Roxanna felt sick, but she still forced herself to follow Aelin and Zeir to check the soil in the Vixeria settlent.

At first, they planned to use Aelin’s magic to see how fertile the soil was. But suddenly, the system gave her a new feature.

[As a reward for Host’s effort in extending your lifespan, the system has unlocked new features to support your life!]

[The system can now detect things that are useful for your well-being!]

Roxanna blinked in surprise. She didn’t expect the system to finally be useful instead of always telling her to mate with her husbands.

[Can you tell which soil is fertile and which is not?] Roxanna asked.

The system answered right away. [Of course, Host! You only need to take a sample of the soil, and the system will test it for you!]

As soon as she got the answer, Roxanna quickly walked over to Zeir and Aelin, who were collecting soil samples near the well.

"Zeir, Zeir, I think I can help find fertile soil faster," Roxanna said with a small smile, even though she still felt dizzy.

"Really?" Zeir asked in a low voice. "Is it because of the voice in your head?"

Roxanna nodded, but quickly stopped when her head started spinning again.

"Mhm..." She leaned closer and whispered so Aelin wouldn’t hear. "It said it will help live better, as a reward because I’ve been trying hard to extend my lifespan."

"What are you two talking about?" Aelin suddenly asked when she noticed them whispering.

Roxanna jolted in surprised and stamred, "O-Oh, it’s about—"

"My wife has the ability to detect good soil," Zeir cut her off so Aelin wouldn’t suspect anything. After all, it was better if only Roxanna’s husbands knew about the system. "And there is a possibility that her ability is more accurate than yours, Miss Aelin."

Even though Zeir didn’t an any harm, Roxanna was sure so people might find his words offensive. But fortunately, Aelin didn’t seem to mind at all. Instead, she looked very excited.

"Really?!" She imdiately approached Roxanna and took her hands. "You can really detect fertile soil accurately?"

Roxanna pressed her lips together and nodded slightly. "Yes... I suppose so."

"How does it work?" Aelin asked, her eyes sparkling with curiousity.

Roxanna hesitated for a mont because she had never tried it before. Luckily, the system spoke up. [You only need to touch the soil or anything you want to check, Host!]

"Umm... I just need to touch the soil," she said carefully. "Then I can feel whether it’s good or not."

Aelin’s eyes widened even more. "Feel it? That’s amazing!"

For so reason, Roxanna really thought that Aelin acted like a child who was always amazed by new things. But of course, she couldn’t bla her, since there weren’t many things to see back in the Golden Mountain.

"Alright then... let try," Roxanna said softly.

She was about to bend down, but Zeir stopped her and said, "Don’t bend down. Your head will get more dizzy, and your stomach might hurt."

Then he added, his voice softer, "Let get the soil for you."

Zeir crouched down, gathered so soil, and placed it carefully on a wide leaf before handing it to Roxanna.

Roxanna took the leaf from his hand, her fingers brushing lightly against his for a mont. "Thank you," she said softly.

Zeir gave a small nod, but his eyes stayed on her, watching closely in case she felt worse.

Roxanna looked down at the soil and took a deep breath. [Test this.]

[Testing...]

[Result: dium fertility. Can be used for planting, but needs improvent.]

She blinked, then lifted her head. "This one is... okay. It can be used, but it’s not the best."...

Aelin leaned closer right away, her expression serious now. "Not the best? What does it lack?"

Roxanna paused for a mont before answering, "It needs more nutrients. But aside from the soil itself, I think this place is too close to the well. I’m worried the tribe people might accidentally damage the plants later."

She hesitated a little, then added, "So... maybe we should look for a better spot. Sowhere more fertile."

Aelin nodded right away, clearly agreeing with her. "You’re right. We shouldn’t risk it."

"Then let’s keep checking," Zeir said calmly.

Roxanna gave a small nod and followed them.

They moved from one place to another, testing the soil around the Vixeria Tribe. Near the huts, near the trees, even along the edges of the settlent, but none of them felt right. So were too dry, so were too hard, and so simply didn’t have enough nutrients.

Each ti, Roxanna would take the soil, quietly ask the system, and give her answer.

[Low fertility.]

[Not suitable.]

[Needs improvent.]

After a while, even Aelin began to frown. "This is strange... I thought at least a few places would be good enough."

Roxanna wiped the sweat from her forehead, her body starting to feel heavier, but she still forced herself to keep going.

"Let’s check one more area," she said softly.

Zeir glanced at her, a little worried, but didn’t stop her. Instead, he guided her as they walked toward a quieter part of the tribe—or more precisely, behind the Black Hut.

Since that place was only used to hold prisoners, the atmosphere there wasn’t very pleasant. However, when Roxanna glanced at the small hut nearby, her cheeks turned red as she rembered her steamy night with Zeir there.

Roxanna quickly looked away, trying to calm herself because now was not the ti to think about that.

Roxanna cleared her throat and nodded, forcing herself to focus again.

"Wait," Zeir said. He crouched down and picked up so soil for Roxanna. "Here you go."

[Test this.]

[Testing...]

[Result: High fertility. Excellent for planting.]

Her eyes widened slightly. "This one..." she said, lifting her gaze, "this one is very good."

Aelin imdiately stepped closer, her expression bright. "Really?!"

Roxanna nodded. "Yes. It’s rich, and the structure is much better than the others."

Aelin crouched down and touched the ground herself, her excitent clear. "You’re right... this soil feels alive."

While Aelin looked very excited, Zeir and Roxanna both fell silent because the Black Hut held too many bitter mories of the evil Roxanna in the past.

It seed that most of the people in the Vixeria Tribe had once been locked up there. Because of that, if Roxanna asked them to farm nearby, she might unknowingly bring back their nightmares.

[I don’t even like looking at that creepy place.] Roxanna rubbed her arms, feeling a chill run through her body. [If this were a modern world, it would probably be on a top ten horror list.]

To be honest, she didn’t even want to step inside the Black Hut and Zeir... seed to feel the sa way.

"Before we turn this place into a farm..." Zeir said slowly, his eyes on the hut, "how about we destroy it?"

Roxanna was about to answer, but Aelin spoke up, "Ah, why? I thought we could also use that place for hydroponics? I an... yeah, the soil here is good enough, but—"

She paused when she noticed the silence between them. "—Did I say sothing wrong?"

Roxanna looked at the Black Hut for a mont before speaking. "It’s not wrong... but that place..." Her voice softened. "It holds bad mories for a lot of people."

Aelin blinked, then slowly turned to look at the hut again. This ti, her expression changed. "Oh..."

After a while, she spoke again, her voice softer. "But you know... even a bad place can beco sothing useful if you change its purpose. I an, most places in the Golden Mountain are creepy too, but since we started using them for better things, they don’t feel that scary anymore."

Roxanna stayed silent, her gaze still fixed on the Black Hut. After a mont, she let out a heavy sigh. "Yeah, you’re right. This place is actually too good to be destroyed, but..."

She glanced at Zeir from the corner of her eye. He looked tense, like he was being dragged back into that place against his will.

Roxanna’s expression softened a little. "But there’s a difference between a place that feels creepy... and a place that hurts people," she said gently. "If this building is going to bring more harm than good, then... I want to destroy it."

Besides, she didn’t want any of her husbands to suffer because of this place. And if needed, she could ask the people of the Vixeria Tribe to build sothing new, sothing completely different from the Black Hut.

"We can build sothing better," she said softly. "Sothing no one will be afraid of."

Zeir t her gaze for a mont, then gave a small nod. "Alright."

Aelin smiled when she heard that. "If we’re building sothing new, then I can help design it!"

Roxanna couldn’t help but smile a little. "But before that happens, how about we try planting so vegetable seeds now?"
