"C drive, antique materials folder, college appraisal content."

"Enough!" Chu Lingmu interrupted Xia Liang, her face turning slightly red.

"Alright, let's go eat. I haven't been here before."

With a smile, the three of them headed towards the hotel entrance. Before they had taken more than a few steps, Fang Youxue suddenly rembered that Xia Liang had gone to the pharmacy to buy a bottle of Quick-acting heart-saving pills when they left the appraisal.

She asked, "By the way, Brother Xia, why did you buy the Heart-Saving Pills? Don't tell you have a heart condition?"

"I bought this dicine, but not for myself."

With that indifferent remark, Xia Liang didn't elaborate, simply taking out the pills and holding them in his hand. Seeing this, Fang Youxue seed to understand sothing and nodded, leaving only Chu Lingmu confused. When she asked again, neither of them gave her a direct answer.

anwhile, a commotion suddenly erupted at the hotel entrance. Many staff mbers crowded around, uncertain of what had happened. Xia Liang and his companions entered the hotel at that mont.

"It seems like soone's had an accident," Chu Lingmu said, pausing for a mont. However, she knew she lacked any first-aid knowledge and would likely be more of a hindrance than a help, so she kept walking.

The trio continued toward the interior of the hotel. As they passed the crowd, Xia Liang casually tossed the Heart-Saving Pills into the throng. He didn't break his stride, already reaching the stairs and starting to climb.

"What are you doing?"

Though filled with surprise, Chu Lingmu saw the other two ascending and had no choice but to follow.

It was then that Xia Liang slowly spoke. "A national hero has been saved."

Upon hearing this, Chu Lingmu froze. All her earlier doubts seed to be resolved in an instant.

Could it be he bought the Heart-Saving Pills in advance because he knew soone here would have an accident? And it seems he even knew this person he'd never t was a national hero? Such divining ability is terrifying. Chu Lingmu clicked her tongue in disbelief.

Even Fang Youxue, who had so inkling, was visibly shaken.

Xia Liang simply nodded in acknowledgnt. Throughout the entire process, he had never paused. He had just tossed the dicine into the panicked crowd as he passed, without even a sideways glance.

He had just saved a person's life. Yet, Xia Liang acted as if the event wasn't worth a second thought. It was as if saving a life was, to him, a trivial effort.

The image of a profound and unfathomable master instantly took root in the minds of Fang Youxue and Chu Lingmu. To heal the sick and save a life with a single gesture... it was like a mortal performing the work of an immortal.

Gazing at the crowd below, Chu Lingmu's eyes seed to sparkle. "To do a good deed and walk away, hiding one's na and achievents."

"Xiao Xue, how about you share him with , fifty-fifty?"

"No way!" Fang Youxue shot back, shaking her head vehently. She hadn't even secured him for herself yet.

...

「At that sa ti, at the hotel entrance.」

"Why isn't the car here yet!" a roar of anger emanated from the crowd.

An elderly man was surrounded by people while his son tried to perform ergency first aid, though with little effect. The old man's face was turning pale, and he was struggling to breathe.

"Mr. Li, our people have already gone to the parking lot. Your car will be here any mont, it's just that..." The manager paused, not needing to finish.

Everyone present understood what he ant. The nearest hospital was at least a ten-minute drive away. A patient suffering a sudden heart attack couldn't wait that long.

"A hotel this big, and you don't even have basic dicine on hand? What, do you all eat shit for a living?!" the middle-aged man yelled while performing CPR, his eyes brimming with tears. Why, of all tis, were they out of dicine now?

"This is our fault," the manager said, filled with regret. Normally, their hotel was stocked with various dicines, but they had run out a few days ago. He was supposed to send soone to restock them today but had been delayed. And now, this had happened.

So of the female employees had already started praying. Under these circumstances, only an immortal could save the old man.

Suddenly, CLINK.

One of the praying employees opened her eyes and found a bottle of Quick-acting heart-saving pills lying quietly at her feet.

「In a private room of the hotel.」

"The food here is indeed good. Looks like I can co here more often," Xia Liang couldn't help but remark after taking a bite of a dish. The food here was truly incomparable to what he ate at the psychiatric hospital.

"Of course. You have no idea how expensive these dishes are," Chu Lingmu pouted, clearly pained by the cost.

There were only six dishes in front of the three of them, but with the addition of so expensive liquor, the bill had already run over two thousand yuan.

"You look like you're in pain just thinking about it," Fang Youxue said with a helpless smile. "Alright, alright, I'll get the bill later, how about that?"

"That won't do," Chu Lingmu quickly refused. "I promised to treat you both today. How could I let you pay?"

Watching the two of them, Xia Liang took out the pen he had borrowed from the lobby manager and started scribbling sothing on a napkin.

While the two won were still joking and chatting, a figure passing by the private room suddenly stopped, letting out a sound of surprise. Then, the figure walked straight into the room with a confident swagger.

Just then, Xia Liang finished his last bite of food and murmured softly, Trouble's here.

Having used the System on Chu Lingmu earlier, Xia Liang already knew what was about to happen.

"It really is Mumu! Soone told you were here, and I didn't believe them. Why co here to eat without calling ? I could have arranged everything for you!"

The newcor was a potbellied man in his thirties, covered in flab and clutching a briefcase. He was clearly the type who threw his weight around, backed by either money or shady connections.

Upon entering, he walked straight toward Chu Lingmu as if Xia Liang and Fang Youxue didn't exist, though he couldn't help but glance sideways as he passed Fang Youxue. Xia Liang, however, seated between the two won, was completely ignored.

"Why are you here? You aren't welco." Seeing this man, Chu Lingmu's brows furrowed, displeasure written all over her face.

"Mumu, who is this guy?" Fang Youxue asked, quite puzzled.

"His na is Li Chao. He used to send a lot of gifts, but I'm not interested in him. He's been harassing ever since I rejected him." After explaining to Fang Youxue, Chu Lingmu turned her gaze back to Li Chao. "I've said it before, I'm not interested in you. I'm here eating with my friends today, so don't co looking for trouble."

Worry filled Chu Lingmu's eyes. Li Chao was a developer in Shu City who also ran several gray-area industries and had connections in the governnt. People he set his sights on usually didn't end well.

"How am I looking for trouble? I'm here to make friends." Li Chao slowly ambled over to the dining table and stood behind Xia Liang, who was still eating, his expression as serene as water.

Li Chao clapped Xia Liang on the shoulder. "Kid, move over. I want to sit here and chat with Mumu."

But Xia Liang acted as if he hadn't heard a thing. He continued eating and even poured himself another glass of wine.

"Kid, are you deaf? I told you to get lost!"

"Courting death."

At this, Xia Liang just shook his head and sighed.

The words had barely left Li Chao's mouth when Xia Liang drained his cup and, in one swift backhanded motion, smashed it across Li Chao's face.

CRACK.

The hotel's wine glass was thick, but it shattered instantly upon impact.

Almost in a flash, Li Chao's face was covered in blood.
