Atop the carriage, Ouyang Sword drove while watching the dark clouds gather in the sky. He turned his head and asked.

Ouyang Sword chuckled but didn’t reply, simply continuing to drive the carriage.
The clouds in the sky grew thicker. A chilly drizzle began to fall, and in just a mont, the rain grew heavier, splashing mud all over the main road.
The drizzle turned into a downpour, constantly pelting the ground.
Ouyang Sword, still driving the carriage, furrowed his brow.
Then, he pulled the reins tight.
With a sharp neigh from the horse, the carriage quickly ca to a halt in the middle of the main road.
On this trip from Fenglin State, they had already gone through several horses.
So-called legendary steeds that could travel hundreds of miles a day simply didn’t exist.
But they always chose fine steeds, so their Speed was incredible, even in a carriage.

Shen Bai uttered the single word slowly.
Ouyang Sword’s tightly furrowed brow relaxed slightly. He turned to Shen Bai and said, "Brother Shen, it seems your trouble has arrived."
Shen Bai said, "Using an Array to conceal their presence and then lying in ambush on the main road, waiting for ... They’ve clearly been plotting this for a long ti. I’m rather curious to see just how grand of a ’gift’ this is."
Ouyang Sword shot back, "For you, Brother Shen, does this even count as a gift?"
As he spoke, Ouyang Sword jumped down from the carriage and drew Icesnow from his waist.
But before he could even draw it halfway, Shen Bai placed a hand on his wrist.
"Brother Shen, what is this for?" Ouyang Sword asked, puzzled.
Shen Bai shook his head. "This is my feud; I’ll handle it myself. They paid a huge price to set this up, so I imagine it won’t be simple."
Ouyang Sword fell into thought.
Shen Bai continued, "Brother Ouyang, this carriage is expensive, and so is this horse. We’re still a ways from the next town, so the important thing is to protect the carriage."
Although it was raining, the two used their Qi as a shield, so not a drop of rain touched them.
After a mont of thought, Ouyang Sword grabbed the horse’s reins and pulled the carriage to the side of the road.
He wasn’t worried.
If Shen Bai wasn’t their match, then he’d just be cannon fodder anyway.

Shen Bai shook his head. "You do have a bit of a foundation, I’ll grant you. But to think you can take my head with this bunch of riffraff? You must not take seriously at all."
"Enough of your boasting," Qianqing Daoist said with a wave of his hand. "Let’s see what you’re really made of."
Cold Moon slid from its sheath in Shen Bai’s hand, and his expression turned frigid.
Today would be the day he settled matters in Fenglin State once and for all. From this day forward, he would have no more enemies there.
Just as Qianqing Daoist had said, proving one’s strength was what mattered most.
The mont Shen Bai drew Cold Moon, Monk Yuan’an, who had been silent until now, suddenly pressed his palms together. An intensely dark light began to flicker around his body.
