Her tense heart finally relaxed. She smiled back at Xia Liang before looking down at the world below. The sight filled her with a surging excitent, as if she were riding the clouds and commanding the mists.
As the screams faded, the Windfire Wheel gradually slowed down, coming to a gentle stop on the ground.
"That was so much fun, Auntie! Were you scared at all?" As if rembering sothing, Little Tangtang hurriedly waddled over to Wen Qiong.
"Fun? I wonder who it was that closed their eyes the mont we flew into the air," Xia Liang teased, rcilessly exposing her.
"I was just feeling the freedom of the wind! You have no sentintality at all, Uncle Xia," Little Tangtang retorted, glaring at him as she quickly defended herself.
"She's right, the wind up there was very comfortable," Wen Qiong said, wanting to change the subject. It was nearly noon, and she was also worried that Little Tangtang might be hungry. "Little Tangtang, are you hungry? Do you want to get sothing to eat?"
At the ntion of food, Little Tangtang touched her stomach. "Auntie, I think I am a little hungry."
Hearing this, Xia Liang looked at them and said, "Then I'll take you two to get a bite to eat."
After they both nodded, Xia Liang scooped up Little Tangtang and said to Wen Qiong, "Let's go." With that, they headed toward the snack area.
"Uncle Xia, wait! I saw sothing," Little Tangtang suddenly called out as they walked past a grove of trees, spotting sothing shiny in the bushes.
"What is it?" Xia Liang asked, putting Little Tangtang down and straightening his clothes.
By then, Little Tangtang had already grabbed Wen Qiong's hand and was running toward the spot.
"Ah, it's a watch," Little Tangtang said, a mix of disappointnt and concern in her voice as she got a closer look. "The person who lost it must be really worried."
"I wonder who it was," Wen Qiong mused, crouching beside her. She saw the watch was a Rolex Datejust 116244 with a silver commorative pattern, which struck her as a bit odd. She glanced up and down the path but didn't see anyone looking for sothing.
Xia Liang walked over, and after hearing them, he also scanned the area. He soon spotted a teenager, about fifteen or sixteen years old, diagonally across from them, ticulously combing through the grass for sothing.
"Uncle Xia, can we help the watch find its owner, please?" Little Tangtang asked, running over to hug him.
Xia Liang had his doubts upon hearing her childish words; after all, it wasn't the kind of watch a young boy would own. Still, he smiled and pointed toward the teenager.
Following his finger, Little Tangtang saw a young man at the edge of the lawn, frantically digging through the grass with a look of desperation on his face. An idea sparked in her mind, and she quickly ran over to him.
"Big Brother, what are you looking for? Do you need so help?"
The boy, who had been concentrating on his search, was startled. He looked up to see an exquisitely beautiful little girl who looked just like a doll. He was taken aback for a mont before giving a bitter smile.
"I'm looking for my dad's watch. He's... he's gone now, and I've lost the watch he left ." Then he added, "Where are your parents? It's not safe for you to be alone. You should stay with an adult, you know."
Xia Liang and Wen Qiong had been worried when Little Tangtang ran off by herself, but hearing the boy's concerned words put them at ease.
"What does your watch look like? We'll help you look for it," Wen Qiong asked, hiding the watch she held behind her back as she and Xia Liang approached.
The teenager turned quickly. Seeing the two of them walking over, he looked both surprised and anxious. He knew how valuable his watch was and understood that anyone who found it would likely be tempted to keep it.
"Uncle Xia," Little Tangtang said, running to his side as he and Wen Qiong arrived.
When the boy saw that the little girl knew the couple and judged from their appearance that they didn't seem to be short on money, he spoke up hesitantly. "It's a silver Rolex."
As soon as Xia Liang, who was now holding Little Tangtang, heard this, he turned to Wen Qiong. "It's his. Go ahead and give it to him."
Wen Qiong nodded and handed the watch to the teenager.
The boy was overco with gratitude. He had feared that the only nto his late father had left him was gone forever, and he never expected such a wonderful surprise. He imdiately bowed deeply to all three of them.
"Thank you. Thank you all so much."
"It's nothing, really. Just a small act of kindness," Xia Liang said with a wave of his hand, hearing the boy's voice tremble on the verge of tears. He then picked Little Tangtang back up and said to Wen Qiong, "Let's go get you two sothing to eat."
"Yay, yay! Goodbye, Big Brother!" Little Tangtang cried out eagerly, her hunger returning at the ntion of food.
The three of them then continued on their way to the snack area.
"Little Tangtang, Wen Qiong, what do you want to eat?" Xia Liang asked, feeling a bit overwheld by the dazzling array of food stalls.
"Uncle Xia, can I have so ice cream?" Little Tangtang asked, swallowing hard as she watched other children walk by with their frozen treats.
Seeing her expression, Wen Qiong felt a pang of pity but knew she had to refuse. "Little Tangtang, kids can't eat ice cream on an empty stomach. How about Auntie buys you so after you've had sothing else to eat, okay?"
Seeing Little Tangtang hesitate, Xia Liang chid in. "Little Tangtang, look! They have grilled sausages and corn over there. Do you want so?"
This imdiately captured Little Tangtang's full attention. "So, we eat grilled sausage and corn first, and then we get ice cream, okay?" she bargained, shaking Xia Liang's arm.
"Of course," Xia Liang replied. Her pleading look was so adorable that he couldn't resist pinching her cheek.
Hearing his promise, Little Tangtang turned to Wen Qiong, blinking her big eyes expectantly.
Wen Qiong laughed. "Little Tangtang, you're being shalessly cute!"
