Outside a study hall in one of Dongqi University’s academic buildings, Zhao Rui hung up the phone with his aunt, feeling pleasantly surprised.

He hadn’t expected to receive a dinner invitation from his uncle’s family so close to the end of the sester.

A rare treat, indeed!

After putting his phone away, he turned and went back into the study hall.

Final exams were just around the corner, so he had to take reviewing his major coursework seriously.

Fortunately, he had recently copied a "top-grade" Cultivation Technique from that "Good Samaritan" Miao, and he didn’t have any Level assessnt missions.

He could put matters of the Martial Dao aside for now.

This gave him a rare opportunity to have the ti and energy to switch back to being a proper university student and enjoy a bit of simple, everyday campus life.

His accounting classmates, who were used to Zhao Rui showing up right before class and leaving the mont it ended, were surprised to find him actually attending a study session.

Imdiately, they all started guessing if he had been kicked off the Martial Arts Team.

Or perhaps he was just setting aside ti to study for the year-end exams.

But no one was blunt enough to ask him directly.

At his seat, Zhao Rui looked over the key review points He Wanqing had copied for him while listening to her patient explanations.

Under her guidance, his thought process for solving problems beca much clearer for many topics he hadn’t understood in class.

Just as the two were absorbed—one teaching earnestly, the other listening intently—a boy with a side-parted hairstyle suddenly poked his head in through the classroom doorway.

The boy with the side-part stared brazenly, scanned the room, and then, as if having confird his target, quickly spun around and ran off.

Seeing this, Zhao Rui’s roommate Le Bin shot to his feet and said to Chu Yunlei, "Let’s go! Quick!"

The mont Chu Yunlei heard this, his hands started to tremble as he frantically shoved his books into his bag.

"What are you packing for? Just run!"

Le Bin anxiously pulled him to his feet and dragged him toward the exit.

The other students who saw this were stunned. ’What’s going on?’

Zhao Rui was completely baffled as well. Before he could call out to them, the two had already run out.

"What was that all about?"

Zhao Rui asked, looking curiously at his other roommate, Jian Congsheng.

Jian Congsheng opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say a word, Le Bin and Chu Yunlei, who had just run out, reappeared, backing into the room with looks of panic.

"Trying to run? Where do you think you’re going? Just wait here obediently!"

A cocky-looking young man appeared in the doorway, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

"You’re taking this too far! I’m going to tell a teacher."

Le Bin said, trying to act calm.

"Tell them what? Did I hit you? Did I curse at you? You got any proof?"

After speaking, the young man pointed at the other students still in the classroom and bood, "All of you, sit the fuck down. This has nothing to do with you."

With that, he leaned against the doorfra and leisurely turned his head to check out the girls in the class.

"Not bad. Your class has a lot of beauties."

The young man’s tone was rather flirtatious; he didn’t seem like a Dongqi University student at all.

Just then, another set of footsteps echoed from the doorway, and three more young n strode in.

The leader held his head high with a swaggering air. He had gold studs glittering in both ears, giving him a sort of edgy, preppy look.

"Sorry to interrupt your studies."

The leader with the earrings said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, "I’m here today for Chu Yunlei. This has nothing to do with anyone else, it’s a personal grudge. But I don’t like the look of him. If any of you are close to him, don’t bla for not warning you."

With that, the earring guy strode toward Chu Yunlei.

When he reached him, he looked at Chu Yunlei, who was trembling like a frightened quail, and laughed. "Let’s go, you wuss. If you don’t have the balls, don’t pretend to be a hero."

He then reached out to grab him by the collar.

It looked like he was about to drag him away by his collar.

Everyone present looked at each other, and the room fell into a terrifying silence.

The earring guy was very pleased with everyone’s reaction, his expression growing even more smug.

Just as his hand was about to touch Chu Yunlei’s neck, a large hand suddenly appeared as if from thin air, clamping down firmly on his arm.

The grip was so strong that he couldn’t move an inch.

"If you have a problem, talk it out. Getting physical in a classroom isn’t appropriate, is it?"

Along with the hand ca a calm voice.

The young man’s face darkened. He looked up and saw a handso boy with strong, resolute features.

"You want to get involved?"

"Whether I get involved or not depends on whether what you’re doing is right. This is a school."

The one who had stopped him was, of course, Zhao Rui. Bullying soone from his own class—and even his own dorm—right in front of him was going a bit too far.

’If there’s an issue, they can talk about it. There’s no need to get physical right from the start.’

"Fine!"

A vicious glint flashed in the earring guy’s eyes as he suddenly swung a punch at Zhao Rui.

’So you want to play the hero.’

’I’m a Third-level Martial Artist. I’ll fuck you up!’

The earring guy’s smug gaze suggested he could already see the embarrassing sight of this guy with a bloody nose.

As his fist drew closer and closer to his opponent, his smile grew wider.

SMACK!

Suddenly, a hand as solid as a fortress wall appeared abruptly in front of his fist.

A massive force instantly rebounded from the other’s palm, making his fist feel as if it had slamd into a wall. An intense pain shot through his bones.

"AARGH!"

The earring guy let out a pained roar. He tried to cradle his injured fist with his other hand to ease the pain, but after trying to yank it free for a good while, he found that arm wouldn’t budge an inch.

Only then did he realize he had ssed with the wrong guy.

He snarled in frustration, "Do you have any idea who my little brother is?"

Zhao Rui released his hands and said coolly, "The principal?"
