Vaporeon thought to itself: This duck is being played like a fiddle. How amusing. It can't even find , even though I'm right next to it.
Just as Vaporeon prepared to finish the match with an Ice Beam, Sirfetch'd suddenly flashed a smug grin. Its leek stalk began to glow with a brilliant golden hue, absorbing countless particles of light.
Vaporeon's heart skipped a beat: Wait, it found ?
Sirfetch'd swung its stalk, unleashing a devastating Solar Blade. The sheer intensity of the light sliced through the air. Vaporeon's instincts scread: If I take this hit, I'm done for!
Leaping out of the water in a panic, Vaporeon scrambled back toward Red. A pillar of golden light followed it like a heat-seeking missile. Red recognized the danger instantly. "That power... it's basically a Solar Beam in sword form. Vaporeon can't tank that!"
Red acted in a split second. Before the Solar Blade could connect, he hurled a Fire Stone at his partner. A red light engulfed Vaporeon as it evolved into Flareon.
The Solar Blade struck, but Flareon's fire-red skin and high internal temperature dampened the blow. Flareon, with its bushy cream-colored mane and tail, can internalize air to create flas reaching 1700°C.
Flareon took a deep breath, and a literal sea of fire erupted from its mouth, covering the entire battlefield. It smirked, imagining the Sirfetch'd turning into a roasted duck.
Sirfetch'd, however, looked at the inferno with pure disdain. This fire is all flash and no substance, the duck thought. It raised its leek and used Slash. A violent gust of wind tore through the arena, splitting the sea of fire in two and extinguishing the flas instantly.
The stadium went dead silent before erupting in cheers. "Is that really a leek? It's like a legendary sword!" "A single swing put out a Flareon's fire... that's terrifying." "Wait, didn't he say that was a Farfetch'd evolution? I thought those were almost extinct because people ate them all!"
Feng Che watched his Sirfetch'd's arrogant posture and sighed. This bird is getting a big head. I'll let it slide for now since it perford well, but training will be doubled tomorrow. And I know it's been sneaking into my wine cellar again. It's the only Pokémon I know that gets stronger the more it drinks... I need three other Pokémon just to pin it down when it gets 'drunk-fighting' style.
"Flareon, Fla Charge!" Red shouted. Flareon beca a wheel of fire, charging at top speed.
"Sirfetch'd, Slash."
Sirfetch'd flicked its leek, sending a blade of compressed air forward. The wind was so sharp it stripped the flas right off Flareon's body, reducing the "Fla Charge" to a re Quick Attack. Sirfetch'd braced its shield—reinforced with Iron Defense—and Flareon slamd into it with a dull thud.
Flareon recoiled, a massive bump growing on its head as it saw stars.
"Sirfetch'd, Brutal Swing!"
Sirfetch'd used its stalk to launch Flareon into the air, then followed up with a flurry of green blurs. Flareon crashed to the ground, twitching as it devolved back into Eevee—looking small, helpless, and weak.
"Eevee is unable to battle! The winner of the tournant is Feng Che!"
The crowd roared. "He did it! He beat Red!" "Now cos the final test... the Elite Four."
Agatha stood up, leaning on her cane. "Ti to see what this boy is made of." Lorelei smiled enigmatically. "I wonder if his Ice-types can match mine." Hagen and Blaze also stood up. "Let's go, it's ti to test him ourselves."
Red walked up to Feng Che, offering a hand. "You're amazing, Feng Che. I'll keep training. I want a rematch." "Anyti, Red. You're not half-bad yourself."
League Headquarters
The Elite Four gathered. Agatha spoke: "The rules are simple. Each of us will use one Gym Leader-level Pokémon. Defeat all four, and the Viridian Gym is yours. If you fail... Red or Blue will get the chance."
"No problem," Feng Che replied.
"First up," Agatha announced, "is Hagen."
Feng Che entered a world of cold steel. The arena was filled with iron spikes and jagged tallic rocks. Along the walls were displays of the rarest ores in the world. This guy is even more obsessed than Steven Stone, Feng Che thought.
"Welco, Feng Che. I am Hagen, the Steel-type Elite," Hagen said, releasing his Pokémon: Perrserker.
Perrserker, the evolution of Galarian owth, stood on two legs with hardened, grey fur and eyes like orange embers. Its facial hair resembled a Viking beard, and its claws could rge into a singular shortsword. It radiated a chilling, tallic aura.
"Feng Che, since my Perrserker is from Galar, why not use your Sirfetch'd? I want to see its true strength after that display against Red," Hagen proposed.
"Of course," Feng Che agreed. After all, he had stolen Hagen's precious Heart of Steel. Satisfying the man's small wish for a good fight was the least he could do.
Sirfetch'd popped out of its ball, looking confused. Didn't I just finish? Why am I back out? Its eyes narrowed as it saw the Perrserker grinning wickedly at it.

Ability: Steely Spirit
Status: Eager for Battle
Evaluation: A hunter that loves the sll of blood. It enjoys the feeling of warm blood hitting its cold, tallic body.
Perrserker looked at Sirfetch'd as if it were prey. It rged its claws into blades and lunged with Fury Swipes.
"Sirfetch'd, Iron Defense!"
The tallic clangs of the Viking cat's claws hitting the bird's shield echoed throughout the room. Feng Che watched closely, waiting for the Perrserker to reveal its hidden trick.
