Especially when standing before a Dragon-man legion of such overwhelming strength—no one could resist the imnse temptation it brought.

Maybe the future really would be as Morman had said: because of the appearance of these Dragon-man Transformation units, his life would be placed in jeopardy.
But Lin Yi knew very clearly.
Before that day ca, this mysterious force could, before the Demon Race Invasion truly Burst out on a grand scale, save far more people.
Right now, the Battlefields outside the various Main Cities were nothing more than a warm-up in advance for the Demon Race Invasion.
When the warm-up ended and the Demon King stepped onto the Battlefield...
That would be when the real trial began for the Players and for the Hundred Races of Rafam Continent.
Based on the information Lin Yi had so far...
If Rafam Continent failed to hold against the Demon Race’s offensive, then this catastrophe might very well spread all the way to Earth, far out in the depths of the universe.
And if all of this was real, then Rafam Continent was the frontline outpost of Earth.
Lin Yi naturally had to do everything he could to hold this place.
So, given the strength this Dragon-man unit had displayed, Lin Yi simply couldn’t find a reason to refuse.
Yet just as Lin Yi made his choice, a single sentence from Morman suddenly startled him:
"I knew you’d choose that. Heh~"
Lin Yi looked a bit taken aback:
"Why?"
Did this guy know him better than he knew himself?
Or was he just saying that casually?
Morman then revealed a secret that utterly shocked Lin Yi:
"Because this is the third ti you’ve made this choice."
"And of course, it will also be your last."
Under Lin Yi’s utterly incredulous gaze, Morman slowly spoke a piece of earth-shattering truth Lin Yi had never even imagined:
"You really think this is your first rebirth?"
"No."

Listening to these words from Morman—like so wild tale from the end of the world—Lin Yi stood there dumbfounded, his heart unable to calm for a long ti.
Morman had actually already made himself quite clear.
As long as he truly died, he would trigger a special BUG, and then experience another rebirth.
And that rebirth would still take him back to the day Glory of the Gods opened its public beta.
But after rebirth, he would forget every experience he’d had after being reborn, completely wiped clean—just like now, with only that most original stretch of mories from before his first rebirth in his head.
What Lin Yi couldn’t wrap his head around was that he had actually already gone through this whole rebirth scenario twice?
How could this be?
How could sothing this ridiculous happen to him!
Lin Yi wanted to refute, even scoff at, what Morman had said.
But when Lin Yi t Morman’s gaze—that pair of eyes that seed able to pierce through everything—all the words he hadn’t yet spoken suddenly felt pale and powerless.
At the sa ti, Lin Yi instantly understood that so-called line Morman had opened with, about seeing "two endings" in him.
If he really had existed in this void as a bystander the entire ti, was there anything wrong with what he said?

The condition to trigger the rebirth BUG was his death.
Then what was the real goal of the mastermind behind all this—were they hoping he could achieve so particular accomplishnt, or fulfill so expectation of theirs?
If that really was the case, then Lin Yi was forced to make a bitter discovery.
Even now, he was still just a chess piece, struggling in vain on the board... heh.
