I Can Hear Pokémon’s Thoughts Chapter 354: The Resurrected Genesect

"The Heart of the Sea... that is indeed a top-tier legendary resource. Legend has it that it's a treasure passed down through generations of Lugia," Feng Che mused, recalling the lore. "They say it contains the secrets of Lugia's divine authority over the tides."

"Our mole inside the League says Damalanchi will move in three days," Lance explained over the encrypted line, his voice tight. "High Priest Shamiao and I are heading to the Whirl Islands. Lorelei has already positioned her Ice Legion in the surrounding waters."

"This battle will be lethal. However, Shamiao specifically requested your help. Since both of you possess the Power of Viridian, he wants to combine your strengths to support Lugia. She is expected to lay an egg soon, and that is when she will be at her most vulnerable. I'm just... worried about your safety, Feng Che."

"I understand, Lance. I'll be ready to rendezvous with you at the Whirl Islands," Feng Che replied. "But don't worry about . I've officially stepped into the Heavenly King rank."

Thanks to the massive resource influx from the Gardenia family, Feng Che had successfully pushed Corviknight, Sirfetch'd, Gyarados, Ditto, Incineroar, and Greninja into the Heavenly King tier. His other Pokémon were hovering between the peak of Gym Leader rank and Quasi-Heavenly King.

One minor frustration remained: even though Ditto had reached the Heavenly King rank, its transformations were still capped at the peak of Gym Leader strength. After discussing it with wtwo, Feng Che concluded that the DNA samples Ditto had previously consud were simply too "weak" to keep up with its current growth. It needed to consu the essence of more powerful, legendary beings to evolve its mimicry.

Expanding the Viridian Legacy

Back at the Viridian Gym, Feng Che t with his assistants, Pakudo and Huji. Huji's maternal glow was unmistakable as she gently rested a hand on her slightly swollen belly.

"Everything is normal at the Gym, Patriarch," Pakudo reported respectfully. "We've beco a major hub for contracts. The residents of Viridian City prefer taking jobs through us now."

"Excellent. Next, we expand," Feng Che declared. "I want to purchase the surrounding hills. We are moving the primary operations of the Rainbow Nursery here to Viridian City. Buy up every mountain nearby—price is no object."

Originally, Feng Che had placed the nursery in Celadon City because it was the heart of Kanto's berry trade. But now, as the secret head of the Gardenia clan, he had a direct line to the best berries in the world via high-capacity transport planes. Viridian City, a city of rcenaries and trainers, had a much higher demand for high-end Pokémon cultivation and dical services.

"The Rainbow Nursery will eventually be renad the Viridian Nursery," Feng Che mused. "The original site in Celadon will be converted into a massive retail flagship."

He handed Pakudo a sleek, matte-black card. "This is an anonymous account. Once you negotiate the land prices, use this to settle the balance."

Huji gasped. "Is that... a Global Black Card? I heard only a hundred exist in the entire Pokémon world, held by the wealthiest elite. They only issue a new one when a holder passes away."

Pakudo smiled warmly at his wife. "It doesn't matter where it ca from, Huji. We only need to know that Patriarch Feng Che gave us a ho and ended our life as fugitives. Our child will be born into peace. Let's focus on doing our jobs well."

Orders from Team Rocket

Shortly after, Feng Che arrived at the Team Rocket headquarters. Giovanni sat behind his desk, looking uncharacteristically pleased.

"Two things, Feng Che," Giovanni began. "First, Damalanchi's move. Sabrina (Natsu) confird the Sevii Islands are a distraction; the real target is the Whirl Islands. She needs your support. A plane is waiting to take you and Lt. Surge (Matisse)."

"Second: our research into the Paleozoic insectoid Mythical, Genesect, has been a success. Dr. Fuji has resurrected the specin."

"Dr. Fuji is insistent that you are the only one capable of designing its integrated tallic armor. He's pestered for weeks, so go see him. Give him your preliminary thoughts, go to the Whirl Islands, and we'll finish the design when you return."

Giovanni's tone then turned apologetic. "Regarding the incident with Sakaki Tsuna... I have purged his faction. As compensation, you may select one of three legendary resources from the Rocket treasury. One warning, though: Tsuna has vanished. The guards watching him were found as shriveled husks. He may co for you. I've increased your security, but stay vigilant."

"Go see Fuji now. Then, to the Whirl Islands."

Feng Che bowed. "Understood, Leader."

As he walked toward the labs, Feng Che's mind was already plotting. Dr. Fuji resurrected Genesect... in the original tiline, it took another team five years to perfect it after Fuji's death. If I can get my hands on any failed resurrection biological material... I can feed it to Ditto.

He quickened his pace toward the laboratory of the man who had created wtwo.
