Chapter 295: Deterioration I
Achilles smiled.
Not the pleasant smile of courtesy.
But the kind that blood when the board began to move exactly as expected.
He nodded toward the Mythical Dragon still glowing with his starlight and said, voice soft and deceptively warm…
“Threats are a unique thing, aren’t they? Sotis, the ones we throw… end up coming back to bite us.”
His words floated like drifting embers- gentle, but sharp enough to draw blood.
Then he turned his gaze slowly across the gathered assembly.
Dynasties. Ancient Races. Thrones of power.
But his eyes stopped and locked on a single figure seated in the distance.
The Lunaris Throne.
A man wrapped in radiant regalia and darkness interwoven, his expression as unreadable as stone.
Their gazes clashed.
For a mont, ti seed to pause.
And then Achilles smiled, his voice quiet but clear across the vastness of the Keep.
“Don’t worry,” he said.
His tone almost kind.
“I haven’t forgotten about you.”
…!
Behind him, Nyxaria Moonveil Lunaris inhaled sharply. Her silver eyes glowed like twin stars eclipsed by fury.
She turned her head to glare at the Lunaris Throne- her father, with unmasked hatred. No words passed between them. But the rift in their bloodline scread louder than any scream.
Achilles turned back and gave a gentle motion with his hand.
“It’s ti.”
Those under his banner shifted in unison, preparing to leave the Triarcan Keep.
But before he rose fully into the air, he glanced back toward the lazy figure still floating nearby.
“Monkey King,” he called lightly, “won’t you join us?”
…!
The ancient being yawned, stretching his limbs as if waking from a nap.
“Tempting,” he said, scratching behind his ear. “But no, no. This show’s just getting good. I think I’ll watch a little longer.”
Achilles nodded once, unbothered.
His gaze sharpened.
And then, the faintest flicker of white flas danced across his back.
No heat.
Only destiny.
It whispered and writhed around him, speaking not with words but with the pull of the future but he could barely see.
Achilles narrowed his eyes slightly.
Destiny was getting rowdy.
They floated out of the Keep!
The Triarcan Keep was left buzzing in their wake.
Back on her throne of astral marble, Selamira drumd her fingers along the armrest.
A single wordless beat.
But the pressure of it thrumd across the room like a war drum.
Her voice rang out next, crisp and unwavering:
“Ignore the fools who just left.”
She stood now.
The floor beneath her groaned with invisible force.
“I have sothing to ask. Of all of you- Ancient or otherwise.”
Her eyes swept across the room, and silence followed.
“I’m searching for a culprit,” she said, each word laced with power. “A creature- one that spreads spores capable of seizing minds. It’s begun infiltrating ecosystems, embedding control, building… armies.”
…!
The tension snapped.
Murmurs erupted.
From the seats of the Mythical Dragons, the very one who had threatened Achilles earlier leaned forward, his expression no longer smug but hardened.
“We’ve felt sothing similar,” he admitted. “Abominations. Hybrids of Draconic bloodline are rising from sothing else. Sothing wrong. Our lineage is being tainted.”
His hands clenched. His glow dimd with anger.
Then…
The Crown Prince of the Pride of Aeonthar rose, his golden-blue hair cascading behind him.
“We too have found signs,” he said sternly. “But ours ca with prophecy.”
A hush fell again.
He raised a gloved hand.
“A creature that breeds mass hybridization. With no purpose but domination. If left alone… it will birth chaos. It must be eradicated.”
…!
They all looked at each other.
Three races.
Three threads.
All converging.
They were all searching for the sa thing.
Sothing vile!
The atmosphere inside the Triarcan Keep had already been volatile- now it turned lethal.
As the ancient ones began piecing together the signs of a shared enemy, their thoughts sharpened. Tension crackled through the air like coiled thunderclouds. And then…
The Lunaris Throne rose.
Gravitas clung to him like shadowed armor, his face a mask of self-righteous fury.
All gazes turned.
Even those of ancient bloodlines paused as he began to speak, his voice cold and deliberate.
“There is one,” he said, “who has wrongfully declared dominion over one of my colony cities.”
His tone turned sharper.
“This man was found to be raising monstrous creatures, Hybrids. Sothing twisted.”
…!
The word Hybrids was all it took to ignite sharp focus in the eyes of the Mythical Dragon, Selamira, the Crown Prince of Aeonthar, and many others.
The Lunaris Throne did not stop.
“And that man,” he said with venom dripping from every word, “is none other than the disrespectful human who just left this Keep. The one who now calls himself…”
He paused, savoring it.
“…King Primal.”
…!
A beat of silence.
Then a rush of recognition.
Eyes widened.
Mouths murmured.
King Primal.
The na had risen not long ago, during a scandal that exposed the Lunaris Throne’s abuse of a Colony City.
And now, was he truly the sa one that even the Ancient Ones were looking for?
The silence shattered as all eyes slowly pivoted.
Toward one remaining figure.
Still floating lazily in the air.
Currently chewing on a Primordium Evolutius Fruit and humming to himself.
Sun.
The Mythological Monkey King at the Neuronova Stage of Astral Core Ascension!
He blinked.
Then blinked again.
And then…
“Hoh? So we’re tossing nas now, are we?”
He turned to gaze at the Lunaris Throne.
His smile widened just slightly, but there was no humor in it now.
“Say… remind again. You’re supposed to be human, yes?”
The Lunaris Throne frowned, confused by the question. “Of course.”
“Mm. That’s strange,” Sun said, still smiling. “Because you sll more like a mindless beast to .”
WAA!
A collective inhale.
Sun’s voice did not rise, but it was heavy!
“Only a simple beast would sell out another human like that,” he said. “Throwing your own kind to the wolves for what? You think you will gain anything here? Ah, how distasteful.”
…!
Silence returned.
The Lunaris Throne’s jaw clenched.
His aura began to rise, but the Monkey King rely reclined back on an invisible cushion, yawning!
