"What about Qingyu?"

Spoke the man seated below Zhou Biwu, nad Chen Jingfeng, a major general in his fifties.

At this mont, he leaned against the back of the chair, hands clasped in front of him, his chest adorned with dals. His face was clean-shaven, and the bronze complexion bore no smile, appearing stern and the resolute lines added to his ruggedness.

At the ntion of Qingyu, the conference room fell silent for a mont, then Zhan Lanqi said, "This faction has been dormant for so many years, would their strength be as before now that they have suddenly reappeared in the public eye?"

She was not keen on letting the Qingyu School intervene. This faction was rather uncanny, despite having few mbers, they have managed to rise to the ranks of a major school, surpassing even the reputation of the Ancient Wood School. Especially since Grandpa Chu ntioned that the young leader, despite not exhibiting any particular skills, has a remarkable ability to win hearts.

In the past, many of the major schools disdained any involvent in governance, but this situation has changed over the years. The current cooperation with the Military Departnt is also the Ancient Wood School taking a tentative first step.

Zhan Lanqi was the diator in this. If both parties were satisfied with the cooperation, one could imagine her future status in both the Military Departnt and among the factions would be significantly different, certainly being valued by both!

Her aptitude in the Mystic dical School was not notable, particularly not among major schools like the Ancient Wood School, where she indeed seed inconspicuous. Fortunately, so family ties within the military allowed her to beco the head of a division-level military hospital, which was quite comndable. Without other opportunities, she might have been stuck at this point.

This was her opportunity. As long as the cooperation satisfied both sides, she would gain what she wanted from it. But if the Qingyu School joined, the honor would greatly diminish. If in the end, Qingyu snatched the honor, she might end up with nothing.

Such occurrences were not rare for Zhan Lanqi. When there was only one collaborator, nothing seed wrong. The Military Departnt would be responsive and tolerate demands to the maximum extent. But with two collaborators, competition erged, and the Military Departnt naturally wouldn’t be as accommodating.

Without you, there would still be them.

Therefore, the one who least wanted other factions or families involved was Zhan Lanqi.

Of course, if it were a small family just wanting to get so lilight, she wouldn’t mind; it would instead highlight the foundation of the Ancient Wood School. However, the na of Qingyu was too big and mysterious. To date, no one could figure out how profound their foundation was. Even Grandpa Chu couldn’t say for sure, so she didn’t want to take such a big risk.

All those present held high positions of power. There were four generals alone, not to ntion a super warrior like Luo Xudong. The level of this eting was very high, highly confidential, with naturally significant task risks but correspondingly high honor.

Anyone speaking in this conference room could not be underestimated.

Everyone pondered over Chen Jingfeng’s words.

Wu Yuekai glanced at Zhou Biwu and then at Chen Jingfeng. Though they seed to talk about the sa person, it seed both were unaware of it. Naturally, he wouldn’t remind them, only choosing to watch how things unfolded.

The task’s main officer in charge was Fang Yushan, with Chen Jingfeng as the secondary. Hence, Wu Yuekai refrained from saying much, just listening intently as the discussion concerned the issue at hand.

Seeing no one speaking, Fang Yushan asked Chen Jingfeng, "As I understand, this Qingyu School is quite renowned, and I’ve heard their patriarch is a very young and capable figure. However, they have indeed been dormant for a few years. Would they be willing to help?"

Zhan Lanqi pressed her lips together; she thought General Fang would take her words into consideration. After all, she was from a major school, and even with a low rank, her words carried weight. Yet, unexpectedly, his concern was whether they would agree?

She said no more, being overly eager might arouse suspicion and aversion from others. Perhaps Qingyu themselves never intended to erge.

Chen Jingfeng said, "I can inquire."

Fang Yushan nodded; his words hinted at having so connections. If the Qingyu School were willing to assist, it would be a significant boost and would also allow digging into their details. Even the military departnt would feel a bit apprehensive about an unknown major Mystic dical School.

Zhan Lanqi frowned internally; unfortunately, she knew just as little about Qingyu. Otherwise, she would definitely find a way to prevent it. Now, trying to find out might already be too late.

Luo Xudong had remained silent, but at this mont spoke up, "This task is very important; inviting a faction we have never collaborated with might delay the task’s progress."

Zhan Lanqi was startled, then inwardly delighted. She never expected Commander Luo would agree with her view at such a critical mont!

With Luo Xudong speaking, her words wouldn’t appear abrupt. She said, "I heard the patriarch of the Qingyu School is an exceptionally capable person. Would soone like that follow Commander Luo’s arrangents?"

Everyone understood her words. Mystic Doctors inherently have high pride, and the major faction mbers even more so. Qingyu’s fa is imnse, yet their details unknown, with the patriarch’s temperant also unclear, save for rumors of his youth. Even older individuals can’t always maintain composure, let alone young, vigorous individuals.

If indeed very proud and difficult to lead, then this task becos hard to complete.

Although the Mystic dical School was invited for assistance, and they would be treated politely, the leadership was with the Military Departnt. Luo Xudong was the main executor of this task; they must follow Luo Xudong’s arrangents.

Luo Xudong remained non-committal regarding Zhan Lanqi’s words. The only thought in his mind was to keep his wife from danger.

Wu Yuekai sipped his tea; it seed this couple had differing views: one wanted participation, while the other didn’t. He decided not to assist either, to avoid offending anyone.

Regarding Luo Xudong’s words, Fang Yushan remained silent, leaving no one knowing his thoughts. Chen Jingfeng glanced at Luo Xudong and asked, "Commander Luo, do you have an objection to Qingyu?"

Luo Xudong seldom voiced opinions on such matters. As the task’s primary executor, whatever Fang Yushan thought, he would have to consider Luo Xudong’s views and opinions, holding even more sway than Major General Chen Jingfeng.

Luo Xudong replied leisurely, "I don’t understand Major General Chen’s implications."

Chen Jingfeng gave him a long look. If this guy didn’t want to talk, no one could force him. He planned to see if he could find out the reason later. He truly hoped the Qingyu School could get involved in this matter.

A selfish motive certainly existed, but Qingyu’s overall strength was undeniable.
