In the village, many call Beisitian "the young widow," while so call her "Little Tian’er," never using her full na, which is why Ma couldn’t recall it right away.

But once she rembered, she was even more confused, why go find her?

"Mom, butterflies... so many butterflies!"

Just as Ma made a sound, her youngest son Yang Chuan opened his eyes and, looking at the ceiling papered with newspapers, said he saw butterflies.

Ma imdiately panicked, how could he be so feverish that he’s talking nonsense!

As Yang Chuan spoke, her fifteen-year-old daughter also started mumbling, her words quick and inaudible, making no sense to Ma.

She was both anxious and frightened, worried that the fever might cause permanent damage! (*Friendly reminder: fever doesn’t actually cause brain damage~)

In her anxiety, Ma began to cry, desperately pushing Yang Wulang, but he wouldn’t budge. Only after shedding a heap of tears did she rember what Yang Wulang said earlier.

Go find Beisitian?

At this ti of night, going to soone’s house doesn’t seem right, and would it help anyway?

Yang Chuan quieted down a bit, then suddenly started singing, his words incoherent.

Ma didn’t hesitate any longer. She put on a jacket, grabbed a flashlight, and went out.

Her man never spoke nonsense, so it was best to find help first!

In Luo Er’s family’s yard, Zhuangzhuang nestled on the steps, suddenly lifted his head, and his eyes glowed eerily in the darkness, staring at the gate.

Soon, the sound of urgent knocking ca, and Zhuangzhuang stood up, his chubby body alert, barking at the gate!

Although Mrs. Qin had decent sleep, it was still lighter than others; the sudden knocking in the dead of night woke her instantly, prompting her to nudge Luo Anguo.

Though Luo Anguo sprawled on the bed, being a man, he would bolster her courage once awake.

Luo Er’s family wasn’t popular in the village; only a few interacted with them, none of whom would knock late at night. Moreover, their family’s old and young couldn’t offer much help, so no one would visit this late.

Thus, Mrs. Qin’s heart raced anxiously, unsure of the situation.

"Mom, I’ll go take a look."

Beisitian’s voice ca from outside, instantly soothing Mrs. Qin’s unease.

Luo Anguo lifted his head to peer outside, telling Mrs. Qin, "Old woman, go with her and see."

This ti, Mrs. Qin, realizing that a young girl like Beisitian could have trouble if anything happened, hurriedly put on her shoes and moved outside, almost tripping in her haste but catching the door fra to avoid a fall.

"Little Tian’er, wait for ," Mrs. Qin called out.

The dog barked, doors knocked, making Luo Er’s house slightly chaotic.

Hearing Mrs. Qin’s words and afraid she might fall, Beisitian paused, then walked with Mrs. Qin to the gate.

Usually, there was electricity at midnight because fewer people used it at that hour, so when Beisitian stepped outside, she turned on the courtyard light.

The dim light illuminated the pitch-black courtyard.

"Check through the crack to see who it is first," Mrs. Qin quickly said as she saw Beisitian approach.

Just as her voice faded, a voice ca from outside, "Sister-in-law Qin, it’s , Yang Wulang’s wife!"

Hearing Ma’s voice, Mrs. Qin was taken aback, and Beisitian, putting away the dicine powder she held, opened the door.

"Wulang’s wife, why have you co at this late hour?" Mrs. Qin pondered many ideas but couldn’t guess her motive.

Usually, their family had little interaction with Yang Wulang’s family, except during these recent disasters, leading to so contact.

Upon entering, Ma saw Beisitian and imdiately grasped her hand, "Little Tian’er, Sister-in-law needs your help this ti. Please go see my child and husband; they’re babbling due to fever!"

Mrs. Qin was startled; she had heard about Ma’s husband and children being sick, many people discussed this during the day because several families had to take people to the town’s clinic.

But how did Ma think of Beisitian?

Their family knew in detail that Beisitian could treat illnesses, but outsiders wouldn’t believe it, claiming it was fake, so no one sought her help.

At first, Mrs. Qin felt angered by this, but seeing how Beisitian wasn’t bothered, she wasn’t upset anymore either; it was even more peaceful without people coming!

Ma’s cold hands held Beisitian’s, who gently retracted her hand, saying, "Sister-in-law, don’t worry, co inside, and we’ll talk."

The three of them entered the house together, and since Luo Anguo was still lying in bed, they went to the west room.

The room was warm, and Ma sat on the kang, explaining the situation.

Upon hearing it, Mrs. Qin ca to a realization; it was the flu outbreak combined with the seasonal change. Those prone to illness with weak resistance couldn’t recover easily!

"Little Tian’er, my husband said to find you, and I didn’t know what to do; out of four, three are sick. My daughter and son are babbling nonsense. I’m terrified; what if the fever causes brain damage? They’re everything to ! Little Tian’er, you must help !" Ma said tearfully.

It’s usually n who head a household in rural areas; with Yang Wulang ill, there’s no anchor in the family.

Mrs. Qin listened proudly beside them, glad that finally, soone sought their family for help!

"Sister-in-law, wait a mont," Beisitian said, leaving the west room. Behind a half-drawn curtain, she dissolved an Xuan Talisman into water.

This Xuan Talisman was from a few days ago. When the flu began, she gave talismanic water to the family to drink, so during this outbreak, with fever and cold striking every household, theirs remained unaffected.

She filled a small porcelain jar with talismanic water, handed it to Ma, and gave instructions, "Once ho, have adults and children drink this dication, and they’ll feel better by morning."

Colds and fevers aren’t major ailnts, and her talismanic water almost eradicates them instantly. Saying it works by morning was deliberately to avoid drawing too much attention.

Ma held the porcelain jar in a daze, looking at Beisitian, questioning, "There’s no need to see the patients?"

"It’s just a fever; seeing them or not makes no difference," Beisitian replied with a smile.

Even after leaving Luo Er’s household, Ma hesitated, questioning if any doctor would administer dication without seeing patients, and it seed that the dicine was prescribed rather quickly—in under two minutes?

Not to ntion, expecting results by morning?

Receiving an IV wouldn’t improve matters this quickly; how could this young woman still feel so unreliable!

Once ho, Ma stood hesitantly by the kang. Could this dication truly be administered?

Yang Chuan had fallen into a deep sleep, while her daughter Yang Hong continued muttering; Ma bit her lip. In the end, she had no alternative. That young wife wouldn’t dare loosely prescribe dication, so she’d have them try it first.

She fed the dication from the little porcelain jar to the three, mainly because she trusted her husband, not necessarily Beisitian. Her husband was the one who instructed her to find Beisitian!
