Hearing Wang Haoran’s words, Qin Fan couldn’t help but chuckle.

In this entire world, was there really anyone he needed to fear?

He smirked faintly. “Fine. I’ll wait. Let’s see how you and your so-called sister end up begging on your knees later.”

But Wang Haoran only smiled oddly in return. He lifted his hand and waved toward soone behind Qin Fan.

“Over here, sis!”

Tantai Yaoyue had just entered the restaurant, her gaze sweeping the space as she searched for Wang Haoran. She didn’t spot him at first, but upon hearing his voice, she turned toward the sound, and there he was.

A bright smile blood on her face as she walked over.

Qin Fan followed Wang Haoran’s gaze with clear disdain, half-expecting to see just another forgettable woman. But the mont he laid eyes on her, he froze. For several seconds, he didn’t even blink. Then, like a tide breaking against a dam, a surge of joy swelled in his chest.

Tantai Yaoyue?

Ecstatic surprise flooded Qin Fan’s heart.

He had been racking his brain trying to figure out how to reconnect with her, only to run into her here?

Was this… fate?

That thought blood in Qin Fan’s chest.

Yaoyue approached, equally surprised and happy. “Master? You ca down from the mountain, too?”

“Yes,” Qin Fan nodded, then glanced subtly toward Wang Haoran. His expression shifted slightly. “Is he your younger brother?”

“Yeah.” She nodded casually.

“Big sis, he was about to hit earlier—and said both of us would be begging him for rcy,” Wang Haoran wasted no ti filing his complaint.

Qin Fan’s expression stiffened for a mont.

“You’re supposed to be a reclusive expert, Master. Why are you bullying my little brother? He’s just a normal person,” Tantai Yaoyue frowned. Although she deeply respected Qin Fan, her tone was filled with displeasure.

“Misunderstanding—it’s all a misunderstanding,” Qin Fan waved it off, his tone hurried.

He took another good look at Wang Haoran.

Back on the mountain, Yaoyue once vaguely ntioned having six little sisters and one little brother. No blood relation, but closer than real family.

So, this must be that little brother.

Qin Fan’s thoughts about his beautiful disciple weren’t entirely pure. Seeing her speak up for this guy, he knew better than to escalate anything.

Besides, as she said, he was a hidden master. Squabbling with a regular person would really be beneath his status.

“Haoran, are you feeling okay anywhere?” Yaoyue asked worriedly as she stood by Wang Haoran’s side.

She knew Qin Fan had a lot of strange tricks and was concerned he might’ve hurt her little brother without anyone noticing.

“I didn’t touch him. Relax,” Qin Fan quickly explained before Wang Haoran could even speak.

Only then did Yaoyue ease up.

“I said sothing inappropriate just now. Sorry about that,” Qin Fan added, stepping forward with a friendly smile and offering Wang Haoran a handshake.

He did not have the best first impression of him, but because of Yaoyue, he genuinely wanted to build a good relationship.

After all, if he ended up with her, this guy would beco his little brother-in-law. No reason to make things awkward.

“No worries. Since you’re my sister’s master, that makes you family,” Wang Haoran replied with a friendly grin and shook his hand.

Seeing Wang Haoran so gracious, Qin Fan’s smile deepened.

【Ding! The host successfully feigned friendliness and gained Qin Fan’s trust, subtly altering the plot. Gained: 2,800 Villain Points. Qin Fan’s Protagonist Halo -140. Villain Halo 140!】

Wang Haoran saw the system alert flash across his mind and felt secretly pleased. As expected of soone with a protagonist halo over ten thousand—the rewards were huge.

He thought 140,000 villain points would be a mountain to climb, but now? It seed very doable.

A clear plan was forming in his head.

Becoming friends with Qin Fan was just step one.

Step two—start quietly targeting Qin Fan’s disciples.

After all, he had 99 overpowered disciples. They were a major pillar of his storyline.

If Wang Haoran started dismantling that network, he could massively shift the plot and earn tons of villain points.

And once he has enough points, he’ll be able to cash them in for power—until the day he surpasses Qin Fan and could rip off the friendly mask and crush him once and for all.

“Haoran, what’s going on?” Zhen Shuai finally snapped out of his daze—he’d been frozen since catching sight of Tantai Yaoyue’s stunning face. “Weren’t you calling people to teach him a lesson? What’s this family reunion all of a sudden?”

“Haoran, is this your cousin?” Qin Fan changed his tune and was suddenly using a much friendlier tone.

Wang Haoran nodded and turned to Zhen Shuai, saying, “He’s one of us. Just let it go.”

“I got slapped, though! Several tis! And you want to just let it go?” Zhen Shuai grumbled, clearly still pissed.

“Cut the crap,” Wang Haoran snapped, his voice cold. “Go back to wherever you ca from—or I’ll—”

He stopped mid-sentence.

“Alright, alright, I’m leaving!” Zhen Shuai caught on quickly, interrupting before Haoran could spill anything dangerous, and bolted with his tail between his legs.

Qin Fan watched him go and turned to Haoran. “That cousin of yours isn’t exactly a good guy. Harassing won on the street for their numbers? Total creep. You did the right thing, distancing yourself.”

Wang Haoran felt a pang of irritation inside, but on the surface, he feigned surprise. “So he got beaten up for hitting on a girl?”

Qin Fan looked at him strangely. “What did he tell you?”

“He said soone bumped into him on the street, and when he asked for an apology, they beat him up instead,” Haoran replied, keeping a straight face as he wove his tale.

“He lied to you,” Qin Fan said bluntly, giving him another assessing look.

In his eyes, Wang Haoran didn’t seem like a bad person—just a bit naive and easy to manipulate.

“I swear, I’m never believing him again,” Wang Haoran added, playing along. Then, turning toward Yaoyue, he smiled, “Sis, my treat today. What would you like to eat?”

“Whatever you choose,” she smiled gently. Food didn’t matter to her—it was all about the company.

Wang Haoran ordered a second serving of the sa al he had for her.

Not long after, the food arrived.

Qin Fan had already eaten, so he simply sat nearby, watching.

Tantai Yaoyue’s every movent—her graceful eating, her elegant gestures—was enough to make hearts race. She was, without a doubt, the kind of woman who could bring empires to ruin.

Watching her, an idea suddenly sparked in Qin Fan’s mind.

He silently pinched his fingers together and began divining her fate—specifically, her romantic destiny.

Monts later, his expression lit up with joy and wonder.

Yaoyue, noticing him staring, tilted her head slightly and asked curiously, “Master, is there sothing on my face?”

“I was calculating your love fate just now,” Qin Fan said with a mysterious smile.

She quickly swallowed the food in her mouth, eyes lighting up. “And? What did you find?”

“Your Love Star is rising,” Qin Fan said, his voice calm, but inside, his heart was bursting with excitent.

“Good things are coming your way.”

Wang Haoran, who had been fiddling with his phone, suddenly looked up in shock when he heard that, and looked toward Tantai Yaoyue.
