His gaze swept over the area, noticing a faint golden aura flowing throughout. It was clearly a high-end community, though still a far cry from his own villa. The sound of birds and the fragrance of flowers filled the air. Every possible space, aside from the houses and roads, had been beautifully landscaped, filling the air with a fresh scent. In the center of the community was a luxurious swimming pool, decorative rockeries, and a small playground.
It was no surprise that such a place, with Feng Shui that gathered wind and harbored water, was ho to a host of tycoons.
Just then, the roar of an engine sounded from behind him. A sleek Porsche Macan pulled up beside Xia Liang.
"Excuse , do you know where Building 9, Block B is?"
Inside the car was a young, lightly dressed woman. Her long hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and she radiated a youthful energy.
"Building 9, Block B?" Xia Liang frowned. Isn't that right next to my villa? He rembered seeing the villa's location in Gao Hesheng's mind when he received the key card the day before.
"It's right next to my place," Xia Liang said with a smile.
The young woman's eyes lit up. "Could you show the way?"
"Of course," Xia Liang nodded. He was heading ho anyway, so when she gestured, he got right into the passenger seat.
He gave her a quick glance, a teasing smile playing on his lips. "Xu Wanying?"
The woman was startled. "You know ?"
Xia Liang shook his head, still smiling. "For soone so directionally challenged, you've got so serious guts to drive all the way from Jianglan City to Qingyun City!" He gave her a thumbs-up.
Xu Wanying was even more astonished. Then Xia Liang added, "Also, you shouldn't let strange n get into your car so easily in the future. Even if you've studied so self-defense, won are at a natural disadvantage when it cos to strength."
At this, Xia Liang gave Xu Wanying a wicked grin. "You're lucky I'm a decent and respectable guy. If I were a bad person, I have at least nine ways to make you submit."
SCREECH!
The harsh sound of brakes suddenly filled the air.
Xu Wanying stared with wide eyes. "Who in the world are you? How do you know so much about ?"
