Ocean’s Cry!
Also known as the demonic sound from the deep sea.
Legend also says it is the song of rmaids from the depths of the ocean.
Gui Zian’s ability was... Sea Domain!
He could transform the air around him into a zone that acted like a sea domain. Coupled with his special skill, Shark Sting, it was not only flexible and versatile, but could also change direction at will in mid-air.
He was truly a powerhouse among the high-ranks!
But he was still missing one thing: Ocean’s Cry.
If he could possess this ability...
Then, he could turn his Sea Domain into the "Sea of Demonic Sound." Its power would be a quantum leap compared to his current Sea Domain.
"Teacher Gui, if you want it, just say the word. I have plenty!" Gao Neng had never seen such a desperate expression on Gui Zian’s face before.
"You’d really... give it to ?" Gui Zian asked subconsciously, then his face flushed red. A teacher, asking a student for sothing.
And for a Tear of the Ocean, no less.
Gui Zian had never done anything like this in his entire life.
So, he quickly ca to his senses and coughed forcefully a couple of tis. "Ah, Gao Neng, if... What I an is, if you really do have a lot, you could sell this to ."
"Sell it? Hmm... I suppose that’s an option." Gao Neng’s original intention was to at least charge for the cost. After all, doing business at a loss wasn’t sustainable.
Even though Gui Zian had saved his life.
But a favor was a favor...
It didn’t have to be about money, and just charging the cost price wouldn’t be ripping him off.
"Alright, how does fifty million sound?"
"Fifty million?!" Gao Neng’s jaw dropped.
"Is that too little? Er... It is a bit low. Based on market price, this Tear of the Ocean could easily sell for eighty million to a hundred million, and that’s if you can even find one for sale. But, you know I haven’t saved much over the years. Even for fifty million, I’d have to pay you in two installnts... If you’re not willing, then I..."
"Teacher, say no more. Take it for five million!" Gao Neng waved his hand dismissively. He really couldn’t bear to listen anymore. ’The vice-principal of the Eastern Capital Military Academy, and he’s in this state? How is he not embarrassed to admit it?’
’So pathetic!’
He did want to make money, but he felt his conscience would bother him if he profited from Gui Zian.
A piece of Magnetic Crystal Ore the size of two fists had a market price between two and three million, plus a one million cost for the evolution process.
So at five million...
He would still be making a profit of one million.
Gao Neng thought that was acceptable.
But Gui Zian was completely stunned.
"Five million?!"
"You’re really willing to sell this Tear of the Ocean for five million?! Gao Neng, do you not know what this thing is worth? I can’t do this... Fifty million! I won’t pay you a penny less!"
Gui Zian was truly an honest man.
At the very least, he wouldn’t take advantage of his own student.
"Teacher, take it for five million. If you insist on fifty million, I’ll just keep it for myself. Or better yet, I’ll smash it and make a lamp... What do you think would look better, a blue lamp or a red one?" Gao Neng picked up the Tear of the Ocean, then casually conjured a hamr out of his iron energy.
"If you dare smash it, I’ll kill you!" Gui Zian’s eyes instantly turned red.
"Then it’s settled. Five million plus one desk. Teacher, will that be cash or transfer?" Gao Neng nonchalantly tossed the Tear of the Ocean into the air.
’I’m not short on cash!’
’I’ve still got over eight hundred million in my account!’
’It feels good to be rich and willful.’
Gui Zian imdiately caught it, but his expression was a little strange. "Plus one desk?"
He looked around the room. It did seem to be missing a desk...
"Teacher, if there’s nothing else, I won’t see you out. Rember the five million! Tomorrow is fine!" Gao Neng imdiately pushed Gui Zian out of the room, using his body to block the teacher’s line of sight and prevent him from seeing the slight bulge on the bed.
Gui Zian was shoved out the door in a daze.
He stared blankly at the Tear of the Ocean in his hand...
’I got my hands on the ore I’ve been dreaming of just like that? And now I can start mastering the Sea of Demonic Sound? How can this be real?’
Gui Zian took a few steps away, still holding the ore, before he suddenly snapped to his senses.
’Wait a minute!’
’I ca here to put Gao Neng in confinent!’
...
Gao Neng had just turned to go back inside and was about to close the door.
When Gui Zian charged back.
"Confinent!"
"Huh? Teacher Gui, what are you talking about?" Gao Neng blinked.
"I said I’m putting you in confinent! Right now! This is a direct order from the Military Departnt!" As he spoke, Gui Zian subconsciously clutched the Tear of the Ocean in his hand.
"Teacher Gui, have you forgotten that I just gave you a priceless ore?" Gao Neng glanced at the Tear of the Ocean in Gui Zian’s hand before continuing, "Besides, I haven’t done anything wrong. On what grounds are you putting in confinent? Is it because I’m too handso?"
"I told you, this is a direct order from the Military Departnt! I have to carry it out!"
"A direct order?"
"That’s right!"
"For how long?"
"At least five days. If your attitude is good, three days might be possible," Gui Zian replied after a mont’s thought.
"And that’s it?" Gao Neng asked again.
"That’s it."
"Did the order specify the location for the confinent?"
"Location? No, it didn’t say."
"Excellent! I will fully cooperate with the Military Departnt’s direct order! For the next three days, I will not step outside. I will serve my confinent right here in my dorm room!" Gao Neng imdiately shouted.
"Confinent in your dorm room?" Gui Zian’s brow furrowed. Then, he glanced again at the Tear of the Ocean in his hand. At that mont, a wise old saying ca to mind.
