“Then what do you think? Would soone like be your Master’s type?”

The mont Liu Yue asked the question, a flicker of delight surfaced in Wang Haoran’s eyes. He grinned and teased, “So that’s what all the questions were for, Professor Liu? You’re trying to beco my Master’s future wife?”

Liu Yue flushed, both embarrassed and annoyed, but she couldn’t quite deny it either. Swallowing down her shyness, she straightened her expression and said with a sharp tone, “Just answer the question.”

Wang Haoran chuckled and replied in a more serious tone, “When it cos to looks, Professor Liu, you’re absolutely flawless. A total goddess. The only thing is… you’ve got a sharp tongue. You like to roast people a bit, and that might not be sothing my Master appreciates.”

Her expression darkened at once. “That’s sothing I can change,” she said briskly.

Wang Haoran nodded. “If that’s the case, then there’s no problem.”

Liu Yue leaned in slightly, intrigued. “So… what does your Master look like?”

He couldn’t help boasting a little as he said, “Handso. Crazy handso. Of all the n I’ve t, not a single one is better looking than him.”

Liu Yue’s eyes lit up with a trace of delight.

Truthfully, she’d never cared much about what the “Peerless Stock God” looked like. What drew her in was his brilliance—his poise, his talent, his extraordinary capabilities. In her eyes, a man like that didn’t need good looks to be desirable. But if he happened to be handso on top of all that? Well, that was simply a bonus.

Wang Haoran saw the look on her face and nudged her further. “If you like him so much, Professor Liu, then go confess to him already.”

She frowned slightly. “I’m the woman. Why should I be the one to confess?”

He shrugged. “Suit yourself. But then it’s never gonna happen. My Master doesn’t chase won. He’s always the one being chased.”

Liu Yue fell into hesitation, biting her lip in silence. After a pause, she said, “I’ll send you a few photos. Show them to your Master and see how he reacts. Then tell what he thinks of .”

“Sure,” Wang Haoran nodded.

Liu Yue carefully selected a batch of flattering everyday photos—elegant, casual, charming—and sent them over to him. “Help pass these along.”

Wang Haoran received the images, pretended to look solemn about it, and stepped out to make a phone call. Roughly five minutes later, he returned.

For Liu Yue, those few minutes dragged on like hours.

She jumped to her feet as soon as he walked back in. “Did your Master see the photos? What did he say?”

“He seed satisfied,” Wang Haoran replied.

Liu Yue exhaled a long breath and, unable to hide her excitent, pressed further, “So… did he say he’s interested in pursuing ?”

Wang Haoran shook his head. “Professor Liu, like I said, my Master doesn’t chase won.”

Liu Yue wilted a little at that, her expression dimming.

“But,” Wang Haoran added quickly, “from the way he spoke, I’d say he’s very pleased. If you confess, he’ll definitely say yes.”

Liu Yue lowered her eyes in contemplation, falling silent.

Sensing that she needed space, Wang Haoran quietly took his leave.

Roughly an hour later, Liu Yue reposted the “Peerless Stock God’s” viral guitar serenade on her own Weibo.

The original caption of his post read: “I’ve played this song a hundred tis. When will I finally sing it for the one?”

Liu Yue added her own ssage when she shared it: “Aren’t you singing it for right now?”

Liu Yue was nothing if not clever. The way she frad her post—half a joke, half a confession—gave her just enough room to retreat if things went south. If he responded with warmth, that was all the answer she needed. If he didn’t… she could play it off with a smile, just as she had every ti she’d teasingly called him “husband” in the past.

Wang Haoran saw her post and quickly reposted it himself, writing simply: “So… do you like the song?”

She imdiately replied again: “Mm. It’s beautiful. I love it.”

So the exchange went:

Peerless Stock God: I’ve played this song a hundred tis. But when will I finally sing it for the one?

Liu Yue: Aren’t you singing it for right now?

Peerless Stock God: So… do you like the song?

Liu Yue: Mm. It’s beautiful. I love it.

The chain of responses left no room for ambiguity—it was an official announcent.

Liu Yue had long been a major figure on Weibo, with a massive follower count. And the Peerless Stock God had recently beco a viral sensation in his own right. The sudden revelation of a romantic connection between the two instantly sent shockwaves through the platform.

By the next morning, the topic had rocketed to the top of Weibo’s trending list, knocking even celebrity gossip out of first place. Major dia outlets ran coverage, fanning the flas further.

The following morning…

It was a non-trading day, so Liu Yue had allowed herself to sleep in. But not for long—Qiu Qianwei burst into her room with a tablet in hand, shaking her awake.

“Fifth Sister, are you seriously dating soone?” she asked directly.

Liu Yue rubbed her eyes, a little embarrassed but smiling. “Yeah… I guess you could say it started last night.”

Qiu Qianwei narrowed her eyes. “And what does he look like?”

“That… I don’t actually know yet,” Liu Yue admitted, a bit sheepish.

“What?” Qiu Qianwei gaped. “You haven’t even seen him, and you’re calling it a relationship? What if he turns out to be ugly?”

Liu Yue puffed up proudly. “I haven’t seen him in person, true—but I’ve got it on good authority that he’s ridiculously handso. Nobody can compare.”

Qiu Qianwei pouted. “Hmph. I bet my boyfriend’s better looking.”

Liu Yue stretched out a hand with a grin. “Oh? Then show a picture.”

Caught off guard, Qiu Qianwei laughed. “Nah, no pictures. I’ll bring him to et you in person next ti.”

“Deal. When the ti cos, let’s all bring our boyfriends. A proper face-off.”

With that, the two sisters laughed together and Liu Yue went back to sleep. She’d barely rested the night before, too giddy to close her eyes. She needed to catch up before her afternoon class.

She slept straight through to noon.

After getting up and freshening up, she took extra care getting dressed and left for campus looking radiant.

Inside a lecture hall of the finance departnt, the students were already seated.

Everyone had arrived early out of fear of Liu Yue’s strict reputation—everyone except Wang Haoran, who enjoyed a few special privileges.

He wandered in and found a seat next to Lin Chen, plopping down with a grin.

“Lin Chen, my boy, congratulations. You’ve just gained yourself a brother-in-law.”

The boy’s little face stiffened. He glared at Wang Haoran from the corner of his eye.

With all the noise online, Lin Chen had of course seen the news. But without hearing confirmation from Fifth Sister Liu Yue herself, he still clung to a sliver of hope.

“Big Bro,” he said, frowning, “you’re an adult. You should be able to judge things for yourself. Don’t go believing everything you read on the internet.”

Wang Haoran just chuckled softly.

You don’t believe it now?

No worries. You’ll believe it soon enough.
