One week later.

The army finally arrived at the gates of Ironforge!

This was a true mighty city.

The walls rose fifty ters high, forged from a mix of obsidian and silver-grade alloy, inscribed with countless defensive runes.

On the walls, rows upon rows of War Machines were stationed. At least a thousand of them.

At the city gates, two hundred-ter-tall dwarf stone statues stood on either side, exuding a terrifying aura.

These were the dwarves’ guardian statues, said to be capable of reviving during battle, though with limited uses.

Inside the city, a massive forge towered into the sky. Its flas dyed half the horizon red.

Ironforge was the main city of all dwarves in the region.

Its population numbered eight million, with 1.8 million soldiers.

Even a legendary level-280 dwarf supre commander was stationed there.

Daniel stood on a high mountain outside the city, gazing at the towering fortress.

Behind him, six million troops were arrayed and ready.

He took a deep breath.

"Give the order: rest in place for one day."

"Tomorrow..."

His eyes sharpened.

"Attack the city!"

...

On Ironforge’s walls, dense formations of dwarves stood ready.

Two million warriors in total.

This was the combined force from Ironforge and all surrounding tribes.

They wore heavy plate armor and wielded battle axes or warhamrs.

Their eyes burned with battle intent.

Every fifty ters along the wall, an arrow tower stood.

Each tower mounted blackgold-grade Thunder Cannons and Lava Throwers.

More frighteningly, inside the walls stood thirty towering War Machines.

They were twenty ters high.

The dwarves called them War Behemoths.

[Dwarf War Behemoth (blackgold-grade)]

These were colossal war machines, combining offense and defense.

Their appearance resembled a giant tallic tortoise.

Three Thunder Cannons rested on its back.

A catapult was hidden under its belly.

Its limbs were thick and powerful. Every step it took shook the ground.

Height: 20 ters

Length: 35 ters

Weight: approximately 500 tons

Armor thickness: 500 milliters (silver-grade alloy)

Weapon configuration: Thunder Cannon ×3, Lava Thrower ×2, Giant Warhamr ×2

Special effect: can absorb magical damage and convert it to energy; can release [Thunder Roar] to stun surrounding enemies

Ironforge had thirty of these War Behemoths.

Piloting them were the dwarves’ elite Ironwrath warriors.

Every one was at least blackgold-grade or higher.

Any human legion facing such defenses would find them extrely difficult.

But at the foot of the city, the player army was buzzing with excitent.

[Legion Channel]

"Holy shit! Did you see those things? So cool!"

"What are those? chanical beasts?!"

"Dwarves’ War Behemoths! I saw them in the Luminara Dwarf Manual! Blackgold-grade!"

"Damn! Blackgold-grade? How tough is that?"

"Who cares how tough! Kill them and get the loot!"

"Exactly! We might lose so XP if we die, but a single blackgold-grade drop is huge!"

"Charge, brothers!"

"Charge what? The battle hasn’t even started!"

"Can’t we just be excited?"

"What do you think Faustus will do?"

"He’ll probably crush them directly. Do you not know his strength?"

"True..."

...

As the players chatted, a deep horn sounded from the mountaintop.

Woo—!

Everyone looked up in unison.

A massive flag rose from the mountain top.

It was entirely silver, with a radiant star embroidered at the center.

Golden tassels lined its edges.

The flag flapped in the wind, radiating a subtle sense of authority.

The Polaris banner!

Then, a gigantic black shadow descended from the sky.

Roar—!

The thunderous roar of a dragon echoed through the clouds.

It was a fifty-ter-long dragon, its scales resembling jagged rock.

A row of sharp stone spines ran along its back.

Its wings stretched wide, blotting out the sun.

An Earthmount Dragon!

On its back stood a figure.

Daniel!

He wore the Windstrider set.

Black Dragon Wings spread behind him.

In his hands, he held Moon Reaper.

Sunlight fell behind him, casting a golden glow.

[Legion Channel]

"Holy shit!!!"

"So cool!!!"

"That’s Faustus!!!"

"I’m fired up!"

"Charge! Follow the master!"

"Wait! He hasn’t given the order yet!"

"I can’t control myself! This is a battle of millions!"

"Exactly. In old online gas, even ten-thousand-player battles were impressive. Now, millions!"

"Insane... I’m a university professor and I took a week off for this. Stellar is my life now..."

"The NPC generals’ battle skills are so professional. This ga is top-tier!"

...

On Ironforge’s walls, a dwarf general in golden armor stepped forward.

[Ironwrath General Steelhamr (LV245·epic-grade)]

He tilted his head, staring at the dragon and the figure on its back.

His face was grim.

"Humans!"

His voice thundered across the battlefield.

"You truly wish to fight the dwarves?!"

"I admit your strength is not weak, but Ironforge is not a bone you can chew easily!"

"Retreat now, and we may let you go!"

"Otherwise—"

He raised his hand.

All War Machines on the wall simultaneously targeted the sky.

"We will make sure you never return!"

Daniel looked down at him, a slight smile on his lips.

"Too much talk."

He raised Moon Reaper.

Shattering Cot!

Arrowstorm!

Both skills released simultaneously.

A stream of light shot into the sky, splitting into thousands of golden arrows.

At the sa ti, countless arrows rained down from above, rging with the split arrows.

The sky filled with golden lights, falling like a teor shower.

They smashed against the walls.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions thundered.

The walls were engulfed in golden fire.

When the dust settled, everyone gasped.

The so-called indestructible walls had been torn open, a hundred-ter-long breach.

Debris littered the ground.

Countless dwarf warriors on the walls were killed or injured.

Over ten War Machines were destroyed.

[Legion Channel]

"Holy shit!!!"

"One arrow destroyed the wall!!"

"Amazing! Is he really a player? Stronger than NPCs!"

"This is Faustus’ strength? I love it! Stellar’s number one!"

"Stop talking! Charge! The gates are open!"

"Brothers, move!"

...

"Damn humans!"

Five figures leapt from the city toward Daniel.

Leading them was Ironwrath General Steelhamr.

[Ironwrath General Steelhamr (LV265·epic-grade)]

HP: 1,050,000

Skills: [Ironwrath Battle Intent], [Great Axe Slash], [War Roar], [Steel Body], [Rage Burst]

Four more figures followed him.

[Ironwrath Knight Thunderhamr (LV258·epic-grade)]

[Ironwrath Berserker Firehamr (LV260·epic-grade)]

[Ironwrath Swordsman Stonebrute (LV255·epic-grade)]

[Ironwrath Warrior Windaxe (LV259·epic-grade)]

Each was epic-grade.

Each had at least 800,000 HP.

Seeing them, Hudson’s face changed.
