On the rooftop of an abandoned building in Binhai City, two dark figures arrived silently.
Under the moonlight, the vague shapes of two burly n could be seen.
They stood there, gazing at a brightly lit area in the distance illuminated by car headlights.
One of the n took out binoculars to look over there, then a satisfied smile appeared on his face as he said to the other man:
"Our prey is in position, let’s begin."
"Oh alright."
The other man, carrying a case, responded and squatted down to open it.
When the lid was lifted, inside was none other than the latest model of the sniper king: the Barrett.
The man quickly assembled the Barrett sniper rifle, then found the best sniping point and began aiming, muttering to himself:
"Oh co on buddy, taste the sensation of a headshot."
Through the scope, upon seeing his target with their back turned to him, the man’s face showed a cold smile:
"Oh~ it’s like divine providence, co on baby."
"Brother Bower, we’re really going to feel the heat from that Eastern girl in the next few days."
The man referred to as Bower, holding the binoculars, said:
"Of course, but shouldn’t we finish the task first?"
"Task?"
Lante, holding the sniper rifle, gave a bloodthirsty smile:
"It’ll be over soon."
He then focused his gaze and pulled the trigger:
"Bang!" A muffled sound rang out.
The large recoil from the sniper rifle pushed Lante back a bit.
As Lante caught hold of the sniper rifle again, ready to savor his ’hunting result’, he was shocked to find that the target had disappeared from the scope!
"Oh damn, what is going on? Where’s the person!"
Confident in his shooting skills, Lante couldn’t believe that soone could dodge a Barrett shot with their back turned.
But where was the body?
Lante looked around, aside from shocked faces and a large bullet hole in the ground, his target was nowhere to be seen.
"Oh damn, what the hell just happened."
Lante continued searching incredulously, asking his partner:
"Hey Bower, did you see that damn guy?"
"What the hell!"
Always alert, Lante suddenly noticed sothing wrong!
Regardless of success or failure, his partner wouldn’t be this silent, making no sound.
At this mont, a mocking voice echoed in Lante’s ears,
"Are you looking for ?"
Upon hearing this voice, Lante, in the fastest move of his life, reached for the pistol at his waist.
But as soon as he moved, Lante felt as though his chest was hit by a truck, his body slamd harshly into a wall beside.
"Crash"
The wall instantly crumbled under Lante’s impact, bricks scattering everywhere.
Lante barely had ti to comprehend what was happening, not even seeing whether the opponent was human or not.
He only knew he was facing the most terrifying challenge of his life.
Enduring the intense pain, Lante had barely landed when he already reached for his waist again.
Just as Lante retrieved his pistol, not yet celebrating, suddenly!
A vine from nowhere lashed against Lante’s hand.
The excruciating pain reaching his soul made Lante drop the gun instantly, his eyes filling with fear of the unknown and death.
Imdiately, Lante felt his body entangled like a python, unable to move.
However, at this mont, Lante disregarded the imnse pain on his body, looking up toward the source of the voice.
Upon seeing the other person’s face, Lante was horrified as if seeing a ghost,
"Oh my God, how is this possible."
At that mont, Lante’s mind could only think four words:
How is this possible!
How could he dodge a bullet from my sniper?
How could he find this place so quickly?
Terrified, Lante stared at the vine around him, breathing life-like, his pupils contracting:
"Oh no!"
But before Lante could speak again, the vine swiftly enveloped Lante. In the end, Lante, like a mummy, struggled a bit before falling silent.
Unlike a mummy, what wrapped Lante was not strips of cloth but bright green vines.
After experiencing so many things, Lin Yi’s ntality had changed dramatically.
For soone attempting to kill him, Lin Yi knew no rcy.
Watching his partner die in such a bizarre manner, the experienced rcenary Bower felt death’s closeness for the first ti.
He had thought this was rely an ordinary hunting task and planned to vacation here afterward.
But instead, what he encountered was a hidden demon in the world!
Lin Yi removed the cleaver from Bower’s neck and discarded it aside, then asked:
"Who sent you to kill ?"
Unexpectedly for Lin Yi, Bower calmly looked at him and said:
"Kill ."
Hearing this response, Lin Yi was montarily stunned.
He hadn’t expected such an answer after setting up so much.
Intrigued, Lin Yi asked:
"Do you think I won’t kill you, or are you really unafraid of death?"
Bower coldly looked at Lin Yi and said:
"As a rcenary, failure ans death."
"You won’t get any information about the employer from ."
Seeing Bower’s words didn’t seem to be lies, Lin Yi knew getting answers from him was impossible.
He then snapped his fingers.
Several vines instantly wrapped around Bower tightly, who didn’t resist, letting the peculiar vines cover him completely.
Bower’s fate echoed Lante, both struggling a bit before going silent.
Just then, a phone rang suddenly.
Lin Yi followed the sound to a broken wall where an unknown number displayed on a stranger’s phone screen.
Picking up the phone, Lin Yi pressed the answer key, and an impatient voice ca through:
"Why did you take so long to answer?"
Then it inquired:
"How’s the task going?"
Hearing the voice through the phone, Lin Yi’s eyes under the moonlight turned into icy cold murderous intent.
"Why aren’t you speaking?"
"Hello!"
Seeming to realize sothing was wrong, the opposite side instantly hung up the call.
Expressionless, Lin Yi discarded the phone aside, furrowed his brow at the two bodies on the ground:
"How should I deal with this?"
Just then, He Hai called, bringing a smile to Lin Yi:
"This timing is just perfect."
Lin Yi stood atop the building, letting the slightly chilly wind brush against his cheeks.
Recalling the voice he heard from that phone, the killing intent in Lin Yi’s heart surged:
"Zhao Ziming, you asked for this!"
In the next mont, Lin Yi disappeared from the spot instantly.
By the ti Lin Yi reappeared, he was already ten ters away,...
In a certain villa in Binhai City, after hanging up the phone, He Hai looked at an ancient parchnt in his hand and sighed lightly:
"Forget it, I’ll wait for the next opportunity to say it face to face."
Recalling Lin Yi’s instructions on the call, He Hai dared not delay for a mont, hurriedly calling to have people sent to the location Lin Yi provided.
