"Y-Yes... I’m alive," Luan finally answered after Roxanna kept shouting in his ears. "Just... cold," he said, his teeth chattering.

"I know. I know." Roxanna held his hands tightly and rubbed them again and again. Then she quickly took out the blanket from the bag and wrapped it around his body. "I’ll warm you up. You’ll be fine. You’ll be fine."

Roxanna realized that her husband probably wouldn’t recover quickly with just a warm blanket and a heating stone. He needed sothing stronger to speed up his physical recovery.

She could make him drink her blood because that would help him heal quickly. But in his current state, when he was dizzy and not thinking clearly, he might panic if she suddenly did that.

That was why Roxanna decided to use another fluid in her body: her saliva.

She gently turned Luan’s face toward hers and leaned in. Their lips touched softly. She lifted his chin a little so he would open his mouth, allowing her to give him her saliva.

Luan was surprised at first, but little by little, his body relaxed, and he even hugged Roxanna tightly in the middle of their kiss.

Roxanna felt her heart beat faster, and she felt that it was the longest kiss she had ever had, but at least it was worth it.

Luan’s body temperature slowly stopped being freezing cold, and his skin was no longer as pale as the snow.

The mont Roxanna pulled away from their kiss, she imdiately hugged Luan more tightly, as if she wanted to send all the heat in her body to him.

"Roxanna," Luan’s voice was no longer trembling. "I’m fine now."

He raised his hand and gently touched her cheek. "Thank you... for finding ."

"Of course I would find you!" she shouted, her voice shaking. "Even if you were buried under the deepest snow, I would dig you out myself!"

Luan couldn’t help but chuckle. After taking a few deep breaths, he shifted his position and sat upright beside Roxanna.

"Luckily, I wasn’t in the deepest layer," Luan said with a weak smile. "But if you hadn’t co... I might’ve turned into a snowman."

Roxanna lightly smacked his shoulder when she heard that. "Don’t joke like that!" she said angrily. "I would... I would be really sad if I found you like that."

[I really don’t want to lose any of them because of ...] she thought. [I’d rather be the one who gets hur—]

Her thoughts suddenly went blank when Luan pulled her into his embrace. He hugged her tightly and even held her head so she couldn’t pull away.

"I’m sorry," Luan whispered. "That was a bad joke. I won’t say sothing like that ever again."

He gently stroked the back of her head and kissed her temple again and again.

"I’ll rember that," Roxanna said softly, hugging him back.

Roxanna was just about to relax when she suddenly rembered that Cyrus was still separated from them.

"Cyrus!" She pushed Luan so she could look at his face. "We have to go find Cyrus right now!"

[But what should I say if Luan asks how I found them?] Roxanna thought. [I swear... sotis I feel like it would be easier if I told them everything about the system.]

However, explaining the whole concept of the system to people living in such a primitive place would be quite difficult. For now, she would stick to saying that the system was a kind of spirit guidance in her head.

Even though Luan seed to understand what Roxanna was thinking, he still asked, "How can we find him?"

Roxanna quickly replied, "The voice in my head can guide us to him!"

When she looked at the system panel again, her eyes widened in shock. Cyrus had suddenly started moving very fast toward the north.

"W-What? What happened?" Roxanna wondered in confusion.

It was impossible for Cyrus to run that fast when he didn’t know where she was. And it was even more impossible for him to fly in his bird form, because his bird form was very small and wouldn’t be able to carry his backpack.

"What’s wrong?" Luan asked, straightening his back when he saw how panicked Roxanna looked.

"C-Cyrus... I’m not sure, but I think sothing is pulling him toward the north," Roxanna said softly. Her voice shook, and her body felt cold as fear slowly filled her chest.

"Luan... what if Cyrus is being taken away by so demon beasts?" Roxanna asked in a trembling voice. Her eyes had already turned red.

Luan took a deep breath and stood up. He swayed a little at first, trying to steady himself. After a few seconds, he finally stood firmly.

"There’s no use guessing," he said calmly. "Let’s go to him as fast as we can."

Then he looked at her seriously. "It’ll be faster if you turn into your fox form. I can run faster than you. You can guide on the way."

Roxanna nodded quickly, her heart still pounding. They didn’t have ti to waste.

Cyrus was waiting, and they had to reach him before it was too late.

The mont Roxanna turned into her fox form, Luan quickly picked her up and held her close to his chest. His arms wrapped around her tightly, as if he was afraid she might slip away.

"Tell the way," Luan said in a low, serious voice.

Roxanna then showed him the direction by pointing her fox head toward the north.

Without wasting another second, Luan started running. The cold wind brushed against her fur, but she didn’t care too much.

[Hurry up! Hurry up, Luan!] Roxanna shouted in her mind.

She knew he couldn’t hear her thoughts, but she still hoped that Luan felt the sa sense of urgency as her.

"Hang on," Luan murmured softly. "We’ll get there soon."

He held Roxanna tightly in his arms, protecting her from the freezing wind. He kept running without stopping, as if he believed that if he stopped, they would truly lose Cyrus.

Roxanna kept staring at the floating panel, and after being dragged away again and again, Cyrus’s location finally stopped at one point.

Wait... wasn’t that the peak of this mountain?
