Now reading: Chapter 889 - 332: Cat Lady’s Verbal Lesson! Busted Again! from I Became the Devil Queen's Heart Demon, a Eastern novel by Golden autumn rain falls.

Yu Hongyin and Qiao Tong stared blankly at the scene.

Just a mont ago, everything was fine. Why did it suddenly catch fire?

It wasn’t until the flas leapt up, climbing the bedpost, that they snapped out of it, hurriedly putting out the fire.

However, Chen Mo’s body temperature remained scorching hot, and his breath carried a heatwave, seeming as if it could ignite again at any mont.

Yu Hongyin placed her finger on Chen Mo’s forehead, channeling a strand of Primordial Qi over.

Carefully sensing, she found that his Divine Soul was stable, with nothing abnormal, instead, there was a trendously strong energy coursing through his ridians, seemingly transforming his body, with his aura constantly rising.

Attempting to probe further, she found the energy too domineering, extinguishing the Primordial Qi in an instant.

"It looks like it might be a good thing?" Yu Hongyin breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Holy Daughter, what should we do now?" Qiao Tong asked, "Should we send Mr. Chen back to the mansion?"

"We better wait until the situation stabilizes. We can’t just parade around with a naked man," Yu Hongyin shook her head, "Besides, suddenly showing up might not be appropriate. What if his family misunderstands..."

I think you’re the one misunderstanding, aren’t you?

Qiao Tong muttered inwardly but didn’t point out Yu Hongyin’s thoughts, "So, what does the Holy Daughter suggest..."

"Let’s protect him first, and we’ll talk once he wakes up," Yu Hongyin scanned the surroundings, musing, "Clearly, this place isn’t fit for occupancy, and placing him in another room isn’t safe... how about taking him to the bathroom?"

"The bathroom?"

Qiao Tong was montarily stunned, but then understood Yu Hongyin’s intentions.

Putting him in water ans that even if the temperature rises, the worst is boiling the water, without causing further fires, making it a pretty good idea.

"Let’s get his clothes off first..."

Chen Mo’s clothes were already charred and ragged, clinging tightly to his skin.

Cautiously, they removed the fabric, stripping off the underwear, revealing a robust, towering physique.

On his body were intricate totems, blood-red in color, with a faint tiger pattern erging on his chest, vividly lifelike, exuding a powerful sense of oppression.

As Qiao Tong took off the trousers, he gasped, stamring, "Oh no, Holy Daughter, there’s a, there’s a demon!"

Yu Hongyin frowned, "What nonsense, this is the Capital City, where would demons..."

Looking down, her expression froze, her entire being like a sculpture, immobile.

"I heard in the desolate mountains of the North, there’s a kind of demon creature called ’Si’, covered in black fur, with a single horn, extrely savage in temperant," Qiao Tong gulped, cautiously, "Could Mr. Chen be possessed by that demon?"

"..."

Yu Hongyin’s cheeks flushed, retorting, "The horn also grows on the head, how could it grow down there? It’s probably just excessive Qi-Blood... cough, cough, alright, let’s move him over quickly."

Forcing herself to stay calm, she waved out a strand of Primordial Qi, lifting Chen Mo, briskly exiting the room.

They maneuvered through the verandah, reaching the backyard, and pushed the door into the bathroom.

The entire bath was constructed with bricks and stones, not overly large, yet capable of accommodating three people bathing together, already filled with fresh water beforehand.

Gently, Yu Hongyin placed Chen Mo into the water.

Sizzle——

Like quenching in water, a sharp sound echoed, accompanied by the splattering "crackle" of steam, white mist rising in billowing waves, soon enveloping the entire room in a fog.

"The body temperature keeps rising. Could he beco a fool?"

Yu Hongyin frowned, her fingers forming a spell, murmuring, "Xuanming Decree, align with the North, still all things, Nine Orifices Frost..."

Yin Yang Qi dispersed, instantly lowering the temperature in the room, forming a layer of frost on the water surface.

Yet even so, the ice near Chen Mo continued to lt rapidly, the water level visibly declining, he was like a never-extinguishing furnace, molten lava flowing within.

"At this rate, it’ll dry up soon. Go fetch more water, just in case," Yu Hongyin directed, while using Primordial Qi to cool Chen Mo’s body.

"Yes." Qiao Tong acknowledged, leaving promptly.

For days, aiding the wounded in the Southern outskirts, Yu Hongyin had already consud much of her energy, with barely any Primordial Qi remaining, now relying on absorbing Spiritual Marrow to persist.

Only after depleting the third piece of Spiritual Marrow, with her ridians nearing their limit, did Chen Mo’s state finally stabilize; though his temperature remained high, it was no longer as terrifying as before.

"Phew——"

Yu Hongyin gasped for breath, her heaving chest rising and falling, visibly exhausted.

Her clothes were soaking wet, clinging to her body, outlining her graceful, curvy figure.

Chen Mo leaned against the edge of the pool, the water level having dropped below his waist, with sanguine lines spreading over his skin, as if an invisible hand were sketching them, linking the breaks, making the pattern more complete than before.

It appeared to resemble the outline of so fierce beast, or perhaps so lost ancient talisman.

"What exactly is this?"

Regaining her breath, Yu Hongyin curiously reached out to touch the red lines.

Instantly, a wild primal aura surged into her Sea of Consciousness, and she inwardly exclaid "Not good," unable to react as darkness overca her vision, losing consciousness completely.

Yu Hongyin’s body swayed, about to fall, when several strands of black hair coiled around, supporting her steadily.

A beautifully exquisite woman walked over gracefully, untouched by any garnt, with black hair cascading like a waterfall, accentuating her pale skin, moving with long legs to draw near.

Tilting her head, she scrutinized Chen Mo, then gazed at the equally unconscious Yu Hongyin.
