After a few rounds of drinking, the seven-person team had beco slightly tipsy, when the priestess suddenly leaned in, lowering her voice to a mysterious whisper.
"By the way, do you all know? The bonus for secondary classes in Polaris City is higher than in all nine main cities!" Her eyes glead with excitent, and she glanced around to make sure no one else was listening.
"Really?" one of the teammates asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course it’s true!" she said, opening her in-ga interface with a fluid motion. The screen glowed softly, displaying complex numbers and progress bars. She pointed at the statistics, her finger tracing the percentages carefully.
"Look at this. My alchemy proficiency gain here in Polaris City is fifty percent faster than in Luminara!" She emphasized the progress bar, watching the numbers tick upward.
"And the success rate—when I make interdiate potions in Luminara, the success rate is only around fifty-five percent. But in Polaris City, it reaches eighty-five percent!" Her voice was full of amazent, almost trembling with excitent.
"Plus, high-quality outputs happen frequently. When I make ten bottles of interdiate healing potions, I usually get three or four superior-quality ones!" She smiled, revealing the faint gleam of satisfaction in her eyes.
The group exchanged astonished glances, leaning closer to examine the glowing interface. The soft flicker of candlelight reflected off their eyes, highlighting their disbelief and curiosity.
"That’s insane," soone muttered quietly, his tone a mixture of awe and skepticism.
"You don’t believe ? Try it for yourself!" she said, her expression serious yet playful. Her hands hovered over the interface, ready to demonstrate the stats again.
Nearby, a table of other players overheard the conversation.
They leaned forward, intrigued, and joined in eagerly.
"She’s right," a blacksmith said, his voice deep and steady. "I’ve been forging iron in Polaris City for half a month, and my proficiency has almost increased by two levels!" He gestured toward his crafting station, where faint sparks still hovered in the air.
" too! Before, when I crafted equipnt in the main city, succeeding on five out of ten items was lucky. Here, I succeed on eight out of ten!" another player added, brushing imaginary dust from his virtual gloves.
"And prices are low here, so materials are cheap. The equipnt I make can still be sold in the nine main cities for a significant profit," another chid in, calculating in his head the potential gold he could earn.
"The only downside is there are fewer NPCs, so you can’t take high-level quests," one player pointed out, frowning slightly as he considered the limitations.
"But there are plenty of construction tasks! Polaris City is investing heavily in developnt now, and there are quests every day. You can earn guild points faster than farming monsters!" another explained, tapping the table with excitent.
"I heard Doom Guild has a building for secondary-class players. What was it called... the Sanctuary Garden? Items made there get extra bonuses!" a fourth player added, leaning in, eager to share what he knew.
"Exactly! My friend got in, and when he ca out, he was floating with excitent. He said the success rate was ninety-five percent and mind power doubled. I almost wanted to hit him!" soone said, laughing loudly, shaking his head at his friend’s exaggerated claims.
"Then why don’t you join?" soone asked, curiosity tinged with mockery.
"I haven’t joined Doom Guild!" the other replied, throwing back his head to laugh.
Laughter echoed across the tavern, mixing with the clinking of glasses and the low hum of conversation.
Amid the lively chatter, the priestess leaned closer to Sunborn, her voice dropping once again.
"Captain, there’s sothing I want to discuss with you," she said, her tone now serious and deliberate.
"What is it?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly as he tried to read her expression.
"I... I signed a long-term contract with one of the managent mbers of Doom Guild," she admitted, her fingers nervously twisting a ring on her hand.
Sunborn froze for a mont, his mind racing to process the news.
"What kind of contract?" he asked cautiously.
"They provide materials and workspace, and I handle potion production. The potions go to the guild, and I earn a commission plus guild points," she explained, her voice growing animated as she described the arrangent.
She paused briefly, her eyes lighting up with a mixture of excitent and anticipation.
"Captain, do you know what this ans?" she asked, leaning forward, almost bouncing in her seat.
"In Polaris City, with the Sanctuary Garden bonus, my success rate and potion quality are absurdly high. Before, producing one interdiate potion cost five gold coins, and I could sell it for eight. That’s a profit of three," she continued, her hands moving in expressive gestures to illustrate the numbers.
"Now, the cost is still five, but the quality is higher. I can sell it for twelve, making seven! And with the high success rate, losses are minimal, so actual profits are even greater!"
"The guild supplies the materials, so I don’t advance any costs. I get three gold coins and 100 guild points per potion. I can make two or three hundred per day. Can you imagine the profit?"
Sunborn quickly calculated in his head and drew a sharp breath.
"Five or six hundred gold coins a day?!" he exclaid, the numbers spinning in his mind as he tried to grasp the scale of her statent.
"Not just that! As my proficiency increases, I can craft even higher-level potions!" she said, her grin widening, eyes squinting in pure delight.
"Captain, once I get rich, I’ll treat you to a big feast!"
"Holy shit, sounds good!" he replied, a smile spreading across his face.
"I don’t need a feast," another team mber interjected, grinning. "Just buy a gold-grade bow and arrow, and I’m satisfied!"
The team erupted into laughter again, the sound carrying through the tavern. Sunborn watched them, smiling quietly to himself, feeling a surge of gratitude and luck.
Polaris City, Doom Guild, Faustus... it was all falling into place.
The tavern continued to buzz with activity, players sharing stories, checking their interfaces, and enjoying the evening glow.
The soft hum of magical energy from enchanted lanterns added a faint sparkle to the air.
anwhile, in Polaris City, the Duke’s Estate stood proudly, its white stone walls gleaming in the afternoon sun.
The estate, located in the city center near the Sanctuary Garden, resembled a small castle with multiple towers and high walls.
It had been specially built by Roland for Daniel, combining living quarters, office spaces, and eting halls in one expansive structure.
Deep inside the estate was a building that looked unremarkable from the outside.
Its stone walls and simple wooden door blended seamlessly into the surrounding architecture.
Inside, however, it opened up into a vast space, filled with dozens of war machines in all shapes and sizes.
Towering trebuchets, robust ballistae, heavy shield wagons, and intricately designed siege ladders were arranged ticulously.
Each machine glimred faintly with silver light, engraved with detailed runes that pulsed softly.
This was Daniel’s private workshop.
He stood before a platinum-grade trebuchet, carefully inspecting its components.
The polished wood shone under the soft lighting, and the ropes and chanisms were taut and precise.
Three full days had passed, and he had barely slept, his focus entirely devoted to this work.
With the aid of a legendary-grade engineer and the amplification provided by the Eternal Core Furnace, his crafting speed was extraordinary.
Sparks flew occasionally as magical energy infused the tal parts.
Opening the system panel, Daniel scanned the completed war machines.
