I Became the Eye Candy: Four Bigshots Claimed to be My Dad? Chapter 118: How Did She Become a Martial Grandmother?
Qian Fanji watched impassively as the small figures grew ever more distant. The corner of his brow twitched slightly. ’Zhu Ye has never liked being around people, especially girls. How could he have gotten so close to that child in just half a day?’
’Could this be the pull of blood ties?’
Ye Qianning didn’t want to spend any more ti with Qian Fanji. She was also afraid the brainless Qian Zhuye would blurt out sothing foolish, which was why she had turned to leave.
"You were nearly killed just now." Sang Zhi blocked her path.
"I know."
"And you still provoked him?"
"Provoke? Was anything I said wrong?" Ye Qianning asked.
"You made a lot of sense, but sotis, you can’t be so blunt."
"Are you telling to lie?"
"Of course not." Sang Zhi imdiately shook his head.
Ye Qianning tilted her head, her expression puzzled.
"I’m not asking you to lie. You’re still too young; there are many things you don’t understand. From now on, you must stay far, far away from my Seventh Brother whenever you see him, do you understand?" Sang Zhi suspected she wouldn’t understand even if he explained.
"No way! When I get back, I’ll have my daddy teach how to wield a greatsword. Then we’ll see who dares to throw around again!" Ye Qianning planted her small hands on her hips, her cheeks puffed out in indignation.
Sang Zhi’s brows knitted together tightly.
"If you’re learning to wield a greatsword, Miss Xiang, count in!" Qian Zhuye had caught up to them again.
...
’This kid is relentless.’
"He’s a Prince. If you harm him, you, your father, and even the entire Xiang family could be killed. If you truly want what’s best for your father, you should stop coming to class. Besides, you’re too young. You won’t understand the instructor’s complex lectures anyway," Sang Zhi explained patiently.
"So what if he’s a Prince?"
’If things get bad, I’ll just secretly poison him to death later. That’ll solve the problem.’
Qian Zhuye chid in admiringly, "You’ve got real guts, Miss Xiang."
"Hey, you—!" Sang Zhi had never t such an impossible child.
"Okay, okay, I get it. Let’s not talk about him anymore. Look, it’s already lunchti. Why don’t we go eat?" Ye Qianning stepped forward and tugged on his arm.
Sang Zhi let her pull him along, feeling both resigned and worried. ’Seventh Brother will absolutely not let this go.’
"Hey, take with you!" And so, Qian Zhuye began his pursuit.
The academy’s dining hall was rather far away. Ye Qianning had been dragging Sang Zhi along for over ten minutes, and they were just about to arrive when a young man blocked their path.
"Martial Grandma, the Dean sent to invite you to lunch." The young man bowed, then looked up and spoke.
Martial Grandma?
Ye Qianning was speechless.
’How did I beco a Martial Grandma?’
Sang Zhi was speechless.
’Martial Grandma? How is that even proper?’
Qian Zhuye was speechless.
’Am I hearing things?’
"Martial Grandma? Shall I carry you there?" the young man asked again when he saw Ye Qianning remain silent.
"Ahem... No, that’s alright. I’m going to the dining hall with them," Ye Qianning said, a bit embarrassed. "And please, don’t call Martial Grandma."
"But according to seniority, that is what I should call you."
"Seniority this, seniority that—don’t worry about it. Just call Ye Qianning."
"Absolutely not. Propriety cannot be abandoned."
"You’re making sound old by calling that. I’m only six!" ’Even "Grand-aunt" would be better than "Martial Grandma"...’
"You are the Dean’s own Direct Disciple. You’ve perford the acceptance ceremony and drunk the disciple’s tea. Based on seniority, I must call you Martial Grandma," the young man insisted.
Ye Qianning sighed in resignation. The young man was perfectly nice, just incredibly stubborn.
A complex series of emotions flickered across Sang Zhi’s face. ’The Dean took this little pudgeball as his Direct Disciple?’
Qian Zhuye was shocked and puzzled, but more than anything, a look of understanding dawned on his face.
’No wonder Miss Xiang was so brazen from the mont she enrolled. She’s Dean Chen’s Direct Disciple.’
’And that "Senior Sister" from Instructor Zhang earlier... that was ant for her, wasn’t it?’
