Now reading: Chapter 66: A Family’s First Prayer from I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!, a Fantasy novel by Zenanicher.

She had no idea whether the God in this world was the sa as the one from her previous world or not. That was why Roxanna chose to pray to the universe instead, hoping that sowhere out there, a God would still hear her prayer.

"In this world, we treasure the life of a newborn with all our hearts," Azul said gently.

Just a while ago, Zeir and Cyrus had finally pulled him out of the well and let him join their prayer circle. The other husbands still looked at him bitterly, but none of them dared to insult him or try drowning the fish again.

"So many lives are lost every day," Azul continued softly, "so the arrival of a baby is a blessing for all of us. That’s why we hope our child grows strong inside our wife’s womb, and when the ti cos, that she won’t suffer during the birth."

They continued praying for a while longer, most of their prayers asking that Roxanna would stay safe, and nothing bad would ever happen to her.

After they finished praying together, Roxanna’s stomach suddenly growled loudly, loud enough for everyone to clearly hear it.

Her cheeks flushed bright red. Being caught hungry like that was embarrassing enough, but in front of all her husbands?

Well, of course she was starving!

She had chased Calen through the night, and then mated with him until noon. Even though her body no longer ached and her legs didn’t tremble anymore, the hunger still refused to go away.

And there was also sothing else that had been bothering her, probably because her body still hadn’t fully recovered after using up so much energy, and she still hadn’t had the chance to eat.

[Actually... this animal-skin dress feels really uncomfortable,] Roxanna sighed inwardly. [The fabric is so rough, and since Calen played with my nipples too much, they still feel sore whenever the cloth rubs against them.]

All of her husbands slowly turned their gazes toward Calen, their eyes sharp enough to kill. If looks could kill, Calen would have died ten tis already.

"I—I’ll go hunt so boars for you!" Calen blurted out, slowly backing away from the circle before anyone decided to hang him from a tree. "Don’t worry, Cyrus will cook them for you. After all... we had a very long night. Even longer than Azul!"

"You bastard!" Luan snapped, scooping up pebbles from the ground and throwing them at Calen one after another.

Calen ran faster than the pebbles flying after him, so Luan couldn’t hit him even once.

Roxanna, on the other hand, could only shake her head. It really felt like their bickering would never end.

"Why is the bed so small?" Roxanna asked the system the mont she saw the size displayed on the panel.

The bed was only 120×200. That size was perfect for one person, but she had five husbands, so if she wanted all of them to sleep comfortably, she needed a much bigger bed.

[Or you could just buy five separate beds for them, Host,] the system suggested.

Roxanna walked back and forth behind their hut, thinking hard, while Cyrus tended the fire and the others washed the mammoth fur for the second ti.

"But five beds will take up too much space," she muttered, folding her arms and resting one hand on her cheek. "I could ask them to expand the hut... but that’s not the real problem right now."

Now that Roxanna had learned that the settlent was surrounded by new Voids, she started thinking about how to properly protect the entire area.

The Vixeria Tribe had many strong warriors, but they would eventually beco exhausted if they had to keep fighting demon beasts every day.

After all, she wanted to create a safe place for her children—Oh wait. Children?

Roxanna’s face imdiately grew warm. She suddenly realized this child might not be her last.

Yes, the system had a potion to prevent pregnancy. But soday, she would want more children. She wanted each of her husbands to have a little version of themselves, and since her current body healed so quickly, childbirth might be easier than it was for human won.

Alright then, since she would probably have at least five children—maybe more... who knew—she really did need to strengthen the settlent.

"Roxanna, what are you doing?"

She turned around when she heard soone call her na. It was Luan, walking toward her with several apples in his hands.

"Ah, nothing," Roxanna said softly. "Just thinking about a few things."

Luan handed her two apples. "Here. Eat these first. That dog is taking too long to hunt boars."

But Calen had only left less than thirty minutes ago, so he really wasn’t taking that long.

"Thank you," she said as she accepted the apples. As she did, she felt Luan’s fingers brush lightly against her palm. It wasn’t obvious, but Roxanna knew he had done it on purpose.

Still, it wasn’t unpleasant, so she didn’t complain.

[Despite his bad temper, Luan is really gentle and caring toward ,] Roxanna thought with a soft smile as she looked at him. [And he has such cute dimples on his cheeks.]

Once again, the "cute man" she was referring to was a six-foot-tall man with a scar across one eye.

Actually, Roxanna was curious. Why did Luan have a scar when beastkins could heal so quickly? Even Calen didn’t have a single lingering mark despite being abused by his forr master.

"Do you want to tell what you’re thinking about?" Luan asked. "Maybe I can help."

Roxanna hesitated for a mont, then finally nodded. "Alright... it’s about the settlent. Do you think we could move sowhere else? Maybe we could find a safer place, one without Voids?"

It would be painful to leave this place after they had worked so hard to dig the well and fixed their huts, but if staying ant risking their lives, then maybe leaving was the right choice.

Luan let out a tired sigh. "I don’t think that would really help," he said honestly. "Even if we moved, the Voids could still appear anywhere since we never know where they’ll show up next."
