---

Then... nothing. No second cry. No battle chant. Just a soft rumble of thunder in the clouds above.

Shadeclaw’s eyes narrowed. He crouched low beside a spire of glassy stone, his claws flexing on the edge. "Soone couldn’t keep calm."

Kai didn’t flinch. His voice was quiet and iron flat. "Let the impatient bleed."

Behind him, Skyweaver’s wing sensors gave a pulse of silent acknowledgnt. Tunnel Crown didn’t even turn his head. Heart Mason continued sealing a flask. Iron Rampant raised one ear slightly but said nothing.

The silver essence motes kept falling. Light drifted like stardust across their camp. Miryam shifted in her nest and purred softly. She was content and untouched by violence.

And the squad, one by one, adjusted the angle of their focus, not to panic, but to prepare. Because chaos had arrived early. And Alpha Dawn would et it on their terms.

That night, Kai drifted between shallow sleep and deep visions. His body finally at rest after that heated mont with Luna, but his soul still stirred by the weight of purpose. Sothing he is unaware of, sothing that could change his everything.

At first, it was only quiet. A silence deeper than caves, colder than forgotten stone. He floated in it. Not swimming. Not falling. Just suspended in that in-between where dreams beco sothing else.

Then the world took shape.

He stood barefoot on an endless desert of black sand, its grains shifted like liquid shadow beneath his feet. Each step he took sent ripples across the surface, as if the desert itself rembered his movent.

The sky above him was an abyss. No stars. No moon. Just a do of darkness that didn’t end.

Then ca the crowns. They didn’t float. They lood. Three forms of power. Three thrones made manifest.

The Void Mandible-A chitin black jaw, hovering with stillness so complete it scread. No voice. No sound. Just silence that crushed thought like stone on eggshells. Kai could feel its pull, a cold, calm hunger, like the end of all noise.

The Titan Plate-A sphere of red iron plates, grinding slowly, layer upon layer like tectonic bone. Each click of tal sent tremors through his chest. Its aura was raw pressure, which was burdened with strength. Sacrifice turned into shield. It was the weight of kingdoms borne alone.

The Crimson Crown-It felt Alive. That was the only word for it. Forged of ruby light, it shimred with threads of tiny flickering veins that branched endlessly. Every flicker was a choice. Every point was a heartbeat. This crown didn’t sit. It breathed.

Kai’s hand moved without aning to. He reached for the third. The Crimson Crown. And when his fingers touched its light, everything shattered.

Not pain. Not fear. Sight.

Visions poured through his mind like a flood bursting through ancient gates.

Miryam, no longer a hatchling, but a giant desert wyrm. Wings like folded galaxies, breath trailing rivers of molten fire sand across a battlefield.

Luna, older, hardened. Her body wrapped in moonsteel armor, her eyes filled with the steel of command. Her presence was like a blade drawn beneath the stars, beautiful and deadly.

Beneath them, a city. Not human. Not a beast. A fusion. Hybrid races ruled under golden banners that bore Kai’s monarch mark and the Devourer Sigil. Their cheers rose in mory of conquest. And mourning.

Behind it all was sothing darker. A colossal guardian, larger than any beast Kai had seen, its shape ever shifting, built from countless souls, their voices still screaming, faces flickering like fireflies trapped in glass. Its form was barely held together by pain and mory.

A war torn future. A kingdom of victory. A shadow that would devour it all.

Then silence.

Then nothing.

Kai gasped awake, skin slick with sweat.

His breath stuttered. The quiet of the tent returned, dripping stone and low winds.

Kai sat up fully now, the silence of the alcove pressing in like a second skin. Luna stirred beside him, shifting gently beneath the furs but didn’t wake.

Miryam stirred in her sling across his chest. Her tiny head shifted just enough to brush his chin. Her eyes flickered open, faint gold glowing behind sleepy lids.

Through the soul link, her thought brushed his mind like silk:

Then she fell back asleep. Kai lay there, eyes open in the dark, too wired to move.

Choose.

But what had he just seen? A vision? A prophecy? Or just a dream, ford by stress and ambition pressing too hard on his bones?

He turned the images over in his mind. The crowns... they hadn’t been symbols. They had been paths.

He whispered low, under his breath. "System, what was that dream? What’s going on? Can you find out? Why did she ask to choose, as soon as I wake up?"

There was a pulse, a faint flicker behind his eyes. Then the familiar neutral tone humd to life:

[System Online. Command recognized: ’Interpret Dream Sequence.’

Processing mory fragnts...

Analyzing emotional resonance...

Cross referencing aura pattern with bonded companion Miryam...]

A pause. Longer than usual. That made Kai frown.

Then—

[Conclusion: This dreamscape was not generated internally. The projected sequence bore shared psychic resonance with bonded wyrmling Miryam.]

Kai’s jaw tightened. "She gave it to ," he said aloud.

[Affirmative. Miryam’s presence was linked to the vision via soul thread connection.]

"Why? How?" Kai demanded quietly. "Is this... her power? So kind of future sight?"

Another pause. Then the system replied, slower this ti, almost uncertain:

[Miryam exhibits no active ability currently labeled as "Prophetic Sight" or "Temporal Vision." However... resonance data suggests latent potential. This trait may be embryonic, unawakened, or—

—inherited from a source outside standard genetic profiling.]

Kai exhaled. He glanced down at the little wyrmling. She was still sleeping, her tail curled under her chin now, glowing faintly with amber light.

The system continued:

[Dream Interpretation Summary:

The Void Mandible represents a path of pure consumption. To beco the cold, silent emperor. Unstoppable. Unrciful. Alone.

The Titan Plate is the route of burdens carried. Of pain forged into protection. A ruler who bears the scars of every soul he shelters. No glory. Only endurance.

The Crimson Crown... the most dangerous of all. The crown of threads. Of family. Bonds. Loyalty. Growth through trust, through love but also the path with the greatest risk. Every thread can be snapped. Every bond twisted. Power shared is power that can betray.]

Kai listened, silent. That last one, he had reached for it. Not out of strategy. Not out of ambition. But...

Out of instinct.
