"You’re sick!" Luan was the first to react. He quickly grabbed a fresh set of clothes for Roxanna and brought her to Aelin’s temporary bedroom. anwhile, Calen went to fetch more water from the well because logically, there was no way Roxanna’s skin wouldn’t burn if she bathed using only boiling water. Cyrus made warm soup for her, while Zeir stacked two mattresses together so her body wouldn’t ache while she rested.

Azul wanted to help, but all of them only glared at him, as if they were saying that if their wife didn’t recover soon, they would bla him for it. But Azul only shrugged, silently implying that being a fish was not a sin.

"Alright, why don’t you find Aelin instead?" Zeir finally said to neutralize the situation between them. "I know Roxanna has a great healing ability, but now that she keeps sneezing, it ans sothing is wrong with her healing ability. It might also have sothing to do with her pregnancy."

Without saying anything, Azul only nodded and imdiately went to find Aelin. These days, she had been spending a lot of ti with Skiv, probably because the little boy was so excited to learn about poison, which made Aelin excited as well.

"Alright, I’m sorry!" Azul shouted again. "I just ca to get Aelin because Roxanna got sick. She keeps sneezing, maybe because we spent too much ti near the river. Can you co check on her?"

The mont Aelin heard that, she stopped everything at once. She turned to Skiv and said, "Alright, that’s it for today. Let’s put all of this away in the safe box, and rember—"

Aelin nodded with a small smile. "That’s right. You really are a good student!"

Skiv smiled proudly. After all, Aelin was the only one who always praised him like that.

After making sure all the dangerous materials were safely locked inside a box, Aelin stepped out of the hut and removed her cloth mask. "Alright, let’s head back."

As they walked side by side, Azul accidentally noticed her opening a small book that she kept in her little pouch.

"What’s that?" Azul asked, curious.

"This?" Aelin held it up slightly. "It’s a notebook. I use it to keep track of what I’ve been teaching Skiv."

Azul frowned a little. "No, I an... what’s that? The strange thing on top of the notebook?"
