Chapter 324: Sophomore Campus Belle

“You’ve already helped too much,” Fang Xuan said, shaking her head resolutely. “I can’t keep accepting favors from you.”

But Wang Haoran wouldn’t budge. “That house you’re living in—it’s rundown and far from everything. It hurts to see you staying in a place like that. Listen to , just move. It’ll be better for you. And besides…” He paused, his tone softening with intent. “If you lived sowhere closer, it’d be easier for us to see each other.”

This female lead wasn’t ordinary; her background was clearly more complicated than it shows. Building a solid relationship early on was necessary, and Wang Haoran knew how to be attentive when it counted.

Fang Xuan initially stayed firm in her decision. But when he added that last line about seeing each other more conveniently, her expression faltered. Temptation crept in.

“I guess I’ll be working at your mom’s company for life, then,” she murmured, laughing awkwardly at her own helplessness. “I don’t have anything else to offer. This is all I can do to repay you.”

“Don’t be silly.” Wang Haoran’s gaze turned aningful. “Maybe one day you’ll be the successful one. And then you won’t be working as my mom’s secretary anymore.”

“I know exactly what I’m capable of,” Fang Xuan said with a quiet laugh. But then, her face flushed a gentle crimson. “And even if I did make it big… I’d still be your woman. I’d still be soone willing to do anything for you.”

Wang Haoran felt a warmth settle in his chest. Checking the ti, he smiled. “It’s getting late. Let drive you ho.”

Outside her house, Fang Xuan hesitated. She wanted to ask him to stay a little longer, but when she saw lights on through the window, she knew her parents were back. The thought alone snuffed out the mont before it could take root.

Wang Haoran rolled down the car window and glanced at her. “It’s hard to get a cab in this area, so I’ll just take the Aventador back. I’ll have soone drop it off to you tomorrow.”

Fang Xuan shook her head. “There’s no need. You should keep it. Don’t send it back.”

“That doesn’t feel right…” he started, but she cut him off.

“You bought it with your own money. What’s wrong with that? Besides, Hengheng’s illness still hasn’t improved. If the car just sits there unused, it might break down.”

“Well… alright then,” Wang Haoran agreed, though he made it sound reluctant. Then, as if rembering sothing important, he added, “Oh, and your little brother’s fake antiques in the basent—I’ll get soone to haul them out tomorrow, see if we can make a few bucks off them in the flea markets. I’ll send whatever we get to you.”

“Just send soone to move them. You don’t need to give anything,” Fang Xuan replied softly.

Wang Haoran nodded. “Alright. I’m heading out then.”

“Wait.”

He stopped, turning to look at her. “Sothing else?”

Fang Xuan didn’t answer. She stepped forward slowly, her pace timid but deliberate. Then, without a word, she bent down and kissed his cheek—a light, fleeting brush, like a dragonfly skimming the surface of water. Before he could respond, she turned on her heel and dashed inside with her red face.

Touching the lingering warmth on his cheek, Wang Haoran smiled to himself. With a gentle press on the gas, the Lamborghini surged forward and vanished into the night.

The Aventador was top-tier, nearly ten million yuan after customization. Driving it gave him a thrill.

Elsewhere, three dormmates—Liu Hua, Lu Ming, and Wei Zhihang—were returning from a late-night snack run. On the way back, Wei Zhihang realized he’d forgotten his phone and told the others to head on without him while he ran back to fetch it.

Phone in hand, he started back toward the dorms. But as he passed through a quiet, lamp-lit campus path, his eyes were drawn ahead—to a tall, long-haired girl walking alone beneath the streetlight’s halo.

Even just her back made his blood stir. Sothing about her figure, that confident stride… it was magnetic. Without thinking, he followed from a distance, his steps light and cautious.

The girl reached a bend in the path and disappeared from view for a mont.

Wei Zhihang picked up his pace, eager to catch up. But just as he turned the corner, a small but vicious fist slamd straight into his eye socket.

Pain exploded across his face as stars danced in his vision. He staggered back, clutching his face, his right eye already swelling into a panda bruise.

He wanted to scream, to curse, but the mont he saw who had punched him, all his rage dissipated like smoke.

He knew her.

She was a sophomore from the Finance Departnt, and the only recognized campus belle of her year—Ren Jiaojiao.

“Hey! Why the hell are you following your daddy?” Ren Jiaojiao barked, rolling up her sleeves like she was ready to brawl.

“Y-Your… daddy?” Wei Zhihang froze, completely stunned. “Did you seriously just call yourself that?”

“I asked you a question. Why’re you tailing ?” Ren Jiaojiao repeated.

“I wasn’t following you! We were just heading the sa way!” he protested, then added with a sneer, “Still, you went too far. You gave a black eye for no reason. You better give an explanation—or this isn’t over.”

“Oh?” She smirked coldly. “And what kind of explanation do you want?”

Wei Zhihang chuckled slyly, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “That’s simple. If you agree to be my girlfriend, I’ll drop it.”

“You want to be your girlfriend?” Ren Jiaojiao laughed, but the sound was mocking.

“Wait, are you agreeing?” His eyes lit up.

“I could, I suppose,” she said, grinning strangely. “But only if you et one condition. If you can manage it, I’ll say yes.”

“Na it! Anything! If I can’t do it, my boss can. My boss is amazing!”

“Your boss?” She raised an eyebrow.

“Wang Haoran. You’ve heard of him, right? He’s the Young Master of Wang Group—and our campus hunk in the freshman year.”

Ren Jiaojiao made a face. Just hearing that na left a bad taste in her mouth.

Returning to the matter at hand, she said, “Nope. This one’s on you. Your boss can’t help you.”

“What is it, then?”

“Simple. Stand still and let hit you. If you can take the hit without falling, I’ll agree.”

“That’s it? Easy! Let’s do it.”

“You ready?”

“Co on!”

Before the last word was even fully out of his mouth, Ren Jiaojiao’s knee drove up with brutal precision—straight into his nether region.

Wei Zhihang let out a high-pitched shriek and collapsed onto the ground in a fetal ball, writhing like a shrimp in boiling water.

“See? You fell. Guess that’s a no,” she said cheerfully, dusting off her hands. With a wicked smile, she turned and strutted off.

Back at the girls’ dormitory, Ren Jiaojiao sauntered through the hallways. As she passed each room, her gaze drifted purposefully toward the open doors, scanning for beautiful faces. When she spotted a pretty girl, her eyes lit up with open desire, and a bit of drool even threatened to escape the corner of her mouth.

“What are you staring at?”

A soft, honeyed voice chid from nearby. Ren Jiaojiao turned to look and imdiately froze.

Standing beside her was a baby-faced girl with an impossibly curvy figure. Just one glance and Ren Jiaojiao’s pupils dilated like a predator spotting prey.

Then it hit her.

“You’re… Mu Zhaozhao, the freshman campus belle, right? I saw your pictures on the campus forum!”

“You’re the sophomore Finance student Ren Jiaojiao?” Mu Zhaozhao recognized her as well.

Ren Jiaojiao blinked, stunned for a few seconds before hastily nodding. “Yeah! Yes, that’s . I’m Ren Jiaojiao.”
