomy.

Wu Yuekai sipped his tea, his mind occupied as well. The girl seed a bit absent-minded. Did sothing happen?

Tao Hailin noticed Beisitian was silent and thought she was putting on airs, so he spoke first: "Doctor Bei, I wonder if you’re aware of the current situation. Those Mystic Doctors who use human lives to make disastrous waters have begun to show signs. Reports of their activities have been coming from various places."

The talking rights here naturally pertain to the dical field, but even though it’s just one area, it’s an extrely important one for the country. If these people really seize control of this domain, the country will have to compromise in so aspects!

One compromise ans more compromises, and those people are ambitious. They definitely don’t just want dominance in the dical field. Tao Hailin suspects they’re planning to break through from the dical field and then proceed to large-scale control.

Most Mystic Doctors see themselves as above worldly matters. People like these have skills and can decide life and death. So inflated ones believe they’re holding the power of life and death over humanity. It’s not uncommon for many to have such thoughts. If these people gather together, good things surely won’t happen.

Tao Hailin first ntioned the current situation, hoping that Beisitian would understand that she is alone and weak, needing to seek allies, so he’s not entirely just asking her!

However, after he finished, Beisitian did not respond, only lowering her gaze in silence. Tao Hailin assud she was contemplating and continued, "Though we on the Left-wing may not be as talented as the Right-wing, our network is extensive, and our information is the most up-to-date. We can get news the quickest. Naturally, with extensive connections, the influence is much greater."

This "much greater" is in comparison to the Wei Family.

He’s telling Beisitian the advantages of their Left-wing faction.

Wu Yuekai listened with a frown. He could understand Tao Hailin’s intentions as the leader of the Left-wing, trying to gain more benefits for his side, but in his heart, he’s on Beisitian’s side. Hearing him continually increase stakes made him sowhat displeased.

Wu Yuekai didn’t speak imdiately. He wanted to see what Beisitian’s plans were.

The curve of Beisitian’s lips gradually increased. She looked up at Tao Hailin and said, "Indeed, under Doctor Tao’s leadership, the Left-wing has beco so powerful. I assu you already have a way to deal with those people."

Tao Hailin was silent. At first listen, these words seed fine, but on closer inspection, sothing felt off. If it were in a context where the parties had reached an alliance, it would naturally be good. But now...

He couldn’t guess Beisitian’s thoughts, but he sensed that she seed slightly impatient.

Tao Hailin frowned slightly. He had never dealt with soone of this age who was more capable than him. Given his age and status, soone Beisitian’s age would be considered too young even for a grand-disciple. Yet, he just encountered such a one.

Not only that, but her personality is also so unpredictable!

Tao Hailin said, "Although we have a wide network, our comprehensive strength is not very strong."

"So you’re looking for an alliance?" Beisitian responded.

Tao Hailin paused. Forming an alliance is fine, but responding like this imdiately puts them in a passive position, as if it was them, the Left-wing, pleading with Beisitian for an alliance. Although it is indeed the case.

Tao Hailin sighed inwardly. This person seems young, but her depth is definitely not that of a twenty-year-old.

Tao Hailin nodded and said, "Indeed, we are looking for allies. Despite our Left-wing’s strength, we still need allies, not to ntion you, Doctor Bei. So, if we can form an alliance..."

Beisitian smiled slightly and said, "Indeed, previously I was alone and weak, but Mr. Wei actively expressed wanting to ally with , and I agreed."

I know you agreed. From today’s scene, it’s obvious!

Tao Hailin felt a blockage in his heart. He knew Beisitian was reminding him that she is not alone now; behind her stands the entire Wei Family, no, not just the Wei Family but also General Wu!

No one knows better than him the influence of General Wu. Such a person, however, deeply cares for Beisitian, so behind Beisitian stands, although not an entire Military Departnt, absolutely ard power.

Given these, indeed there is no need to ally with the Left-wing!

Beisitian indeed wishes to ally with the Left-wing, but Tao Hailin’s attitude is wrong. He’s not thinking about being on equal footing with her but leading among the three parties, which is, of course, impossible!

Most of her thoughts were on the gift Zhou Biwu sent, so she didn’t want to waste any more ti here. If the Left-wing was insincere, she just wouldn’t ally with them.

"This tea’s gone cold, let’s change the pot." Beisitian said lightly.

This was a hint for the guests to leave: the tea is cold, and so it’s ti for people to go too.

Tao Hailin’s face looked sowhat displeased. He stood up, raising his eyebrows, and said, "In that case, I won’t disturb you any longer. Farewell!" After speaking, he turned and walked out.

Li Zhengjun hurriedly followed, sighing in his heart. His master couldn’t let go of his pride.

Wu Yuekai put down his teacup. He had already given Tao Hailin a bridge once. If he didn’t cherish it himself, there wouldn’t be a second bridge.

"Girl, do you have sothing on your mind?" Wu Yuekai looked at Beisitian.

Beisitian sighed, "Old Man, let sort so things out first, I’ll co to see you this afternoon."

Wu Yuekai nodded, understanding her urgency, and left with two guards.

Beisitian hurried to the North House of the Tian Family. Dong Fengzhen was holding a list of gifts. These items had to be rembered for who sent them and their value to reciprocate equivalently in the future if needed.

"Grandma, where’s General Zhou’s gift?" Beisitian asked.

"It’s here." Dong Fengzhen was thinking about how to handle it. General Zhou’s gift had no list, and its contents were unknown, so they had to wait for Beisitian to open it.

Beisitian picked up the red box, removed the red seal, and inside, she found another small box. It was unlocked. She lifted the lid, and inside lay a photograph quietly.

Seeing the photo, Beisitian’s eyes suddenly widened.
