"Hahahaha! That’s a big dream," the Divine Lord said with an amused laugh. "A lot of people have similar aspirations early on. But if your luck continues to be as good as it was this ti, it’s not impossible."

Lin Wei hesitated before asking, "Uh... do I really have to depend on luck, Senior Divine Lord?"

He clearly didn’t like the idea very much. Relying on sothing so unpredictable felt uncomfortable to him.

The Divine Lord clicked his tongue lightly.

"Tch, tch. That’s the wrong mindset to have."

He looked at Lin Wei with a slightly more serious expression.

"You may like it or not, but luck is an extrely important aspect of cultivation. Perhaps the most important one. It isn’t sothing you can control easily, but it influences everything."

He folded his arms behind his back as he continued.

"So never look down on soone who achieves sothing because of good luck. In fact, you should always hope luck favors you whenever possible. If you ever encounter soone truly plagued by bad luck, you’ll understand exactly what I an."

Lin Wei straightened his posture and cupped his hands respectfully.

"Yes, Senior Divine Lord. I will rember that."

He listened with full attention. If soone who had already reached the level of Divinity said sothing like this, it would be foolish to ignore it.

From what Lin Wei knew, beings who achieved Divinity were essentially godlike existences. They possessed power capable of destroying entire worlds if they wished, and their lifespan stretched into eternity.

Calling them gods was not an exaggeration.

"Hahaha! Good."

The Divine Lord reached out and gave Lin Wei’s shoulder a friendly pat.

"Alright, kid. Stop calling ’Senior Divine Lord’ every sentence. Just call Senior Raisho."

Lin Wei nodded quickly, correcting himself mid-sentence.

"Senior Divine Lord... uh, Senior Raisho. You’re surprisingly easy to talk to. I thought a Divinity would be... less approachable."

Earlier he had been extrely nervous, worried that a careless word might offend this godlike figure. But after speaking for a while, he realized the man in front of him was far more relaxed than he expected.

Divine Lord Raisho smiled faintly.

"I am quite approachable, aren’t I?" he said casually.

Then he added with a hint of humor in his voice.

"That’s exactly why I was selected for this job."

Lin Wei blinked in confusion, clearly not understanding what he ant.

"You might not know this," Divine Lord Raisho began, clasping his hands behind his back as he slowly paced across the chamber, "but our galaxy is actually a very young galaxy."

Lin Wei and his wives listened quietly.

"Back when our galaxy entered what we call the Golden Age of Cultivation," Raisho continued, "countless pioneer ships were sent from the heart of the galaxy to planetary systems across its vast expanse. Their purpose was simple. Establish void pathways."

He gestured lightly toward the sky outside the pyramid.

"With those pathways, cultivators from the central regions can travel to even the most distant planetary systems with relative ease."

Lin Wei frowned slightly as he processed this.

"Why?" he asked bluntly. "Do you want to rule the entire galaxy?"

Raisho burst into laughter. "Hahahaha! That’s a very common assumption."

Then he shook his head.

"But it’s wrong." He waved his hand casually.

"Outer planetary systems like this one have almost nothing that a Divinity would want. All the best treasures, the richest spiritual environnts, and the greatest inheritances are concentrated near the galactic center."

He glanced at Lin Wei.

"Even in mortal kingdoms, rulers compete for fertile land and rich resources, don’t they? Why would anyone bother ruling a barren frontier?"

Lin Wei blinked, then slowly nodded.

When he thought about it from that perspective, it made perfect sense. Even he himself was eager to leave this region and go to the heart of the galaxy.

If that was the case, why would powerful beings bother conquering a place like this?

Raisho’s expression beca slightly more serious.

"We do this to protect the galaxy."

Lin Wei and the two won straightened instinctively.

Raisho pointed upward toward the vast darkness beyond the sky.

"Out there," he said quietly, "countless terrifying predators and unknown dangers are lurking."

His voice remained calm, but the weight of his words sent an involuntary chill down their spines.

"If we aren’t careful, an entire galaxy can be devoured."

He glanced toward the distant Colossal Tree. "That World Piercer Tree out there is actually one of those predators. Fortunately, its danger level is relatively low."

Lin Wei almost choked when he heard that. Low?

Raisho continued casually.

"It must first grow on a planet before it can beco dangerous. That makes it relatively easy to detect and prevent if discovered early enough."

Then he lifted his gaze toward the endless void above.

"The truly dangerous ones are those that grow silently in the darkness of space, completely undetected."

Lin Wei and his wives felt their scalps tingle.

Sothing capable of devouring an entire galaxy... What kind of monstrosity could even do such a thing? And more importantly...Why would sothing need to devour a galaxy?

Raisho seed amused by their shocked expressions.

"That’s why we chart planetary systems and establish void pathways," he explained. "The more regions we connect and protect, the stronger the defensive network of our galaxy becos."

He smiled faintly.

"And there’s another benefit. As the galaxy stabilizes and expands under protection, cultivators themselves beco stronger."

Lin Wei’s eyes narrowed slightly. He had caught the subtle implication behind those words.

"In the future," Raisho continued, "you’ll learn more about these matters. For now, you only need to understand one thing."

He raised a finger.

"It is essential for us to protect as many planetary systems as possible."

Lin Wei nodded slowly.

From the way Senior Raisho spoke about it, it was clear that the fate of the galaxy itself was deeply intertwined with the path of cultivation.

"But Senior Raisho," Lin Wei said, still puzzled, "what does that have to do with you being friendly?"

Raisho burst into laughter again.

"Hahahaha! Think about it. The ones who aren’t friendly like ... do you really think they’d be willing to co all the way out here and interact with people from outer planetary systems?"

He waved his hand dismissively.

"So of them view everyone living in the outer regions of the galaxy as nothing more than ants. They completely disdain interacting with you."

Lin Wei felt a chill hearing that.

Raisho continued, his tone still light but carrying a trace of seriousness.

"A long ti ago there was an incident. Soone like that was sent to a planetary system with a budding civilization. Instead of completing the mission properly, he got annoyed with the locals and wiped out every living being on the planet."

Angela and Lana both inhaled sharply.

"That incident caused quite a disaster," Raisho said. "So nowadays, when it cos to missions involving outer planetary systems, we prefer sending soone with a... friendlier personality."

He grinned at Lin Wei.

"So rejoice, young man. You got lucky again."

Lin Wei forced a small smile, but inwardly he was shaken.

People like that exist...

He silently reminded himself that once he entered the wider galaxy, he would need to be extrely careful. Offending the wrong cultivator might lead to consequences far worse than death.

Raisho clapped his hands lightly.

"Alright, Lin Wei. What do you want to do now? Tell . Do you want to leave with right away, or do you still have unfinished matters here? I can wait for a while."

Lin Wei thought for a mont before speaking.

"Senior Raisho... can you bring us back to our planet first?"

Raisho blinked in mild surprise.

"Huh? You an this isn’t your ho planet?"

Lin Wei quickly explained the entire situation, from how he and the others ca from another world to how they ended up in this one.

Raisho nodded thoughtfully after hearing the explanation.

"I see. No wonder there are only around ten thousand humans on this entire planet."

He stroked his chin slightly.

"It’s good that your original planet has many people. The more life there is, the more cultivators can eventually erge. Life itself is extrely important for the growth of our galaxy."

Lin Wei nodded eagerly.

"Then... can you bring us back?"

Raisho chuckled. "Lin Wei, did you forget what this ship is?"

Lin Wei blinked.

"This is a pioneer ship capable of traveling across the cosmos," Raisho continued. "Even without , you could return ho easily using it."

"Eh? I can?" Lin Wei said in disbelief.

From everything he had seen in the control system, nothing suggested such a function existed.

Raisho paused, then suddenly snapped his fingers.

"Oh, right. You’re only in the Core Formation Realm. You don’t have the clearance to access that function yet."

Lin Wei was speechless.

"I forgot about that," Raisho said casually. "In that case, I’ll bring you ho myself. It’s no big deal."

Lin Wei imdiately cupped his hands respectfully.

"Thank you, Senior Raisho! Please wait a mont. I need to gather everyone who is still alive."

Raisho waved his hand dismissively. "No need."

He smiled calmly. "I’ll do it. It’ll be faster."

A few minutes later, the lowest and most spacious level of the pyramid was filled with over ten thousand humans.

The thousands of demonic beasts that Lin Wei had gathered previously were shocked to see so many humans suddenly appear.
