The battlefield didn’t calm after the heavy units began to fall—it tightened. The air itself felt compressed, as if sothing unseen was pushing inward from all directions. Arata Kurozawa stood at the center line, his breathing steady but deeper now, his eyes locked on the last of the heavy units as it struggled under combined pressure.

Its movents had slowed, its structure damaged, but it still refused to collapse completely. Yuna circled it from the side, her bat resting against her shoulder for a brief second as she watched its movent pattern, her grin faint but sharp. "...You’re tougher than the rest," she muttered. Reina’s shots continued from the right, each one placed with precision, each impact reinforcing the damage already inflicted. Above them, Kaede remained perfectly still, her rifle aligned, waiting—not rushing, not wasting a single shot.

Then—The ground shook again, Not from the heavy unit, Sothing else, Heavier and Slower.

Far more oppressive.

Miyu’s voice cut through instantly. "...New movent detected." Her tone wasn’t calm anymore—it was focused, sharp. "Multiple signatures... no... one large." Reina’s eyes narrowed. "...How large?" Miyu didn’t answer imdiately.

Because the answer was already coming, The heavy unit in front of them suddenly stopped.

Not because it was defeated, Because sothing behind it—Was approaching.

Yuna’s grin faded slightly for the first ti. "...That’s not normal," she said.

The remaining heavy unit shifted aside, Not forced, Not pushed.

It moved—Like it was making space, Silence fell across the battlefield.

Even the scattered infected at the edges seed to hesitate, their movent slowing, their attention shifting in the sa direction.

Then—It appeared, At first, it was just a shadow.

Massive, Blocking what little light remained, Then it stepped forward And the ground cracked beneath it.

Airi’s breath caught instantly. "...What... is that...?"

It wasn’t just big, It was enormous.

At least twice the size of the heavy units they had just fought. Its body looked like it had been forced beyond natural limits, muscles layered unnaturally, skin stretched and hardened like armor. Its arms were thick, disproportionate, dragging slightly as it moved, each step leaving deep impressions in the ground. Its head was smaller compared to its body, but its eyes—Glowed faintly.

Not mindless, Not empty, but Aware.

Yuna’s grip tightened slowly. "...Yeah," she whispered. "That’s new."

Reina lowered her aim slightly—not out of fear, but calculation. "...Standard strategy won’t work," she said. Miyu’s voice ca quickly. "...Confird. Structural durability significantly higher than previous units. Movent speed low—but impact force..." She paused.

"...Extre."

Kaede adjusted her position slightly above, her rifle aligning toward the creature’s head. She didn’t fire.

Not yet.

Arata stepped forward, One step, Then stopped.

Because even he could feel it, This wasn’t just a stronger enemy, This was sothing designed for a different purpose.

Destruction, Unstoppable, The creature stopped moving For a mont.

Then—It looked at them Directly.

Airi felt her chest tighten as if sothing invisible had locked onto them. "...It’s... looking at us," she said.

Yuna let out a low breath. "...Good," she replied. "Makes it easier."

The creature moved again, But this ti—Faster, Not fast like a normal infected.

But fast for sothing that size.

Each step shook the ground harder, cracks spreading beneath its weight as it charged forward.

"Move," Arata said.

The team split instantly.

The creature’s massive arm swung down toward the center—Impact.

The ground shattered where Arata had been standing, debris exploding outward, the shockwave forcing everyone nearby to adjust their footing.

"...That would’ve crushed everything," Reina said.

Miyu responded imdiately. "Do not get hit. No direct engagent without coordination."

Yuna grinned again.

"...Then we don’t get hit."

She moved Fast.

Closing the distance before the creature could reset its stance, her bat swinging toward its leg with full force.

The impact landed.

And—Barely did anything.

Yuna’s grin faltered for a fraction of a second. "...Yeah," she muttered. "You’re not normal."

The creature reacted instantly.

Its other arm swung horizontally—Faster than expected.

Yuna jumped back, but the force of the air pressure alone pushed her further than intended, her feet sliding across the broken ground before she stabilized.

Arata moved in from the opposite side, his strike aid at the creature’s joint again, targeting the sa structural weaknesses as before.

This ti—The impact mattered less, The creature barely shifted.

Its durability wasn’t just high.

It was overwhelming.

Kaede fired.

The shot rang out sharply, cutting through the air and striking the creature’s shoulder.

The impact was clean, But—The creature didn’t flinch.

Airi felt her grip tighten. "...It didn’t even react..."

Reina adjusted her aim, firing again, this ti targeting the eye.

The shot hit Direct.

The creature’s head jerked slightly—But it didn’t stop, Didn’t slow, Didn’t break.

Miyu’s voice ca down sharply. "...Head is not critical point. Structure too dense. We need another approach."

The creature moved again, This ti—Toward the base, Not chasing Arata, Not reacting to Yuna, It was targeting the structure.

Airi’s eyes widened. "...It’s going for the base!"

Arata reacted instantly, moving to intercept, but the creature’s path was too direct, its mass too great to stop with a single strike.

"Redirect it," Reina said.

Yuna stepped forward again, her movents faster now, sharper, pushing harder despite the risk. She struck its side repeatedly, not to damage—but to draw attention.

"Hey," she shouted. "Over here."

The creature’s movent paused for half a second.

Its head turning, Locking onto her.

That was enough.

Arata moved, Fast.

He cut in from behind, striking the back of its leg with full force, targeting the sa point repeatedly instead of spreading attacks.

Kaede adjusted, Her next shot landed in the sa place.

Then another And another.

Reina followed, Precision fire , Sa target.

Miyu’s voice sharpened. "Focus one point. Break structure. It’s the only way."

The attacks aligned.

Yuna adapted instantly, shifting her strikes to the sa area.

The pressure built, Not imdiate, Not explosive, But consistent, The creature began to slow.

Its movent faltering slightly, Its balance shifting.

Airi watched closely, Then—She saw it.

"...The leg," she said. "That’s the only place it reacts."

Miyu responded imdiately. "Confird. Continue."

The creature roared—Not loud, But deep.

Vibrating.

Its body shifted again, trying to regain stability, its arm swinging wildly, forcing everyone to pull back temporarily.

The ground cracked further, The base walls shook But they held.

Arata stepped forward again, Closer, More dangerous.

His strikes beca faster and More precise.

Yuna followed, Reina reinforced Kaede supported.

Airi watched—And understood. This wasn’t about overpowering it.

This was about breaking it Piece by piece.

The creature’s leg finally gave , Just slightly.

A shift, A weakness and That was enough.

"Now," Arata said.

Everything accelerated, All pressure, All focus.

All movent—Converged.

The final sequence began.

And for the first ti—The Colossus staggered.

Not falling yet, But breaking.

And when sothing that big—Starts to break—It doesn’t stop easily, The battle wasn’t over.

But it had reached its turning point.

And the outco—Would decide everything that ca next.
