"This..." The other Imperial Physicians looked at each other, unsure how to respond.

"Miss Xiang, the poison can be cured, but we can’t seem to determine the correct dosage. The old Prince’s body cannot tolerate certain dications." Imperial Physician Song had watched Ye Qianning perform acupuncture and held a great deal of admiration for the young girl, so he spoke frankly.

Imperial Physician Song’s words imdiately drew the ire of the other Imperial Physicians. ’Wasn’t he basically calling them incompetent?’

"It won’t be fatal. Using it will still leave him with half a life. There’s no choice to be made." Qian Ning knew the old Prince’s condition. The antidote was essential; any less would be a death sentence.

"Yes, yes, of course," Imperial Physician Song agreed, nodding repeatedly.

The other Imperial Physicians remained silent. Having served in the Imperial Palace, they were accustod to such matters. As long as they weren’t implicated, there was no need to wade into murky waters.

Prince Helian had long been dissatisfied with the Imperial Physicians. Now, after hearing this exchange, his opinion of the entire Imperial dical staff soured even further.

Xiang Minghou just snorted coldly. ’Shoving the responsibility onto his daughter... So Imperial Physicians they are.’

Ye Qianning picked up a writing brush and wrote out a prescription. As a student of dicine, she couldn’t stand to see such calculating and self-serving healers.

"Little girl, what is this you’re writing?" Prince Helian stared for a long ti but couldn’t recognize a single character.

Ye Qianning’s hand, holding the brush, froze. ’I forgot,’ she realized. ’They use traditional characters in this era!’

"My... handwriting is a little ugly. Father, I’ll dictate, and you can write it down," she said, looking up with an awkward smile. She silently crumpled the prescription into a ball and clutched it in her small hand.

"Alright."

Xiang Minghou picked up the brush.

Once the prescription was written, several of the Imperial Physicians ca forward to look at it, their hearts filled with astonishnt.

The prescription was remarkably precise, far beyond what they could have imagined. Even they couldn’t have formulated sothing so exact.

"Take this dicine for three consecutive days, and the old Prince’s poison will be completely purged," Ye Qianning said.

"Excellent. I will have soone prepare the dicine at once," Prince Helian said, not daring to delay.

The dicine was brewed and decocted. By the ti it was administered to the old Prince, it was already evening. The potion did indeed have a harsh effect on him; as soon as he took it, his body began to convulse uncontrollably.

To better observe the old Prince’s condition, Xiang Minghou and Ye Qianning temporarily stayed at the Helian Royal Mansion that night.

During the night, the old Prince’s convulsions grew so severe that he nearly passed out several tis.

Ye Qianning retrieved the Two Qi Fruit from her spatial storage, cut off a small piece, and crushed it. She had a servant girl administer it to the old Prince, and his convulsions ceased imdiately. The effect was incredibly swift.

By the next day, the poison in the old Prince’s system was cleared. He was even able to get out of bed. The speed of his recovery was astonishing, and leads on the poisoning case were also beginning to surface.

The Helian Royal Mansion gave a three-day deadline to capture the culprit and personally bring them, bound, to the General’s Residence to atone for their cri.

It wasn’t until the afternoon of the second day that Xiang Minghou brought Ye Qianning back to the General’s Residence. Before they even stepped inside, they both sensed sothing was wrong.

"The General’s back! The General’s back!" a young servant shouted, spotting them and imdiately running inside.

Ye Qianning and Xiang Minghou exchanged a confused glance.

"Oh, General..."

"General, if anything had happened to you, we couldn’t have gone on living!"

A group of seven or eight won, led by one Madam Liu, ca rushing over in tears.

"What is all this?" Xiang Minghou asked, bewildered.

"Yesterday, the rumor was that you had poisoned the old Prince and been taken to the authorities! We thought we would never see you again!" one of the concubines cried with genuine-looking sorrow.

"General, you and Pangtuan are back... Does this an everything is alright?" Madam Liu asked, wiping her tears.

"There was nothing wrong in the first place," Xiang Minghou said, holding the child as he squeezed his way out of the crowd of won.
