Ye Qianning paused mid-bite of her pastry and looked up with a smile. "Why are you thanking ? It’s all thanks to Fourth Granny’s superb dical skills."

Princess Changyang took out a handkerchief and wiped the pastry crumbs from the corner of her mouth, then gently tapped the tip of her nose. "Don’t think I don’t know. You’re the one who cured Xiang’er’s rash, aren’t you?"

Ye Qianning was a little surprised. She’d been found out.

"After spending these past few days with you, I started to recall what happened during the diagnosis," Princess Changyang said slowly. "Fourth Granny was just following your lead. Ye Qianning secretly watched her expression. Seeing a flicker of suspicion, she quickly added, "Princess Consort, could you please help us get the Jade Pendant back? It’s okay if we can’t find my father, but that Jade Pendant is a final nto from my mother. I can’t lose it."

"I’ll have soone go to the authorities and inquire at once. If this is true, I will certainly see this through for you and get the Jade Pendant back." Princess Changyang then turned to her handmaiden. "Go, have the steward make a trip. He must demand an explanation from the authorities."
