After giving ten vials of blood to Zeir—yes, only ten, because Zeir didn’t want Roxanna to drain too much blood from her body—she finally collapsed.

Luckily, Cyrus was standing right beside her. He quickly caught her before she could hit the floor.

"When can we stop her from doing things like this?" Cyrus asked, lifting his head to look at Zeir.

Zeir shook his head. "It will take ti. Just be patient for now." Then he added, "We just have to make sure she doesn’t do sothing too dangerous just because she wants to save other people."

Honestly, Roxanna could still hear their conversation faintly. However, it was enough for her to understand that her husbands were truly tired of her habit of sacrificing herself.

Well, she was also fed up with her own personality!

But it was hard. It was really hard to be selfish when she had grown up believing that selfishness was sothing terrible, sothing wrong.

[I really need to change soon...] Roxanna thought. [I don’t want to make my husbands angry because of my weird behavior.]

Zeir and Cyrus stared at each other and hissed silently. They didn’t expect her to still be conscious in secret.

Cyrus quickly cleared his throat. "But... at least I’m glad our wife is a kind person," he said. He purposely raised his voice, making sure Roxanna could hear every word clearly. "Thanks to her, we don’t need to worry about the warriors’ well-being in the cursed forest."

Zeir nodded. "Yes. I can’t believe we were blessed with a wife as kind as her."

Roxanna held her breath for a mont and scread inside her head. [My husbands are praising ! They’re not angry at !]

Without realizing it, her fox tail swayed left and right as she felt happy. She couldn’t even control it.

[Then... I have to do even more good deeds!]

The mont Zeir saw that tail moving happily, he imdiately understood that if they only praised her sacrifices, Roxanna would only think she was doing the right thing.

So Zeir quickly changed his words. "But it would be better if she didn’t help people beyond her limits," he said softly. He sighed, trying his best not to sound annoyed. "It’s just... I really care about her. I don’t want anything bad to happen to her."

"Yes..." Cyrus added, like he was pouring oil onto the fire. "If she keeps acting like this... our baby might get sick too."

[M-My baby?!] Roxanna gasped silently. She finally rembered that she was still in early pregnancy.

She hadn’t experienced any discomfort—nausea, vomiting, fever—during the first trister, so it was natural that Roxanna had montarily forgotten she was pregnant.

[You haven’t even been pregnant for more than a week, Host!] the system said. [That’s why you haven’t experienced any significant changes in your body yet.]

[Even though you have strong healing ability, that doesn’t an pregnancy will be easy.]

[But don’t worry. The side effects won’t be as bad as they would be if you were pregnant in a human body.]

Roxanna was silent for a mont because she didn’t expect she would experience that even with this body. But it seed to make sense, since her baby would definitely absorb nutrients from her body, so she truly had to take care of herself now.

[For my baby, I won’t act like a stupid saint anymore!] Roxanna swore in her heart. [I promise!]

Cyrus and Zeir nodded at the sa ti, feeling satisfied because their tactic had successfully made Roxanna change her mindset. However, if they thought about it again, the only reason she wanted to take care of her body was because of her baby.

In the end, Roxanna only wanted to take care of herself because of other people, not because she truly cared about herself. But still... that was better than her not holding back at all when it ca to helping others.

At least this was a good beginning. They could take a baby step, and slowly teach her how to be selfish, even just a little.

"Alright. I think you should go now before the sun sets," Cyrus said as he lifted Roxanna up again, because her body was slowly slipping from his arms. "I’ll take care of her."

Zeir nodded, then put all the blood vials into the animal-skin cloth. "Azul will stay here with you too. If sothing bad happens while we’re gone... just run."

Zeir always said the sa thing to the others. If they couldn’t fight a demon beast alone, then the only way to survive was to run.

"I know," Cyrus replied calmly. "We’ll be fine. Don’t worry."

Not long after, all the warriors who would go to the cursed forest had gathered, and Zeir finally gave his first order; he wanted them to find sothing that could be used to protect their ho.

Azul, who had been standing in front of the hut this whole ti, finally stepped inside after Zeir left the settlent. He stared deeply at Roxanna when Cyrus laid her down on the floor mattress.

"Did you stab her?" Azul asked. That was also one of the reasons why he didn’t want to enter the hut earlier.

He just didn’t want to hurt her anymore.

On the other side, Cyrus shook his head. "No. She hurt herself. But it didn’t look like she enjoyed it."

Cyrus fell silent for a mont to make sure Roxanna was truly asleep. "So you don’t have to worry."

Azul let out a tired sigh, then finally chose to sit beside Roxanna. "How can I not worry when my wife always makes worry?"

He patted Roxanna’s head a few tis, and then his hand ended up resting on her stomach. "We really have to be extra careful in protecting her."

Zeir and the warriors had left the settlent since noon, but even after night fell, they still hadn’t returned.

Roxanna, who had already been awake for a while, started to feel worried, but Cyrus repeatedly reassured her to keep waiting in the settlent instead of going to look for them in the forest.

"They’re coming!" one of the warriors in the settlent shouted when he saw the group of warriors returning.

Roxanna, who had been sitting on the hut’s porch, imdiately jumped down and rushed toward the gate. At that mont, she saw the warriors’ bodies stained with leftover blood from their battle.

So of the warriors could barely walk. They stumbled forward, their bodies shaking, while their fellow warriors held them up so they wouldn’t fall.

Roxanna quietly counted them in her head one by one, and when she realized no one was missing, she finally felt her chest loosen a little.

At least, even though they were badly injured, none of them had died.

But then her eyes landed on Luan. Zeir and Calen were supporting him on both sides because his legs were injured so badly. Even so, the mont Luan t Roxanna’s eyes, he imdiately tried to stand up straight on his own, like he didn’t want her to see him weak.

But the second he put weight on his legs, his body almost gave up, and he nearly fell. Good thing Calen was able to catch him on ti.

At the very back of the group, the warriors who didn’t look seriously injured were dragging sothing heavy across the ground.

Roxanna’s eyes widened when she realized what it was.

The dead Demon Fenrir!

Its body was being pulled toward the settlent like nothing more than trash.

Its head had already been torn from its body, and one of the warriors was even carrying the head separately.

"Leader," Zeir was the first one to speak to Roxanna as soon as they arrived in front of the settlent gate. "I managed to bring the Demon Fenrir for you."

[That’s for the settlent, so why is he talking as if the dead Demon Fenrir is my dowry?!] Roxanna shouted in her mind.

Zeir didn’t understand what dowry ant, but it seed like sothing important. However, he imdiately corrected himself because Roxanna sounded like she didn’t like it. "I an... we managed to kill the Demon Fenrir for our tribe."

"Y-Yes, I can see it," Roxanna said hesitantly, because she truly didn’t expect they could capture—scratch that—kill the DEMON FENRIR!

"Alright, alright..." Roxanna forced herself to calm down, taking a deep breath. "Let’s put that... Demon Fenrir aside first. Let heal your wounds."

She was already about to cut her hand again to draw blood, but before she could even move, Zeir suddenly reached out and grabbed the dagger from her. Then he threw it far away so far that it disappeared into the darkness.

"Zeir! Wh—" Roxanna gasped.

"You’ve done enough for today," Zeir said sharply, cutting her off before she could finish. His voice wasn’t loud, but it was firm. "Roxanna," he continued, staring straight at her, "I know you an well. But you need to think about yourself first... and only then about others."

"We’ve already used your blood to heal our severe wounds, and now we just need to wait for our own healing ability to kick in."

On the other side, Roxanna froze in place. She stared at the dagger that Zeir had thrown so far away, looking completely shocked.

[I thought he was angry... and that he wanted to throw the dagger at my face.]
