Chapter 298: The King That Stood Alone II
His voice was soft.
“There are too many unknowns to keep you here.”
“But-”
He tightened his embrace.
“Its okay, you’ll have my Avatar to keep you company. I’m sorry, but ti is running out.”
A shimr of white Nirvanic fla gathered at his fingertips, tracing around her gently like a veil. It flared silently.
Rose’s eyes widened as the light blood around her. Her hand gripped the fabric at his chest- almost refusing.
But the teleportation was already complete!
In the next breath, Rose vanished in a cascade of white fla, sent across thousands of miles- returned to the Adrastia Dynasty where his Primordial Avatar waited.
The space she left behind felt colder.
Achilles stood still for a long mont before turning back to face the others.
Luna’s brows furrowed. Aliya looked down, her fists tight. Shaw gave a quiet sigh as he nodded in understanding.
Achilles gave them a small, calm smile. “Whatever’s coming,” he said, “it shouldn’t be too crazy.”
They stayed silent, honoring his decision.
He raised a single hand, white flas pooling around them like a tide. They shimred with purity and quiet farewell.
In a heartbeat, the rest were gone.
The land fell into silence once more.
Only Achilles remained, cloaked in the firelight of Nirvana, standing tall at the forefront of the now-empty Vessel of Adrastia.
A king.
Standing alone.
The Vessel of Adrastia hovered alone in the wide, endless skies, its mile-long landmass aglow in surreal hues.
Golden rivers shimred through obsidian soil. The trees upon it bore luminous Primordium Evolutius Fruits, pulsing with light and untapped potential, their branches swaying as if alive to so higher rhythm.
Winds moved around the Vessel, not upon it.
Standing at the forefront, Achilles inhaled deeply.
He was the only soul atop this floating eden.
He raised his arms, expression calm, movents precise. From his fingertips, silent spores scattered into the wind- undetectable, insidious, and glorious.
They rode the air, invisible to the eye, weaving through the folds of the environnt as layers of preparation blood. He embedded his will into the land. The skies. The very flow of destiny across this domain.
Yes.
Destiny!
He wanted to see if he could even infuse his control….through Destiny!
And then…
The Vessel began its descent.
It touched down on the untouched grounds of the Cenotaph Wild Lands, an ancient and vast expanse unclaid by anyone.
The earth and the air shimred with possibility. As the Vessel’s massive base t the land gently, a sudden, blinding flash of light erupted as a mass teleportation was activated.
In the next mont, the landscape around the Vessel changed entirely.
Tens of thousands of figures erged- silent and unified.
Draconic Hybrids.
Towering beasts with obsidian-scaled wings and horns that glowed with Runescripture.
Their eyes burned with loyalty, and not a single one made a sound. They simply ford ranks.
The ground thundered once more.
High Orcs clad in organic crystal armor and carrying warblades of bone and starlight appeared.
Ancient Titans burning with Astral Core Ascension obtained from Sanctarith Ultara stood like giants amongst giants.
And more ca.
More!
He had surrounding him at least a dozen Astral Core Ascension entities that he controlled!
Achilles called, and they ca since they were bound to him.
Hundreds of thousands- nearly half a million Draconic Hybrids surrounded the mile-long vessel like a tide of living war.
He stood above it all.
One man.
One King.
His arms folded calmly behind his back, his eyes watching the skies.
He breathed out as he reflected.
He.
Standing alone waiting for a terrifying enemy, when just days ago…he was trying to do anything to save the woman he loved in a hospital.
He rembered it all as if it were surreal.
The Evolutius Catacombs.
Assimilating the Evolutius Crystals
Assimilating sun light. Moon light. Beasts!
It all seed so far away, and yet here he was.
Too much could change in a short period of ti as he breathed out and looked up.
Minutes passed.
Then, they ca.
Tearing through the clouds in formations of Astral might, they descended in crushing silence. Light twisted unnaturally as dozens of Ancient Ones arrived in full regalia.
Selamira.
Now draped in obsidian robes lined with gold-threaded constellations as if she knew she was coming to battle. Her presence bent starlight itself.
Solmyron.
The Golden Pyre of the Acheron Phoenix Assembly. His flas left streaks in the sky like celestial scars as he was in full Phoenix form, his body burning with breaking Aeonic Chains!
The Royal Panthera Lions, gliding in humanoid warforms that glowed with ancient power.
Mythical Dragons, their wings silent but their pressure imnse- so bearing four horns, others trailing celestial cots behind them.
The High Elves ca from further behind.
And there was even the figure of…The Lunaris Throne in the distance! A cold monarch of black moonsilver, his pale hands folded over an ethereal Sword of silver light, his disdain thick enough to stain the air.
All of them ca for him.
Achilles looked up to et them, calm as still water.
The army around him did not move.
Not a single Hybrid bellowed.
Not one Titan raised a hand.
They simply… waited.
Selamira floated forward slowly, the golden compass of the Primordial Light of Darkness in her hand glowing faintly as it faded.
She placed it away. Her gaze locked on Achilles- sharp, furious, filled with bloodlust.
But first it was actually diplomatic.
“I will pass down an offer,” she spoke, her voice cold but ceremonial.
“The Primordial Light of Darkness is gracious enough to offer you salvation first. Join him, and all your past sins will be forgiven. Aid us in the war against the external threats from the stars… and you may yet rise beyond what you imagine.”
Her tone shifted.
Her smile vanished.
“And yet…”
Her eyes narrowed.
“My Master is wise. He is rciful. But I hope you say no to this offer…”
She raised a single obsidian hand, the starlight around her rippling.
“…because those who disrupt His plans do not deserve to walk away. They deserve obliteration.”
A silent pause spread.
And the King that stood alone… smiled.
Onward!
