They then decided to sit in the living room, and Roxanna asked Luan to explain the Black Beast Crystal he had ntioned to her earlier.

It took so ti for him to finish, but thankfully, all of her husbands were able to understand it in the end. Still, understanding what the Black Crystal was one thing and actually figuring out how to get one were two completely different things.

"Have you ever seen a Demon Fenrir before?" Azul asked, narrowing his eyes slightly.

"I have, but only from afar," Luan replied, clearing his throat. "I was still very young back then, so my brother wouldn’t let get close."

"I see." Azul let out a sigh. "At least you’ve seen one. I’ve never seen it at all."

Roxanna blinked several tis, a little confused. At first, she thought Azul was trying to insult Luan, but it turned out he was just honestly asking.

She had honestly expected her husbands to think the idea was insane, and that killing a Demon Fenrir would be unbelievably foolish.

But... sohow, it didn’t.

They all looked so calm.

[Why are they all so calm about this?!] Roxanna panicked inside. [Do they really think killing a Demon Fenrir isn’t a stupid idea?]

Not long after, Calen finally spoke. "Of course, it won’t be easy," he added. "A Demon Fenrir’s nest is so dark that any light around it just disappears into the darkness."

At last, soone who understood how serious this was.

"But we can still try," Calen added a mont later. "The Demon Fenrir I t in the cursed forest had only just reached the final stage of its evolution, so it was still a bit fragile. I believe we still have a chance to kill one like that."

"How do we tell the difference between a demon beast that’s newly evolved and one that’s already been in that stage for a long ti?" Roxanna asked.

That information was still very blurry to her, and if she could clearly tell the difference between demon beasts, it would really help them.

Calen went silent for a mont, thinking hard. "I’m not completely sure, but sohow I just know." His expression turned complicated. "There’s this tingling feeling whenever I’m near demon wolves, Fenrir, or other beasts like that—"

"Dog type?" Luan interrupted.

"Yes. Probably," he replied. "What I an is... that tingling feeling tells which demon beasts are weak and which ones are truly strong. It also lets know which ones are still fragile, and which ones are already as solid as stone."

"You never told us about this before," Zeir said, watching Calen with a doubtful look.

Calen just shrugged. "Well... none of you ever asked. Besides, we rarely talked to each other back then, didn’t we?"

All of them imdiately went silent, glancing at one another from the corners of their eyes.

Back then, the evil Roxanna never stopped disturbing their peaceful lives. Every single day, she would find a way to bother at least one of them.

And when that happened, the others would quickly distance themselves because they didn’t want to get involved. They still spoke to each other sotis, but most of those conversations were just complaints about how annoying and disgusting Roxanna was.

Azul even ended up making friends with the crocodiles because he ranted so much, and the other husbands were already sick of hearing it.

The only ti they imdiately united and ran into the cursed forest was when they heard that the evil Roxanna had thrown Azul into the Mushy Lake.

And none of them expected that from that day on, they would slowly grow closer and closer, as if sothing had wrapped an invisible thread around them and gently pulled them together.

It was Roxanna.

Without knowing when it started, her presence had slowly softened the walls inside their hearts. She was like a warm fire in the middle of winter, sothing they had never thought they needed, yet now couldn’t live without.

And before they knew it, they were no longer just n living under the sa roof, but they were slowly becoming a family in just a few days.

"We can talk more now, right?" Azul said carefully. "I an... maybe we could set a ti each day just to sit and talk?"

"You’ve already talked more than enough since the beginning, haven’t you?" Luan replied, clicking his tongue a few tis. "I don’t think you need extra ti for that."

"Luan, that’s rude," Roxanna said gently, giving him a warning look.

She honestly had no idea why her husbands were being so an to each other today—well, except for Zeir and Cyrus, who were still calm as always.

[Could pregnancy hormones affect husbands too?] Roxanna wondered to herself. [I’ve heard so fathers get moody as well...]

And since there were five fathers here, their moods might beco even worse. Roxanna decided she should listen to them more carefully from now on, because their current behavior might be the result of jealousy and other emotions.

"Sorry, I didn’t an it that way," Luan finally said. Then he quickly changed the subject. "So, Calen, what do you think is the best way for us to kill that Demon Fenrir?"

Calen rested his chin on his hand, thinking seriously for a mont.

"Even though the Demon Fenrir I found was still fragile, it was still very dangerous. So we should prepare our weapons first," Calen said seriously. "So first, we need to prepare our weapons. And it would be better if we also made poisoned arrows to weaken it."

He added, "I know a few poisons that work well on Demon Beasts like that... but we’ll have to go back into the cursed forest to get them."

"I think Luan and I can gather the poison plants," Cyrus suddenly spoke up, his voice calm as always. "Just tell what they look like."

"What? Why ?" Luan asked in confusion.

Cyrus explained, "Because I can search for the poison plants from above, while you can look for them on the ground. And I know you’re the best at finding small things."
