As Xia Liang replied, he scanned the area and saw a woman in a flight attendant's uniform gracefully walking toward him. Seeing that she was a flight attendant, Xia Liang got out of the car to wait. As she drew closer, he found himself stunned by her beauty.
She was tall and slender, with an exquisite, oval-shaped face. Her nose was straight but lacked the exaggerated look of an internet celebrity, and her full lips, paired with large, round eyes, made her look incredibly cute.
When the flight attendant saw Xia Liang, however, her expression turned to one of even greater surprise. Her pace quickened, and a bright smile blood on her face. As soon as she was close enough, she spoke.
"Hey! It really is you! I thought the driver's photo looked familiar! Xia Liang, long ti no see!"
This beautiful flight attendant had called out his full na. It surprised him, as he knew the ride-hailing app only displayed the driver's surna. She called by my full na, so she must know ! But for the life of , I can't rember who this flight attendant is.
As Xia Liang puzzled over this, the flight attendant stopped right in front of him. Wearing high heels, she was nearly as tall as Xia Liang, who stood at a respectable 1.83 ters. It's rare for a woman to be this tall, even in heels. But even standing face-to-face, I still can't place her.
Seeing his confused expression, the flight attendant must have guessed he didn't recognize her. She didn't seem to mind in the slightest. Instead, she smiled and patted his shoulder.
"What's wrong? It's only been a few years, and our Handso Xia has already forgotten his old fla?" she asked, tilting her head and pretending to be sad.
"Old fla? What are you talking about? Wait... old fla, surna Wu... You're Wu Lan!"
"Bingo! You got it! Your prize is getting to put my luggage away for ! I'm exhausted!"
Without a hint of reservation, Wu Lan handed the suitcase handle to Xia Liang. He smiled and took it from her.
"I honestly didn't recognize you. My apologies, my apologies. Please, get in the car!"
He placed her luggage in the trunk, making sure it was secure and wouldn't slide around during the drive, then returned to the driver's seat. The mont he sat down, Wu Lan spoke up.
"Xia Liang! So, what are you going to do to make up for not recognizing ?"
Seeing her playfully pouting expression, Xia Liang smiled as mories from long ago surfaced. Wu Lan had been his deskmate in junior high school.
Back then, Xia Liang wasn't much of a student. But he excelled in one area: he was handso. As luck would have it, his class had far more girls than boys. To prevent puppy love from blossoming, the horoom teacher deliberately placed Wu Lan next to him, because at the ti, Wu Lan was not what you would call pretty. One might have even called her a bit plain. However, she was the top student in their class.
Xia Liang wasn't one to judge by appearances, and he got along very well with the Wu Lan of back then. Their friendship grew so close that the entire class assud they were a couple. They even joked that while other couples were a perfect match of a talented man and a beautiful woman, they were the reverse: a talented woman and a handso man. But the two of them knew there was nothing more than friendship between them.
