I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?! Chapter 194: My Husbands Are Too Lovely (1)
[If this is truly his own feather, then that ans he had to pluck it out himself. How can he be that sweet?]
Roxanna felt a pinch in her chest.
[My poor Cyrus... have I been pushing my husbands too much to give replacents for the wedding ring? Did Cyrus really hurt himself just to give sothing?]
Cyrus frowned a little. Pulling out his own feather did hurt, but it was not sothing serious. The feather would grow back anyway, and giving sothing that was a part of himself to his wife did not feel like too much to him.
At the sa ti, Cyrus also felt relieved because his wife was the type of person who would always appreciate the gifts others gave her.
"It’s because you are soone precious to too," Cyrus finally said. "That’s why you deserve sothing that is precious to ."
He paused for a mont before continuing, "I know this feather may look useless, but if you can, keep it close to you—"
"Of course I will keep it close!" Roxanna quickly cut him off. "And this isn’t just a feather. It’s Cyrus’s gift!"
[Maybe I can turn this feather into a necklace... or maybe a bracelet.] Roxanna thought happily. [This feather is really beautiful. I could make many kinds of jewelry with it.]
The mont he heard that, the worry in Cyrus’s heart slowly disappeared, and a warm smile finally appeared on his face. "That’s good to hear."
His smile was so gentle that Roxanna couldn’t stop herself from leaning forward and hugging him tightly, so tightly that it almost felt as if their bodies could lt together.
"Thank you, Cyrus," she whispered softly. "I will treasure this feather."
Cyrus hugged her back and gently kissed her temple a few tis. "I should be the one thanking you," he said quietly. "Thank you for staying with us."
Roxanna fell silent for a mont. She couldn’t understand why Cyrus was thanking her for that. After all, she couldn’t possibly leave the tribe or her husbands when she didn’t even have the skills to survive alone in the wild.
If anything, shouldn’t she be the one thanking them for staying with her? But... was that really what Cyrus ant?
Could it be that he sohow knew about her habit of shortening her own lifespan whenever she wanted?
No matter the reason, his words brought a strange sense of calm to her heart. Roxanna relaxed in his arms, feeling so safe and warm that her fox tail slowly drooped behind her.
Maybe it was because, in her past life, she rarely received love from anyone, so whenever her husbands showed how much they cared about her, she couldn’t help but feel deeply happy.
"Roxanna!"
She straightened her back the mont she heard soone calling her na—wait, no, it wasn’t just soone. It was Calen’s voice.
Before she could even turn toward the door, it suddenly burst open with a loud bang. The walls of the hut shook slightly.
"Roxanna! I brought sothing valuable for you!" Calen shouted excitedly. His face was lit up with a huge grin, and his sharp little fangs were clearly visible at the corners of his lips.
On the other side, Cyrus let out a rough sigh. Their peaceful mont together had once again been interrupted by a certain dog. He slowly let go of Roxanna, allowing his wife to hurry toward Calen.
"Calen, you can’t keep slamming the door like that!" Roxanna scolded him right away. "What if you make this whole hut collapse?"
The mont Roxanna scolded him, Calen imdiately lowered his head deeply. His dog ears drooped, and even his tail fell low behind him.
"I’m sorry, wife," he murmured quietly.
But less than a minute later, Calen lifted his head again and smiled brightly. "But I brought sothing valuable for you, and I couldn’t wait to show it to you!"
He looked so excited and happy that Roxanna no longer had the heart to scold him. "What is it?" she asked gently.
Calen quickly raised his hand, showing her a necklace. The string was made from twisted hanging tree roots.
However, that wasn’t what caught Roxanna’s attention, it was the pendant hanging in the middle.
"I-Is that... a fang?" she asked uncertainly.
It didn’t look like an ordinary fang. If anything, it looked like sothing taken from a demon beast.
"Yes! This is a demon tiger’s fang!" Calen said proudly, puffing out his chest. "I hunted it in the forest all night, and I can say it was really worth it!"
Roxanna stood in front of Calen with her lips slightly parted.
The last thing she rembered was that Calen had just woken up from his long sleep yesterday, and yet now he had already hunted a demon tiger in the cursed forest, as if it were nothing more than a simple ga for him.
"W-Why would you put yourself in danger alone like that?" Roxanna finally asked after gathering her thoughts.
Calen raised one of his eyebrows, looking confused. "Didn’t you say yesterday that we could give you sothing valuable?"
He continued honestly, "I didn’t have anything valuable with , so I had to hunt it first. And this demon tiger’s fang is sothing valuable to !"
Before Roxanna could ask anything else, Calen’s blabbering mouth had already continued explaining. "My mother once told that my father gave her a demon tiger’s fang right after they got married, so I thought..."
Calen lowered his head again, looking a little embarrassed. "...I thought you might like it too. But of course, you are different from my mother, so if you don’t like it, that’s okay."
Throughout his life, Calen had rarely seen couples who truly loved each other. Most of the things he saw were fights and bloodshed. Because of that, the only example he could rember was his own parents.
He only rembered that whenever his mother talked about the demon tiger fang necklace, she would smile brightly and proudly talk about his father.
