Chapter 357: Ye Qiu’s Downfall

【Ding! Host has orchestrated behind the scenes to ensure Ye Qiu’s arrest and impending judgnt. Gained 1600 Villain Points. Ye Qiu’s Protagonist Halo -80, Host’s Villain Halo 80!】

【Ding! Ye Qiu has lost all ans of escape. Protagonist status revoked.】

【Ding! Congratulations to the Host. Villain Halo has surpassed the 9000 threshold. Reward is being calculated. Please wait.】

Three system prompts rang out in quick succession. Wang Haoran wasn’t surprised in the least. Ye Qiu’s downfall was inevitable.

Back when he was captured, Wang Haoran had already ensured the result. That glass of water—seemingly harmless—contained two additives. One stripped Ye Qiu of his manhood. The other permanently crippled his muscle nerves, an effect that couldn’t be reversed.

Stripped of his skills as a top-class assassin and exposed by the concrete evidence unearthed by Bu Feiyan, Ye Qiu had nothing left. What awaited him now was judgnt.

Still, Wang Haoran couldn’t help but feel a twinge of regret.

He had originally planned to keep Ye Qiu alive, slowly cutting off his chances and leeching Villain Points from every encounter. But Ye Qiu insisted on throwing himself into the fire.

Pushing the thought aside, Wang Haoran focused on sothing else—the system reward for breaking through 9000 Villain Halo.

Past rewards had been impressive, except the first one, which had been lackluster. This ti, he was curious what the system would give.

Before long, the notification arrived.

【Ding! Villain Halo has crossed 9000. Reward granted: “Unlimited Domination Experience Card” x1.】

Wang Haoran raised an eyebrow. The na sounded familiar. He quickly pulled up the item description.

Unlimited Domination Experience Card (Value: 60,000 Villain Points)

Effect: Activates an “unrestricted domination” mode. Forcefully claiming any female lead will instantly raise her Favorability toward the Host to max.

Note 1: Card effect lasts for 3 hours. Afterward, it expires.

Note 2: Each card works on only one female lead.

After reading the details, Wang Haoran understood why it had seed so familiar.

This was a variant of Yan Yuntian’s Halo.

The difference was clear—this wasn’t a passive halo. It was a tid, single-use item. A temporary boost instead of a permanent cheat.

Still, its power was undeniable. No matter how much a female lead hated him—even if her Favorability sat at -100—this card could flip it to full.

Even so, Wang Haoran felt no excitent. In fact, he looked down on it.

For a top-tier villain like him, using a trick like this to win over a woman felt beneath him. That was the kind of thing a low-grade villain would do.

The next afternoon, Wang Haoran visited the BBQ shop run by Yu Shiqing’s family.

“Your jacket’s dry. Let go grab it for you,” she said the mont she saw him, then hurried upstairs. When she returned, she handed him the coat from the day before.

“Got so ti? Want to go for a walk?” he asked casually as he took it.

Yu Shiqing blinked, not quite believing what she heard. “Co again?”

“Just a walk. Will you join ?” he repeated with a calm smile.

She stood frozen for a second. No boy had ever said sothing like that to her before, much less soone this handso.

“Shiqing, it’s fine. Nothing’s going on at the shop. If he invited you, then go,” her mother chid in from the side.

After what happened yesterday, her mother had taken a liking to Wang Haoran. She didn’t see him as a bad person at all.

Besides, she didn’t think he had any intentions toward her daughter. To her, this was just a classmate interaction.

Yu Shiqing was a first-year college student, sa grade as Wang Haoran, though they were in different departnts.

“Can you wait a minute? I want to change clothes,” she said, clearly pleased, though trying to hide it behind a shy tone.

Wang Haoran nodded once.

A few minutes later, Yu Shiqing returned in a light, simple dress. Her look was soft, fresh, and just a bit nervous.

“All right… let’s go.” She kept her head down as she spoke, voice barely louder than a whisper.

They left the BBQ shop and walked toward the nearby park. In a quiet pavilion stood a figure already waiting on one of the benches.

“You’re here,” the woman said without turning, then glanced over at them.

Yu Shiqing saw her face and froze. The woman’s beauty was like frost on a lotus—noble, distant, impossible to approach. A pang of self-doubt blood in her chest, quickly followed by resignation.

“This is my friend, Bian Suwen,” Wang Haoran said, sensing Yu Shiqing’s reaction. “She’s a divine doctor.”

Yu Shiqing blinked. Her earlier thoughts faded as gratitude replaced them.

“I’ve seen so many doctors for the birthmark on my face, but none—”

“She’s different,” Wang Haoran said gently, cutting her off. “Trust .”

Yu Shiqing nodded, then followed him into the pavilion and sat down quietly.

Bian Suwen glanced at Wang Haoran first, her gaze soft and full of unspoken emotion. But with soone else present, she kept her distance and focused on the task at hand.

Yu Shiqing instinctively lowered her head when she felt the woman’s eyes on her.

“No need to be nervous,” Bian Suwen said in a warm voice. “I need to take a closer look to give you a proper diagnosis.”

Encouraged by the gentle tone, Yu Shiqing slowly lifted her head, though her fingers twisted nervously at her skirt.

Bian Suwen gently swept aside her bangs. The mont her fingers touched skin, Yu Shiqing’s body trembled, but she didn’t resist.

After a mont, Bian Suwen let the hair fall back in place, her brows slightly furrowed.

“Well?” Wang Haoran asked, sensing sothing off.

“The birthmark is rooted deep, beneath the flesh. I can’t remove it entirely without a trace,” Bian Suwen said, her voice tinged with regret. “I can lighten it, reduce the contrast, but your friend’s skin is so pale that even a faded mark might still be noticeable.”

Wang Haoran had been prepared for this. He wasn’t disappointed.

He already guessed that only Lu Chen could completely remove that mark.

With Lu Chen not being in the picture, Wang Haoran couldn’t care less whether Yu Shiqing beca beautiful.

And even if Lu Chen were available, getting his help would’ve likely cost money—maybe a lot.

Wang Haoran had no interest in giving the protagonist a single coin.

He’d need another approach.

He’d have to build a connection with soone close to Lu Chen. That way, they could take Yu Shiqing to him for treatnt, and he wouldn’t need to pay a thing.

There were two people who fit the bill. One was Lu Chen’s grumpy old grandfather. The other—his gorgeous little sister.

As for which one to choose… did he even need to think about it?
