The native legendary-grade fighters of the Empyrean Faction all turned pale.
Coleton had actually been smashed so thoroughly by a single hamr strike that not even ashes were left behind!
The strength of that Stonekin Otherworldly Prodigy was truly terrifying!
Yet the Otherworldly Prodigies themselves all remained calm, as if they had already known this would be the outco.
The reason they were called prodigies was because they possessed the power to kill enemies across ranks as easily as breathing.
Which one of them was not the favored child of Fortune Points in their own world?
Which one of them had not ruled their own domain with absolute dominance, invincible against all rivals?
Which one of them did not hold countless trump cards in hand, with top-tier talents to match?
This result was only natural.
"Stonekin skills really are impressive when it cos to raw power. I wonder how far Berno has trained."
"Who cares how far he’s trained? Once Harris gets here, everyone on the other side is finished."
"Obviously. Harris of the Starlight Folk is a prodigy among prodigies. I heard he went to climb Cloudcrest Peak. No idea whether he’ll make it to the top—no one has reached the summit in nearly a thousand years..."
"Forget about him for now. Are we really going to let a re Stonekin from so minor race act this arrogantly in the Endless Starfield?"
"Relax. I’ll handle Berno in the next round."
"Then we’ll leave it to you..."
"..."
...
Daniel watched coldly from the sidelines.
These Otherworldly Prodigies had far too many hidden cards. Killing across ranks was as natural to them as eating and drinking.
Now it depended on how the Empyrean Faction responded.
The best outco would be for them to send soone out to fight Berno head-on. Only then could he more clearly assess just how much these prodigies were truly worth.
When Otherworldly Prodigies fought against Heavenscar’s native powerhouses, it was nothing but one-sided domination.
The only battles truly worth watching were life-and-death struggles between prodigies themselves.
Very soon, a figure wrapped in ghostly green flas, with chains clattering all over his body, stepped out from the crowd.
He looked at the Stonekin youth Berno and spoke in an indifferent tone.
"Netherkin. Vogan."
Berno raised his twin hamrs in front of himself defensively, his face expressionless.
Vogan studied him with interest for a few monts, then suddenly bared his teeth in a grin.
Boom—!
In an instant, heaven and earth changed color.
Clatter, clatter...
Countless chains shot out from Vogan’s body, blotting out the sky like a surging tidal wave as they rushed toward Berno.
Facing that overwhelming, mountain-crushing assault, a fierce light flashed through Berno’s eyes.
He rembered the instructions of the ntors and elders of his race before he had departed—
"Berno, once you step into Heavenscar, you will no longer represent only yourself. Behind you stand tens of thousands of Stonekin brethren."
"The fate and future of the Stonekin will rest in your hands."
"You may face danger, suffer setbacks, even be driven into hopeless despair. But you must rember—if you fall, the Stonekin will be left to suffer endless heavenly calamities. I believe that from that burden, you will draw strength."
"That is the strength to protect your people, the sacred power our Stonekin have always revered. It will make you invincible."
...
In Berno’s vision, there was nothing but deadly chains.
His eyes turned blood-red as he let out a thunderous roar.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
His two giant hamrs tore through space and smashed viciously toward Vogan.
Vogan gave a cold smile and casually pointed.
A chain shot out like a living creature and sent both giant hamrs flying away.
Bang—!
Golden light erupted across Berno’s body as he transford into a streak of light and charged straight at Vogan.
A wave of sighs rose from the Holy Faction.
Anyone could see that the gap in strength between Berno and Vogan was simply too large.
Vogan had only used a portion of his power, yet it was already enough to leave Berno utterly powerless to resist.
"Berno... hold on."
"...Sigh. Even if he holds on, what can it change? This is the sorrow of all of us minor races."
"From the mont we entered Heavenscar and were forced to join the Holy Kingdom’s side because our Fortune Points were too low, our fate was already sealed."
"Are we minor races only destined to be tools? Why is Heavenscar so unfair?!"
"Fairness? Only the weak seek fairness!"
One prodigy from a small race clenched both fists tightly. The mont he thought of what awaited his people next, his whole body began trembling uncontrollably.
That was rage too great to suppress!
"Berno is going to lose. Who can deal with Vogan of the Netherkin?"
"...Vogan is too strong. We’re no match for him..."
anwhile, over on the Empyrean Faction side, everyone remained completely at ease.
Watching Vogan dominate the fight, they were not the slightest bit surprised.
"We’ve already won this battle."
"In the entire history of Heavenscar, the Empyrean Faction has never lost. This ti will be no different."
"With Vogan of the Netherkin alone, he could probably sweep through every prodigy on the other side!"
Clatter! Clatter! Clatter!
The chains lashed like countless tentacles, striking Berno again and again.
With every strike, the HP above his head dropped sharply.
-40 million!
-48.2 million!
-32.52 million!
Even more chains wrapped around Berno’s limbs, then wound around his entire body like spider silk, cocooning him completely.
Seeing this, Daniel frowned slightly.
"Netherkin? Another race I’ve never heard of... Still, Vogan’s strength is indeed far above Berno of the Stonekin."
He could tell that Vogan had not even used his full power.
As for Berno, he had already been completely suppressed.
"Die, trash!"
Vogan shouted.
A purple glow spread across the countless chains—he intended to grind Berno to death alive!
Boom—!
A world-shaking explosion erupted from within the mass of chains.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The chains spread apart, revealing empty air inside.
A smile appeared on Vogan’s face.
But in the next mont, his expression changed.
Cries of shock erupted simultaneously from both the Holy Faction and the Empyrean Faction.
"Berno!"
"How is that possible? He didn’t die to that attack?!"
"What a teleportation move! Berno, incredible!"
Daniel saw it clearly as well.
One of the giant hamrs that had been knocked away had sohow transford into Berno himself.
Whoosh—!
Berno turned into a streak of golden light and shot straight toward Vogan.
He used the secret technique of the Stonekin once again.
In the void, an enormous phantom of Berno and a giant hamr appeared. Following his movent, it ca crashing down violently toward Vogan.
Anyone paying close attention would notice that the giant hamr in the phantom’s hands had already turned into a blood-red ball of fire.
Golden flas were blazing all over Berno’s body—he was burning Immortal Singularity!
His face twisted savagely as he poured all his strength into that final hamr strike and roared:
"Die for —!"
Vogan only had ti to use Immortal Singularity to protect his body.
The giant hamr smashed into him without the slightest suspense.
Boom—!
Crack! Crack! Crack...
Broken chains fell one after another from the sky.
Vogan, powerhouse of the Netherkin, died on the spot.
At the sa ti, the phantom behind Berno dissipated, and his aura plumted sharply.
Pfft!
Golden blood flowed from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
His body hovered unsteadily in midair, swaying as if he could fall at any mont, yet he still kept his back ramrod straight.
"We may not be as strong as you great races, but we are not spineless weaklings for you great races to bully at will!"
"The Stonekin may be weak, but we have never lacked the courage to challenge fate! Even soone as weak as can still bring down a powerhouse from your great races!"
"So what if we’re ants? Even ants can topple an elephant!"
Berno was already so weak he could barely hold on, but he refused to let himself fall.
He swept his gaze over the people opposite him, then slowly flew back toward the Holy Faction.
