The golden gorilla was fully occupied dealing with the invisible attacks.

Seizing the opportunity, Leon shot toward the wolf-headed beast and the elf-like monster.

"First Form: Sword Dance."

Leon moved like a shadow, blending into the darkness. In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance and slashed at the wolf-headed beast.

The monster reacted instantly, swinging its clawed hand to et the attack.

Clang!

The collision sent Leon sliding backward.

Even with a sword in hand, he was still pushed back. That was the difference between a C-Class knight and an S-Class powerhouse.

anwhile, Jasper’s eyes narrowed.

"This monster..." he muttered while fending off another attack. "Even though it’s emitting the aura of an S-Class monster, it’s definitely weaker than one. Way weaker. Its actual strength is around B-Class at best. But..."

Clang!

Another clash rang out.

The Lion-like beast was forced back more than ten ters again.

Jasper’s gaze focused on the orange beast. "These sword moves... The way it’s dodging, attacking, and controlling the flow of battle... It’s unbelievable." A frown appeared on his face. "But more importantly... Since when were monsters capable of fighting like this?"

Just as the beast’s claws and Leon’s blade were about to collide once more...

Zap!

A bolt of lightning stord forward in the blink of an eye and slamd into Leon.

Boom!

Leon was blasted away like a cannonball.

From the mansion entrance, Alpha watched the battle unfold. The longer he observed, the grimr his expression beca.

"Bravo." His voice was low. "That boy’s strength is sowhere between C-Class and B-Class. But his abilities are dangerous." His eyes remained fixed on Leon. "Ice Magic. Swordsmanship. And most precisely, the stealth mode of weapons. Now I know how my cousin died. He didn’t even see it coming."

Each word carried greater weight than the last.

"Every single one of his abilities is an offensive ability. Deadly on its own. We can’t let him live."

Bravo’s brows rose slightly. "What about taking him to your uncle?"

Alpha shook his head. "Forget that." A cold glint flashed through his eyes. "He could escape. Worse, he might beco a threat to us in the future." He paused for a bit.

"Kill him now."

"Are you sure?" Bravo asked.

"You know I’m right." Alpha’s voice left no room for debate. "Do it."

Bravo stared at Leon for a mont before nodding.

"Alright."

He raised a hand and began whispering another spell. The words couldn’t be heard. But the effect was imdiate.

The massive circular formation surrounding the battlefield suddenly brightened. Its gentle white glow rapidly deepened into crimson.

The next mont...

"Aaaargh!"

Screams erupted across the battlefield. Hunters clutched their heads in agony. Not just the A-Class hunters.

Even the S-Class hunters were affected.

Veins bulged across their foreheads as their eyes slowly turned blood-red. One after another, they lifted their heads.

Every single gaze locked onto the orange lion-headed beast.

Rage. Ferocity. Bloodlust. Nothing else remained in their eyes.

Then they charged. All at once.

Leon had just pushed himself back to his feet when he saw the scene unfold.

His jaw clenched. "Don’t tell you’re getting that impatient." A savage grin spread across his face. "Fine, then."

He shot forward as well. "Co and et your demise."

But the mont the words left his mouth, Leon froze internally.

’Fuck...What did I just say?’ His expression twitched.’Why did that feel so natural?Like I’ve always acted this way...’

A strange sense of familiarity washed over him.

’Don’t tell ...’

Before he could think further...

An A-Class monster thrust a spear toward his chest. Leon barely managed to duck beneath it at the last possible mont. The spear swept past his head. Before he could regain his footing...

Bang!

A powerful kick slamd into his side. Leon was sent flying across the battlefield.

’Damn it...’

As pain shot through his body, a realization surfaced in his mind.

’That battle hunger is really starting to take over.’

Leon pushed himself to his feet once more. Most of his injuries had already healed, but before he could react, the sky darkened even further. Dark clouds gathered above the Bowen Estate, covering the entire area.

Leon’s gaze imdiately locked onto the elf-like monster. Its arm was raised high, the tip of its sword pointing toward the sky.

Lightning crackled in the sky, so zigzag arcs of blue and white energy connecting the sword with it now and then.

Zap!

Zap!

Its eyes had turned completely white. Then it swung its sword downward.

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

Thunderous bolts of lightning rained from the sky. Leon desperately dodged. Again and again. Barely.

Each bolt struck the ground with terrifying force. Wherever they landed, small craters exploded into existence. Smoke billowed upward as remnants of lightning danced across the shattered earth.

Leon’s expression darkened. "So this is what an S-Class monster is truly capable of. It had been holding back this whole ti."

No matter how hard he tried, one bolt descended on his shoulder. Flesh charred instantly. The sll of burning skin filled the air.

Leon almost bit his tongue to the point of bleeding. His knees gave out, collapsing into the ground and creating a crater. The self-healing was already in action.

He sohow pulled himself up and started running desperately.

But before the injury was fully healed, he was struck again. This ti on his left hand. Only a graze, but still enough to kill soone instantly.

"Hissss." Smoke curled up again, but Leon still didn’t stop.

Just as he was weaving through the relentless storm of lightning, his injuries still healing...

Bang!

A white palm slamd into his face and pinned him down into the ground, hard.

Boom!

A massive shockwave erupted outward. Cracks spread across the earth in every direction, covering a radius of more than fifty ters.

Leon’s head was buried deep underground.

Pain exploded throughout his body.

It was the wolf-headed beast.

Before he could even recover, the monster rose to its feet and leaped high into the air.

And then...

Its body started to descend at high speed, its claws pointing downward. Like an arrow released from a bow. Ready to pierce straight through Leon’s body.

Leon gritted his teeth and tried to stand. But the pain was too intense. His injuries were already healing.

Just not fast enough.

The descending monster drew closer.

Five ters.

Four.

Three.

Two.

Death was almost upon him.

Then suddenly...

A female voice echoed inside his mind.

Soft. Gentle. Enchanting.

Like a warm breeze brushing against his soul.

"Master. Use the Frost Monarch’s Blade to cut through the hallucination."
