Wang Han raised an eyebrow and said magnanimously.
It was just a matter of adding two more pairs of chopsticks. Besides, anyone who was a classmate of Luo Min’s had to be a top-tier Martial Arts Student.
They were worth getting to know.
"Who brings outsiders to a class reunion? Honestly!"
Sun Tiantian grumbled under her breath, displeased.
Hearing this, Zhao Rui just smiled and reached out to ruffle her hair, a gesture for her to calm down.
He had noticed the two people behind Luo Min right away. One of them, Han Xingyi, was also on the Martial Arts Team.
Of course he knew her.
Luo Min had a natural charisma that drew both n and won to her. Unlike Miao Miaomiao’s Charm Skill, hers was purely a personal quality.
It wasn’t the least bit surprising that her university classmates would co looking for her to hang out.
But that had nothing to do with him. It wasn’t like they were here for him, after all.
With Luo Min’s arrival, everyone was finally present. The group headed over to the private dining room.
Quite a few people showed up—only a handful from the entire class were absent—so Wang Han had booked two large private rooms.
Enough to hold forty or fifty people.
As the stars of the show, Wang Han and Luo Min naturally stayed in a room with the teachers, along with so others who were closer to them.
Zhao Rui and his friends were definitely not in that group, so they tactfully went straight to the private room next door.
"We should just have our own get-togethers from now on."
Yang Fan said unhappily as he sat down at the table.
"I don’t mind, as long as soone’s paying."
Zhao Rui said with a laugh.
"You have no standards."
Yang Fan scoffed.
"Zhao Rui, if you were still a Martial Arts Student, you’d be at the teachers’ table right now."
a guy nearby said with a hint of regret.
"What’s the difference? Is the food over there made of gold?"
Zhao Rui chuckled.
The guy just smiled dismissively, thinking to himself, ’You’re just putting on a brave face. You’re probably regretting it deep down.’
It was a reunion after a long separation, so even those who didn’t usually talk much found themselves chatting.
New schools, new surroundings, post-graduation experiences—there was so much to talk about.
Before they knew it, three bottles of cold beer had been finished.
"The teachers are here! Everyone, stand up!"
Just then, the door swung open, and several teachers walked in, accompanied by a few students, all beaming.
"My students, I’m so happy. It was an honor to teach such an outstanding group of young people..."
As the teacher continued the emotional speech, so of the more sentintal girls even started to cry.
When the teacher finished, everyone raised their glasses and drank together.
After the toast, just as the teachers were about to leave, Luo Min suddenly walked gracefully over to Zhao Rui. Her laughter arrived before she did.
"Zhao Rui, I was wondering where you were! Long ti no see. You haven’t even co to watch us compete."
Her faintly chiding tone made it sound as if they were extrely close.
"I have faith in you guys!"
Zhao Rui chuckled, giving a noncommittal answer.
Luo Min’s smile blossod. She suddenly leaned in close to his ear and whispered in a voice barely louder than a mosquito’s buzz, "I’m definitely going to beat you this ti!"
Zhao Rui smiled, unfazed. Instead of backing away, he leaned in even closer to her smooth, fair cheek and said, "You’re so good at stirring up trouble. You’re going to get a spanking for that when we get back to school, you know."
"You...!"
Luo Min hadn’t expected him to be so blunt. Her pretty face instantly flushed red, as if she were drunk.
Then, with a captivating smile, she turned and walked out.
Their interaction left everyone in the room stunned, montarily frozen in astonishnt.
This was especially true for Wang Han, who was standing by the door. After a mont of shock, his expression turned as dark as a thundercloud.
He had put on such a show, yet he hadn’t received even a fraction of the intimacy Luo Min was showing.
Zhao Rui was just a Martial Arts Student who’d dropped out. What had he possibly done to deserve this kind of attention?
He couldn’t help but shoot Zhao Rui a cold glare before turning and walking back to his own room with a smile plastered on his face.
"Zhao Rui, and you said you weren’t close with Luo Min! You two were about to kiss right there."
Now, even Yang Fan no longer believed Zhao Rui’s claim that he and Luo Min barely knew each other.
’He’d been completely duped by his best buddy!’
"’The one closest to the action gets the prize!’ That’s our Zhao Rui for you! Giving up the Martial Dao just to go to Dongqi University. Genius, absolute genius!"
The guy’s comnt instantly cleared up everyone’s confusion about why Zhao Rui had abandoned the Martial Dao.
So that was it!
Zhao Rui was amazed at the way people’s minds worked, but on second thought, it did seem pretty logical.
"If I said that’s not it, would you believe ?"
"Tch, don’t act all innocent after you’ve already scored. So, when are you two making it official?"
a girl said with a pout.
In their eyes, while the old Zhao Rui had been decent, he was still far from being a match for Luo Min.
Especially since he wasn’t even a Martial Arts Student anymore.
They had no idea what Luo Min saw in him.
"If you don’t believe , then forget it!"
Zhao Rui couldn’t be bothered to explain further and just went back to eating his al.
Seeing his nonchalant act, Sun Tiantian understood imdiately. She couldn’t help but jut her chin at him, as if to say:
’I believe you. As if you’d be interested in Luo Min!’
It seed only soone who truly liked you would think you were perfect and that no one else was good enough for you.
The buzz from this little episode didn’t last long. After all, nobody really wanted to dwell on it.
There was jealousy and resentnt, and on top of that, a feeling that Luo Min was settling for less.
The mix of emotions was complex.
Soon enough, the crowd moved on to other topics.
After about an hour of eating and drinking, everyone was satisfied. Once the teachers had been seen off, Wang Han suddenly proposed a "second round."
The guys’ ears perked up instantly. Karaoke? A foot massage?
’But that’s not appropriate with the girls around!’
"We’re all Martial Arts Students, and it’s rare that we’re all together like this. Why don’t we spar for old tis’ sake? It’ll also be a chance to see Heroine Luo in action. What do you all say?"
Facing the crowd’s expectant gazes, Wang Han let out a breath heavy with alcohol and announced loudly.
When the guys heard the first part of his proposal, they couldn’t help but roll their eyes, completely uninterested.
But when they heard the second part, they all suddenly got pumped up, as if they’d been shot full of adrenaline.
They all started shouting that it was a great idea.
And so, the group followed Wang Han toward the Martial Arts Arena owned by his family.
Zhao Rui had no interest in this suggestion. He was just about to leave with Yang Fan and the others when he saw Wang Han and Luo Min walking over together.
