"Look at this," he said with a small frown. "Your hands are already so dirty."

"You’ve all been busy, so how could I just stay at ho doing nothing?" Roxanna asked as Azul gently cleaned her hands.

Azul lifted his head and looked at her. "What do you an ’doing nothing’?" he said. "Aren’t you pregnant? You’re carrying a baby in your belly."

Roxanna pressed her lips into a thin line when she heard that. For so reason... she kept forgetting that she was pregnant.

It wasn’t really her fault, though.

Her pregnancy felt too easy because she didn’t feel nauseous, and there were no strange symptoms at all.

The only thing she felt was that her stomach had beco slightly bigger—just a little—and even that wasn’t very noticeable yet.

"Do you think it’s normal for a pregnant beastwoman to feel nothing?" Roxanna asked, her tone half serious, half casual. "I an... I’m still less than two weeks pregnant, but since beast pregnancies are fast, shouldn’t I have felt sothing by now?"

Azul paused, his hand still holding hers, but he stopped cleaning it. He slowly lifted his head and looked at her.

"Wouldn’t it be easier if you don’t feel anything during your pregnancy?" he asked gently. "I would be more worried if you started feeling too many things right now."

Roxanna let out a small laugh. "Isn’t that normal?" she said. "Back in my world, most pregnant won feel nausea or have other symptoms."

She paused for a mont, then added softly, "Although... I know not everyone experiences that."

She rembered one of her pregnant co-workers who could still work just fine without any problems.

"I’m not really an expert in this kind of thing," Azul admitted, looking a little unsure. "And this is also my first ti having a pregnant wife, so I don’t really know what is considered normal," Azul finished, his voice a little softer than before.

He tightened his hold on her hand slightly, as if he was afraid of doing sothing wrong. "But... I just want you to be comfortable," he added quietly.

Roxanna looked at him for a mont, then smiled. "I am comfortable," she said gently.

Azul let out a soft sigh, then gave a small, gentle smile. "But still... maybe we should ask Aelin about your pregnancy," he said. "After all, she knows more about dical things than I do."

Azul might know a lot about dicinal plants, but that didn’t an he knew everything about a person’s health, especially sothing that was hard to see with the eyes.

Roxanna nodded. "I think that’s a good idea," she said softly.

Then, after a brief pause, her expression turned a little more serious. "By the way..." she began, glancing at him. "How did you know?"

Azul, who had been about to continue cleaning Roxanna’s hands, suddenly stopped. For a brief mont, he felt like there was sothing he should avoid talking about.

When he didn’t respond, Roxanna spoke again. "How did you know that I sotis hear another voice in my mind?" she asked softly. "And it seems like you and the others also know that the voice is always guiding ."

Azul closed his eyes and clicked his tongue quietly.

Just as he thought, he shouldn’t have co back to the hut this quickly. He should have let the others arrive first and deal with this matter together.

But every ti he rembered that Roxanna had been alone, he couldn’t help but worry. That was why he rushed back without thinking too much.

After a mont of silence, Azul slowly opened his eyes. "Let’s just say... we didn’t figure it out all at once," he said at last.

His gaze softened as he looked at her. "It actually started with sothing small," he said. "You would suddenly stop in the middle of doing sothing, like you were listening to soone we couldn’t hear."

Roxanna blinked a few tis, her lips pressing together. [W-Was I really acting like that?]

She slowly covered her mouth, thinking back on everything she had done until now. [I’m not sure, but... he might not be wrong.]

After all, every ti she talked to the system, she often forgot that she was still around other people.

[But that still doesn’t prove anything!] Roxanna argued in her mind. [They could have just thought I was spacing out!]

Besides, why didn’t they interrupt her every ti she spaced out like that?

Wait, that’s right!

Roxanna suddenly realized that her husbands had never interrupted her, not even once, whenever she was talking to the system in her mind.

Her eyes widened slightly. [Damn... don’t tell ... can they actually hear my thoughts? Can they hear talking to soone else inside my mind?!]

The mont Roxanna started having too many suspicions in her mind, Azul beca nervous.

Actually, he didn’t want to lie to her all the ti either, but telling her that her husbands could hear all of her thoughts would only bring more harm than good.

"And sotis you also talk to yourself, like you’re speaking to soone," Azul added quickly. "After that, you always seem to have a solution to the problems we face."

His eyes moved frantically in every direction as he tried to gather his words. "And... and... you can always bring out so many amazing magical items! You always say they co from your magic portal, but to have a portal like that, you can’t be an ordinary person either."

Azul looked at her more seriously, and that sohow made Roxanna feel nervous.

"That’s why we thought..." he paused for a mont.

He quickly realized that the word system was not sothing people in this world would understand—at least, that was what Roxanna had always believed.

"...we thought you were talking to the Gods!" Azul said in the end. "Yes, that’s right. We think you might be a ssenger sent by the Gods from another world... to help all of us."

To be honest, Azul had often thought this way.

After all, the chance that his evil ex-wife suddenly disappeared from her body was very small—though not zero—so he had always believed that the Gods must have interfered in this matter.

He did know about the system, since he had heard Roxanna talking about it in her mind.

But still, sothing as powerful as the system must have been created by soone. Whether it was a god or so other powerful being, Azul didn’t really care because as long as that power could get rid of the evil Roxanna, that was enough for him.

Roxanna froze for a mont. "Gods?" she repeated softly.

Her fingers curled slightly at her sides. She didn’t know whether to laugh or feel relieved. [That’s... not exactly wrong... but also not right either.]

She lowered her gaze, her thoughts turning ssy. If they truly believed that she was so kind of ssenger, then... wouldn’t that make things easier?

At least, it was better than them knowing that the voice in her head was a system, and that her life, her actions—even her future—were being guided by sothing unseen and unnatural.

"I see..." Roxanna finally said.

"So... are we wrong?" he asked honestly.

Roxanna didn’t answer right away. She lowered her gaze and took a mont to think.

Living with the system’s guidance did feel a little wrong. But if they truly knew about it, would they really hate her?

[I was even mating with them just to extend my lifespan.] Roxanna sighed inwardly. [They would be so disappointed if they knew I didn’t care about them at the beginning.]

Azul frowned deeply, his brows pulling together so tightly that it looked like the lines would stay there.

She thought she didn’t care about them?

Was she serious?

On the very first day she ca to this world, she cried after learning all the terrible things the evil Roxanna had done to her husbands.

After that, she cried again when she found out that he had almost been eaten by a group of demon crocodiles. Without even thinking twice, she had cut her own skin, just to give him her blood and heal his wounds.

She even offered her other husbands to use her blood without hesitation. If that wasn’t care, then Azul didn’t know what was.

"You’re not entirely wrong," Roxanna said softly. "The truth is... I do receive a lot of guidance from that voice, including how to survive in this world."

Azul was about to respond, but Roxanna suddenly spoke again, her words coming out a little too quickly. "But Azul... what if the guidance I receive also tells how to use all of you for my own benefit?"

Her fingers tightened slightly as she spoke. To be honest, even she felt uncomfortable bringing up sothing like this, and she was still sure that this was sothing she should keep hidden.

[I even know how it feels to be used by soone, but in the end... I’m doing the sa thing.] Roxanna sighed. [Sotis I feel like I’m no different from my ex.]

"Isn’t a relationship built on mutual need?" Azul suddenly said sothing that surprised Roxanna.

"I... I’m not sure," she replied hesitantly.

Azul sighed, holding Roxanna’s hands more tightly. "At least in our relationship, isn’t it the sa? You need us, and we need you too."
