Lu Yibei initiated a confrontation request with Ju ng.
Ju ng was a little angry, but then happily chose to confirm.
And so...
A few minutes later, Lu Yibei narrowly lost and was tied up by the vines Ju ng summoned, then thrown onto the bed.
She, on the other hand, turned her head and began searching for the core of the urban legend that Lu Yibei had secretly hidden.
After rummaging through everything but finding nothing, Ju ng stood with her hands on her hips, muttering to herself with a face full of frustration, "Where is it? That's strange, why isn't there any Spiritual Energy fluctuation at all?"
"There's none left, truly not a single one. I only hid... no, I only stored a small fraction!" Lu Yibei said miserably.
"Do you think I'd believe you? Your thoughts are quite wicked, young man!" Ju ng glanced at Lu Yibei and said, "And you even wrongly accused your Sister of stealing food? Is my image that bad in your heart?"
"I am a dignified and righteous deity, doing things that benefit the land and are glorious and upright, not the source of all evil!"
Lu Yibei, "..." Although she couldn't be called the source of all evil, she wasn't much better.
As a native-born Z Country person, Lu Yibei had a deep-seated, genetic resistance to things like being forced to sign unequal treaties and having parts of his land forcibly occupied.
Honestly, it wasn't the first ti Lu Yibei suspected that Ju ng wasn't seriously injured at all, but was deliberately clinging to him.
Look at how lively she is, eating well and sleeping soundly. Where does she look like she's severely injured? Lu Yibei thought.
While Lu Yibei was contemplating, Ju ng's attention returned to the storage cabinet. After sizing it up for a while, her gaze suddenly locked onto the cardboard box in the top compartnt of the cabinet.
"Could it be there?"
She squinted slightly at the cardboard box, lightly tapped the ground with her toes, and her whole body floated up, drifting towards the top of the storage cabinet.
Seeing Ju ng float towards the cardboard box on top of the storage cabinet, Lu Yibei's pupils suddenly contracted, and he exclaid expressionlessly, "Don't, don't touch that thing! It's not the core of the urban legend inside!"
As he spoke, he struggled, trying desperately to break free from the vines' control. However, the vines wrapped around him tightened with his struggles, digging into his flesh and making him grimace in pain.
"Hmm? Why are you suddenly so agitated? I bet there's sothing fishy in that cardboard box!" Ju ng said with a pout.
"There really isn't! Hiss—!"
"There really isn't? Then tell what's inside, and I'll believe you!"
"That box contains..." Lu Yibei hesitated, a blush appearing on her stiff face, "In short, it's not the core of the urban legend, so don't look!"
"Hmph!" Ju ng snorted lightly upon hearing this, her chin slightly raised, "Being so secretive, it's clearly not sothing proper. The more you don't let see, the more your Sister wants to see!"
As she spoke, she lightly snapped her fingers, and the air behind her twisted, rippling outwards. With a flash of erald green light, two vines extended from the void, wrapped around the cardboard box in the storage cabinet, and brought it before her.
Seeing the scene before her, Lu Yibei's face turned ashen, and the light in her eyes dimd.
It's over, it's all over! It's over... Lu Yibei kept repeating in her heart.
Ju ng leaned down and tore open the tape on the cardboard box, lifted the lid for a look. After seeing clearly what was inside, her expression changed slightly, and she quickly pressed the lid back down with both hands.
She turned to look at Lu Yibei, forcing out an awkward smile. Just as the corners of her mouth curved into their highest arc, they couldn't help but twitch.
"Well, uh... actually... don't look at your Sister like I've lived for thousands of years, but my thoughts are quite open. I don't have any discrimination against cross-dressing, so don't take it too hard."
In a big guy's ho, finding a rose-colored, lace-trimd dress, along with matching hair accessories, knee-high black socks, a detachable magic wand, and other cosplay items, usually only leads to two possibilities.
The first possibility is that those things belong to his girlfriend, and as for the second possibility... well, everyone understands.
However, Lu Yibei didn't have a girlfriend, so in Ju ng's opinion, she must be the second possibility.
"I'm not, I didn't, don't talk nonsense! That's a magical girl set I won at a convention, I just collected it, I never wore it!" Lu Yibei argued.
"Is that so?" Ju ng said, squinting at Lu Yibei while opening the cardboard box and taking out the dress that had several ripped seams, "Then this must have broken on its own, right?"
Lu Yibei, "..."
Actually, when she won that set and just brought it ho, she had planned to try it on.
However...
The magical girl set made using White Little Flower as a template was simply too small. A person like Lu Yibei, whose height was slightly above the average for teenagers, truly couldn't fit into it.
"What do you know! You keep saying you love her, but you don't even dare to wear her clothes, what kind of true love is that? I didn't want sothing like this to happen either!" Lu Yibei roared.
"I understand, I understand, I really do!" Ju ng nodded repeatedly.
As she spoke, she put on the air of an understanding Older sister, as if afraid of showing any strange expression that might hurt Lu Yibei's young mind with its unusual preferences.
"Cross-dressing isn't really a strange thing. Didn't a famous person among you humans say? The greatest, longest-lasting, and most ⊛ Nоvеlιght ⊛ (Read the full story) common art in Z Country's history is n dressing as won!"
Lu Yibei, "..." You ♦ are a peach tree, not a date tree! Why suddenly allude to Mr. Rouxun at a ti like this!?
Seeing that Lu Yibei remained silent for a long ti, Ju ng explained, "I really don't have any discriminatory thoughts towards you, really. We can still continue to be good Sisters in the future!"
Lu Yibei, "..." I'm too lazy to even bother with you! You know about a great literary figure like Mr. Rouxun, don't you know that double positives express a negative?
Lu Yibei thought, wriggling her vine-bound body like a caterpillar, trying to crawl away from Ju ng, but under the influence of the special Spiritual Energy on the vines, it was futile.
"If it really won't work..." Ju ng stared at Lu Yibei, her eyes darting around, and said helplessly, "Worst case, I'll grant you one wish, consider it compensation!"
Lu Yibei's eyes lit up upon hearing this, and she shot up from the bed, "Really! You said it!"
As she spoke, although her face was expressionless, a clear sense of joy and excitent that couldn't be hidden was palpable.
Ju ng, "??"
No, she's tied up by my vines, yet she can still sit up? How did she do it? Are human desires really that terrifying?
Ju ng thought, then said seriously, "Of course it's true, deities don't lie, and your Sister has always kept her word!"
"However, I can only grant your wish within the scope that doesn't violate my principles. Don't even think about any crooked ideas!"
"With you like this, who would even want to have crooked ideas!" Lu Yibei rolled her eyes and said.
"Hmm?" Ju ng widened her eyes.
"No, what I an is, a Miss like you, as beautiful as a flower, pure as ice and jade, unstained by the mud, and not bewitching even when washed by clear water, looking like a distant cloud in the sky, and like a goddess descending to the mortal world up close, would only inspire thoughts of admiration, absolutely no thought of defilent!" Lu Yibei said solemnly.
"Oh, you!" Ju ng covered her slightly flushed cheeks and waved her hand at Lu Yibei, saying, "Although everything you said is true, I'm not *that* good, really!"
Holy crap! She actually accepted such a long string of flattery so readily? This Slly Girl's skin is truly not just ordinarily thick!
But go ahead and be happy for a while! Later, you'll get what's coming to you. Just you wait, I'll drain you dry! Lu Yibei looked at Ju ng, dark thoughts gradually surfacing in her mind.
"Oh, right, what's your wish? You haven't told yet!"
"Ah! Right, the wish..." Lu Yibei withdrew her thoughts and nodded, saying, "My wish is very simple, I just want to ask you to help make a little bit of the First Light Spring Wind Curse."
"That's it? I thought it was sothing else!" Ju ng curled her lip in disdain, "Okay! I agree!"
Having a deity create talismans for people to pray to Her, isn't that easier than eating and drinking?
Slly Girl, you missed a great opportunity! Wealth, fa, power, everything n dream of, what's wrong with choosing those? Ju ng thought.
"So, how many are you planning to make?"
Lu Yibei roughly calculated the amount of remaining materials, the raw materials saved by reducing thickness, losses during the production process, and other issues, arriving at a conclusion, "About one hundred and eighty pieces?"
Actually, without any loss, it should be possible to make around two hundred pieces. Lu Yibei added in her mind.
Almost at the sa mont Lu Yibei's words fell, Ju ng's expression changed drastically, and she blurted out, "My heavens! What do you want to do with so many talismans? Blow up so enemy's ancestral grave?"
"I wouldn't do sothing like making soone's ancestral grave smoke! Just tell if you'll do it or not? You just kept saying that deities don't lie!" Lu Yibei looked at Ju ng with a look of disdain.
"Oh dear, everyone co and see! The deity lied, is she going to fall?"
"Shut up! Since I promised you, I won't go back on my word!" Ju ng glared fiercely at Lu Yibei, gritting her teeth, "It's just over a hundred talismans, isn't it? I'll make them!"
It'll only use up the Spiritual Energy I've accumulated for a month! I don't feel bad at all! I am a generous deity! Ju ng thought, clutching her chest.
...
Lu Yibei pressured Ju ng downstairs and began the work of making the First Light Spring Wind Curse. The second floor of the apartnt building once again returned to quiet.
Before long, amidst this quiet, a rustling sound could be heard. The Coat that Lu Yibei had thrown onto the bed stood up on its own, floated to the cardboard box containing the magical girl set, and draped itself over the edge of the box, inserting half its body and wriggling around inside for a while.
The next mont, a dazzling brilliance suddenly appeared on its body, as if a rainbow had lted into water and been spilled. The colors constantly rged and changed, and after a few breaths, it transford into a long dress almost identical to the one in the box.
It seems Devil Woman really likes this dress. I've fixed it for her this way, she'll definitely be happy, right? I'm so great, heehee! the Coat thought.
