Far from the Everburn Aerie Continent and Thalassphere Arx.
The eting within the Triarcan Keep began its slow conclusion, the echoes of countless debates still lingering in the vast halls. Tension clung to the air like fog that was heavy and unmoving as the last words of ancient ones and humans hung unresolved.
From her elevated seat carved into glowing azure stone, the Myrrnith Throne stood tall.
Her radiant blue hair flowex down her back like cascading water as he bore the visage of regality, her eyes sharp and her tone steeped in the gravity of the mont.
"What has happened with the one known as...King Primal," she began, her voice both calm and resounding, "does not change the grand sche of things. We face a far greater danger. One that lies beyond this plane. One we must be strong enough to face."
The many human leaders seated below her stirred, the weight of her words drawing them from their contemplations.
"Divided, we will fall," the Myrrnith Throne continued. "Only united can we succeed. Humans and Ancient Ones will walk hand in hand. In Colony Cities and in Ancient Lands. The destiny given to humans after the Long Slumber... it will be shared. So we all may be strong enough to face what is to co."
Her words rang across the chamber like a bell tolling at the start of a new era.
Whispers followed. Eyes t across the chamber. Leaders, hesitant but thoughtful, began nodding in slow agreent.
The tension did not vanish, but it shifted. It beca sothing usable. Sothing that bound them.
The Lunaris Throne had a cloudy expression as he looked around shiftily- as if he expected to see that one terrifying enemy appearing out of nowhere!
The faces of the Royal Panthera Lions, Mythical Dragons, High Elves, and many others were dark and cloudy as they seed to be thinking of even grander things.
But regardless, things were worked out in thr Triarcan Keep.
And so, on that day, after chaos and revelation, an official alliance was forged between the humans and the Ancient Ones.
Their enemy, the one spoken of in hushed dread, remained unnad by most. But among them, the most inford whispered it as... the Crimson Star Eyes.
The ones that could shoot beams of crimson light that could kill anyone!
They were marked as a clear enemy of Humans and Ancient Ones on this day.
It was a day that marked a monuntal shift.
Ancient Ones would now walk freely in Colony Cities. Humans would learn from their ancient power and knowledge. Ancient Techniques. Primordial Energy. Evolutius Manipulation.
All would be shared.
It was a ti of trendous change!
A ti where the Plane of Existence itself felt as if it were pivoting toward...a new phase.
---
Hours after the critical eting ended, the skies of Ethemia stretched wide and calm.
Across these clouds, legions of phoenixes returned, their golden-red wings dimd and bloodied from conflict. They bore the mark of silence and defeat, but also the boiling embers of rage.
They moved under the banner of Solmyron the Golden Pyre, his form fierce and unwavering as he flew at the helm of his forces. His eyes burned with unanswered questions and deep unrest.
Alongside these phoenixes flew the aerial vessels of humans. They kept their distance, the air between them thick with unease. Every human ship drew eyes from the phoenixes. Eyes that seethed as they rembered the human who butchered their forces whenever they looked at these humans!
Solmyron said nothing. He simply flew forward, waiting. Waiting for the comfort of seeing the distant shape of his ho rise over the horizon. The brilliant edges of the Everburn Aerie Continent, and next to it, the blue glory of the Thalassphere Arx.
The group flew forth for another hundreds pf miles.
And...he was forced to pause soon after.
Because as he moved faster, as his vision pierced farther...he saw nothing where his Everburn Aerie Continent was.
He knew the grim fate of Azuryan, but surely...
He blinked, once, twice. His mory was flawless. His power great. He had not misjudged the distance. He had not taken the wrong path!
And yet, the continents were not there.
Both Everburn Aerie Continent and the Thalassphere Arx were not there!
He slowed. The phoenixes behind him began to murmur.
A Celestbone Stage Astral Core Phoenix called out, panic edging into his tone. "Where...is our ho?"
A horrible question. One no one could answer.
They surged forward, scanning the region. From above, to every direction- hundreds of miles in every direction- and still, nothing!
HUUM!
Primordial Energy seethed.
These were not small islands. They were continents. Floating land masses of unimaginable weight and scale. Their movent was not swift, not like ships on the sea. They could not have simply drifted out of sight!
And still, nothing.
They scoured the skies.
And slowly, dread began to set in.
They saw signs of battle. Residual flas hanging in the atmosphere like echoes of screams. The scorched aether carried the scent of war.
Solmyron’s face twisted in rage. His wings expanded fully as he let his senses spread wide- and what he slled chilled him.
The burning essence of starlight. The lted breath of sothing far beyond normal flas. The residual force that clung to space itself as if an entire sun had passed through.
He had slled this power before.
A Power of a Sun!
During the battle. When a man with a golden crown and purple flas hovered high, wreathed in majesty and death.
Achilles.
His influence was unmistakable.
Solmyron’s voice cracked as he muttered. "He was here... he was here!"
But that didn’t make sense.
What could one man do? Even a terrifying one. Even one with the strength of a sun.
And yet, the signs were everywhere.
Where once floated continents, now there was only silence and sky.
He turned to the humans flying behind him. His anger raged, but it was directionless.
He bellowed into the air, wings flaring out wide as golden fire spiraled from his feathers. "Where is my continent?!"
The cry carried through the skies.
And no one answered.
Only the wind replied, empty and cold.
It was a scene of silence.
It was the beginning of a revelation.
One that would not bring comfort.
Not today.
And not for a long, long ti!
