Sherly ca to Ethan’s office for the second ti. She inford him that all representatives from the core mber guilds of the Eastern Alliance had arrived.
It was not even ten in the morning, yet they had all shown up in response to Ethan’s invitation.
Food and drinks were prepared for them, since the discussion within the alliance would be heavy and lengthy.
"All right."
Ethan organized the docunts he would bring and began putting on his officer’s robe over his uniform.
Sherly walked alongside Ethan, while Hissy stayed in Ashley’s office, relaxing there.
The two of them went down to the first floor. The guards opened the doors and allowed Ethan to enter.
When the guests saw Ethan step inside, they imdiately stopped eating and stood up to welco him.
Even though Ethan’s guests were guild leaders, they were nothing compared to LionArk.
"Greetings to Sir Ethan," they all said in unison.
Ethan smiled and returned the greeting with a nod, then sat down on his throne-like chair. Sherly and the other officers stood beside him, facing the invited guests.
"I thank you all for coming as I requested," Ethan said with a smile.
"We feel honored to be invited by an S-rank guild like LionArk. Please guide us, Sir Ethan," said Noah, the Guild Leader of Trident Sea.
The man nodded. Before moving on to the core topic such as the Guild of Champions Event, Ethan needed to ask about the condition of each mber’s city.
Ayaka, the Guild Leader of Yotsuba, explained the current situation in Kuniko City.
Thanks to the security support and strategies provided by Ethan, the cri rate caused by Shadow Guild had dropped drastically.
Not only that, many cities experienced similar improvents, especially those that had been targeted by Shadow Guild.
"After information about the pre-event surfaced, Shadow Guild’s activities decreased," said Gregor, the Guild Leader of Star Shield.
"That’s good. For the ti being, regional stability is gradually recovering and becoming more secure," Kevin added.
"However, I’m worried that if we focus too much on the Guild War Event, it might threaten city stability," Noah said.
Ethan nodded, listening to all of their opinions. Those concerns were not theirs alone. Ethan had been thinking the sa thing.
If Mavelard City were to lose its strongest guardians, what would happen? That was what constantly occupied Ethan’s mind besides the Guild of Champions Event.
"The reason I called all of you here is to discuss two important matters: the Guild of Champions Event and city security during the event."
All attention turned toward Ethan. He had many points to discuss, but he condensed them into just two main topics.
Ethan turned his head. To begin, he asked Sherly to start her presentation about the Guild of Champions, previously known as the Guild War.
However, the concept was now clearly different. In the past, Guild War followed an MMORPG concept focused on defending a fortress, with battles conducted in 5v5 formats.
Now, the administrators introduced a different concept, one that was purely RTS. Teams were required to defend cities, manage resources, build armies, and attack other cities.
This was far more complex than a typical MMORPG. It required strategy, careful planning, and precise calculations of resources and troops.
Sherly explained everything clearly and in detail, making it easier for every guild leader to understand her presentation.
They actually already knew about these requirents, but they had not yet fully considered or analyzed them in depth.
The explanation Sherly delivered was a summary of what Ethan had written for her. In short, what Sherly presented was the result of Ethan’s ideas.
"Single guild participants and guild alliance participants?" Kevin asked.
"Correct," Ethan replied.
"These two types of participants are clearly different, both in terms of advantages and disadvantages."
"Single guild participants have easier coordination, since everyone cos from the sa guild. The drawback is that they require large resources."
"Guild alliances require fewer resources because they are shared among alliance mbers. The drawback is the risk of internal conflict."
"I’m not forcing you to participate in the Guild War or not. Everything is up to you as guild leaders."
Ethan stepped closer to the projector screen and pointed at the alliance section.
He showed that up to three guilds were allowed to rge into a single participant, with all three guilds’ participation rights included under that one entry.
In short, guilds that joined an alliance participant could no longer register as participants again, whether as single guilds or alliances.
Kevin fell silent for a mont, as did the other guild leaders. They exchanged glances, curious about Ethan’s stance as the Vice Leader of LionArk.
"What about you, Sir Ethan?" Gregor asked.
Ethan smiled. He told Sherly to open the next presentation slide, which displayed the simple requirents for LionArk’s single guild participant mbers.
The four of them turned their heads and looked at the basic conditions LionArk had set. More than a few of them reacted with widened eyes.
"W-What is that?" Kevin asked.
"I’m glad you asked," Ethan said.
He explained the aning of those requirents to them. Only those who t the criteria were eligible to join LionArk’s participant team.
"Don’t you plan to register as a guild alliance participant?" Gregor asked.
"I want to, but Ashley and I have set very high standards for event participant mbership."
"If any of you can prepare mbers who et those standards, I might be interested," Ethan replied.
Ethan turned his head and glanced at Sherly. Sherly nodded and began displaying the alliance chanics that could be applied in-ga once the event started.
Kevin and the others focused on the presentation panel.
"If you’re interested in joining this event, I suggest you form alliance participants," Ethan said.
Since there were four of them, Ethan suggested that each participant consist of two core mbers. The rest could be recruited from non-core guilds they trusted.
"What if we form alliances with non-core guild mbers in our cities?" Gregor asked.
"What do you an?"
"Star Shield will form an alliance with non-core guilds in my city. The sa goes for Yotsuba and the others in their cities."
"Yotsuba won’t be joining the event," Ayaka explained. "We suffered major losses due to Shadow Guild. If we participate, our budget will be heavily strained."
"Then other guilds, for example," Gregor said.
"What Sir Gregor said makes sense. Alliance participants ford from guilds within the sa city are a good choice. In the end, it’s all about chemistry," Kevin said.
"I agree with what Sir Kevin said, Ethan," Noah added.
Ethan smiled and nodded in agreent. At first, he thought they might be upset that LionArk chose to participate as a single guild, but the reality was different.
They understood it quickly.
"We will help you here. I hope that after this eting, you can begin preparing for the event."
