Chapter 305: Little Chick: I’m Super Slick with Luna

The girl in the first pick slot had the ID “Mu Ran”—and Wang Haoran recognized it instantly as Xu Muyan’s in-ga na.

The “Mu” ca from Xu Muyan’s surna, and the “Ran” was taken from his own. A na stitched together, her heart etched into each syllable.

Wang Haoran couldn’t help but smile when he saw it. He knew exactly what it ant. Even sothing as simple as a ga ID, she had filled with affection.

After Xu Muyan saw the ssage from her teammate “Little Chick,” she didn’t respond. She wasn’t like Qin Yunhan; she was quiet and reserved around strangers, with few words to spare. Unless it was sothing relevant to the match, she usually wouldn’t say a thing.

“She’s ignoring …” Xiao Ye sighed softly, a touch of disappointnt fluttering through his chest—but the thrill in his heart hadn’t faded.

His PUBG stream hadn’t hit the numbers he’d hoped for, but he had still gained so popularity—enough, in fact, to raise his Honor of Kings skill level straight to the peak of the professional world rankings.

After getting repeatedly blown up in PUBG, his confidence had taken a few hits. So he figured: ti for a change of pace. Ti to reset his ntality with a different high-traffic ga.

He stuck to his usual strategy—find the hottest female strear and join her match.

In the Honor of Kings category on Douyin, the current queen was this beauty nad “Mu Ran.” Without hesitation, Xiao Ye zeroed in on her live stream.

But unlike the “The Eldest Miss Has Arrived” strear, whose gaplay was a chaotic ss, Mu Ran actually had serious skills. She was already nearing 100 stars in Mythic Rank—one of the highest echelons of play.

Xiao Ye’s own account was low-level garbage, so he did what any self-respecting scher would do: bought a high-star smurf account online and used a rena card to change it to “Little Chick.”

Once everything was ready, he caught Mu Ran queuing up for a match. Without missing a beat, he hit match as well. Luck—or fate—slotted him right onto her team.

He greeted her, playing dumb as usual.

Too bad she didn’t respond.

But Xiao Ye didn’t take it to heart. He figured, once he showed her his god-tier Luna skills, she’d definitely be blown away. She’d shower him with praise, maybe even drop a few “six-six-sixes” in chat.

Soon, all the heroes were locked in. The ga loaded into the King’s Canyon battlefield.

Xu Muyan picked a mid-lane mage—Shangguan Wan’er. The match began, and her character moved out of the base. A second later, her everyday phone buzzed on the desk beside her.

Normally, she never picked up calls during her streams. But when she saw who was calling, a soft smile blood across her face as she answered without hesitation.

“What, you got tired of watching Yunhan’s stream and suddenly rembered I exist?” she teased. Her tone was light, but the jealousy in her voice wasn’t hard to hear.

“Of course not. I was thinking about you and wanted to hear your voice.” Wang Haoran knew exactly what she was upset about. He’d been showering Qin Yunhan’s stream with gifts earlier, and Xu Muyan had definitely seen it.

Now it was ti to make it up to her.

“I’m streaming right now, I don’t have ti for this,” she huffed.

“Alright, then I’ll hang up. Don’t want to interrupt your precious livestream,” he said, playing along.

“No, wait! I’m just kidding! The stream’s important, sure—but you’re more important.” Her voice brightened instantly. “I can stream and talk to you at the sa ti.”

Since she used one phone for streaming and another for her personal stuff, it didn’t interfere. She muted her stream’s mic, so no one could hear a thing. With that done, she could say whatever she wanted without worrying.

“Didn’t I tell you a while back I’d start practicing Honor of Kings so we could duo? I’ve been training, and I think I’m ready. Co queue with ,” Wang Haoran said, easing into his actual goal.

“Alright, I’ll quit this ga right now so we can team up.” She was afraid he’d lose interest if she made him wait.

“Don’t do that. You’ll lose credit points if you AFK mid-ga. And you’re streaming—if you randomly quit, your viewers might not take it well. Just throw the match instead. Lose fast and get it over with,” he replied.

“Makes sense.” Xu Muyan smiled and agreed.

By now, the match had already begun. The minions t at midlane. Xu Muyan’s character last-hit a few of them casually, then headed toward the blue buff camp.

She typed out a ssage: “Give this blue,” addressing it to the team’s jungler—Luna.

The Luna? That was Xiao Ye, aka “Little Chick.”

Seeing her ssage, he hesitated. Then typed: “Missy, Luna needs blue to function. Without it, I’m useless. How about you let keep it?”

Xu Muyan replied, “Didn’t you say you were a total noob? Why’d you pick such a high-skill champ like Luna then? What good is blue buff gonna do you?”

Xiao Ye had no coback.

Damn. He regretted pretending to be bad at the start.

Shangguan Wan’er, the hero she picked, could use blue too—it made sense to ask for it. Especially if she thought he was so clueless rookie.

Problem was, Luna couldn’t jungle properly without that first blue. Without it, his early clear would be too slow, and he’d be dead weight.

So he quickly changed his tune. “I was joking earlier. Actually, I’m really good. My Luna’s cracked.”

“Alright, I’ll let you have it,” Xu Muyan typed back.

“Thanks, Missy!” Xiao Ye was thrilled. He rushed to take the blue, eager to gain tempo, snowball the ga, and show off for her.

But just as he started the fight… sothing happened that left him completely dumbfounded.

Shangguan Wan’er swooped in, used her abilities, and stole the blue buff.

Xiao Ye froze.

“Missy… didn’t you say you’d let have it?”

“Slipped,” Xu Muyan replied simply, then jogged off to lane.

There was no way Xiao Ye believed that.

Soone with her level of skill didn’t just “slip.” She clearly didn’t trust him and had taken the buff for herself on purpose.

Frustrated, Xiao Ye threw out a preemptive excuse: “Missy, if you’d given blue like we agreed, this would’ve been an easy win. Now I’ve got no blue, my Luna’s crippled. Don’t bla if we lose.”

Xu Muyan didn’t respond.

But their other three teammates? They couldn’t hold back any longer.

Galo: “You little troll, you wouldn’t shut up during champ select—first acting all noob, then suddenly pretending you’re pro. You’re an idiot.”

Yao: “You think you deserve blue? What a joke. If I played soone who needed it, I’d have taken it from you too.”

Zhang Fei: “I swear, if I could grab my big blade and reach through the net, I’d chop you down where you sit. Don’t know how to play? Pick a support, you trash! Who the hell takes Luna?!”

【Ding. Host’s interference causes ntal damage to protagonist Ye Qiu. Gained 500 Villain Points.】

Getting flad by three teammates, Xiao Ye was furious—but he didn’t fight back. He said nothing and just focused on farming jungle creeps.

He’d prove them wrong with his gaplay.

He cleared the blue side quickly, then moved toward the red camp.

But when he arrived…

The red buff was already gone.
